Going in I was greeted with a smile and the owner looked at my purse and said " oh I can repair this " this was music to my ears. The repairs were reasonably priced to get my favorites back. He replaced the worn footbed with new leather, replaced elastic that no longer stretched, and softened stiff seams that had begun rubbing. I got the soles of my boots fixed here about 3 months ago and I wore them for the first time recently and I go back to get them looked at and the owner accused me of lying, literally saying that it wasn't his work since there was no glue. The owner then followed my aunt and I out screaming at us saying I'm lying. It was very unprofessional for the owner to run after us like that to harass us. The owner spoke to my aunt and said he felt like I was lying to him and he has never had this situation happen to him in his 45 years of being a cobbler there. He said the receipt will not show proof of it being that shoe it could be another shoe or a different service. The owner spoke in a disrespectful manner about me again saying he assumed I would've been more educated because I look young and should go back to school. The owner kept saying he was older than us and our parents so he should not be disrespected that way but there was no disrespect from us. It feels like I got scammed and the disrespect from the business owner made this situation worse while also making me feel harassed and uncomfortable. The owner should keep record of all his services and I will not make the bad decision of coming here again. read more

I bought these shoes and were only able to wear them twice. I didn't realize how much they hurt. After about 30 mins to an hour my feet would swell up and I would have to take these babies off. I was so sad. They were so expensive for not being able to wear them. They have been in my closet for 2 years. I found out that you can stretched the shoes. Something I've never thought of. This is a horrible SHOE SHOP please do not waste your time & business at this place! His info shows that he takes credit cards but told me & my husband he takes cash only upfront...we too are long time business owners here in Riverside over 30 years but found him to be very unprofessional, prejudice and does not deserve my business and yours! Took my husbands Dress shoes in to be DYED into a darker brown color which he said he can do but instead he only applied SHOE POLISH on it for $50 and after one wearing the color scuffed back and original color showed up...we took it back right away and he acknowledged that it was only SHOE POLISH which it could've been done at home or by anyone "sitting under a tree" he had a bad attitude and definitely as a business owner do not have the skills to deal with customers in a professional and educated manner! Very RUDE and disrespectful! Will tell all our clients and neighbors: DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY BUSINESS... And I did NOT mean to even give this shop a star!!! I wanted to have a wedge sole put on to some engineer boots . brought them in to this shop and was told how intricate and difficult a job it would be to add a midsole and a wedge sole. there was no re-welting by hand or expensive stacked leather heel. but I came to just the right spot lavon said . he has the immense amount of experience and ability to complete this job. which is basically like a resole but only doing half as much work. he quoted $160 which is very very high! I got comparable estimates from ask a cobbler on Reddit. No one and I mean no one could understand a price point that high. well I accepted it already so all I could do was to hope the work would be so great that it would make me feel justified. I picked them up and let me say. they are ruined. I will have to have a true cobbler re-do everything from the welt to the sole. he did attach a wedge sole. added a wedge to adjust the heel height. but fucked up the appearance . two different colors . amatuer hour! I could do as good or better in my own garage. I paid $160 to make it look professionally done. and I'm so screwed. on top of that he s the beautiful leather of my boot down with Scotch-Guard !??! what? why? they were new. it ruined the leather making it look all plastic and fake. I want my money back and my time back and my original leather back. I let him know at the time of pick up that I was not happy. he doesn't care . seriously find someone who takes pride in their work and a cobbler that cares if they're customers are leaving happy or satisfied. lesson learned the hard way. do not bring any item here. I wouldn't trust him with a pair of Walmart slippers. check out my pictures for evidence. and if Lavon reads this.
