A total waste of time and money. We went to check this place out as a potential birthday party spot and had a terrible experience. It was completely empty and now I understand why. The equipment was not working during our first game and the employee, apparently on a bit of a power trip, turned my kids vests off during our second game because they were "running". They do not allow children to run while playing laser tag. Good luck with that. How else do you play laser tag? She would not refund us or allow us to complete the games we paid for. So I spent over $100 for what totaled a few minutes of play time. Half the arcade games were out of order as well. I don't see this place lasting long. read more

Ryan our guide was very helpful and informative, and gave us lots of tips that made us quickly understand how to throw the axe which made the experience more enjoyable. My son wanted a laser tag party for his 11th birthday and we decided to have the party for him here. We have never visited before and was hoping for the best! When we arrived, we were greeted by the nicest staff that was so helpful and wonderful! The arcade was very clean, the party room was also clean and well prepared for our arrival! Before we came I had a phone call with one of the staff members who took there time with me to go over everything as well as colors for the table cloths, plates, etc(included in the party package) During the party while the kids were in between the laser tag games, two of the girls that were our party hosts created a scavenger hunt for the kids to do(that was not planned) with prizes and the kids could not have been happier! The party hosts went SO above and beyond to make sure the kids were having a great time! I couldn't have been happier but my son and all of his friends at the party had the best time and couldn't have been happier as well! The Lasertag area was huge and fun! After the party I met the owner who just recently purchased the place and he was also so nice and great to talk to. If there was a rating higher than 5 stars they would deserve it! I came with a group of 14 people on Saturday, August 13th at about 8pm. This was not only my first time at this location; however, my first time participating in Laser Tag..period. This spot was picked out by the birthday person in our group. We arrived and the first thing I have to say is that the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They were friendly and explained all of our options to us. Each of us purchased two games of Laser Tag. The laser tag room is in the back and from the front to the back is an arcade. Almost all of the arcade machines seemed to be in working order. There is also a snack bar in the front; however, we did not purchase anything from them. The place overall seemed very clean, organized and orderly. Now, what we came for! Lasertag! You are given a color ticket for reach game. When your color is called, you head back to the holding room. You are given the rules quickly and then you collect your vests and head inside the room to begin. My impression.....gosh, it is super fun. I had a great time. I wasn't really good; however, still had a blast. I think the price was around $10.00 per game. We got charged $8.00 per game; however, I think that was a group price. I would say the price was average to a bit better than average. I personally felt it was a good value. Now, I do wish that the game would be more like 15-20 minutes, rather than what seemed to be maybe 10-12 minutes. I think I would have felt more accomplished during a 15-20 minute game. However, that is my thought and didn't detract from the overall experience I had in general at this facility. I would certainly return. read more

First I have to say the lady who runs the place is absolutely wonderful to deal with. She is so nice to everyone and seems to learn all the kids' names right away. I came in with two boys ready to try lasertag for the first time, and she wasn't sure if they'd be ready for it. So she lets us "try before we buy" which means we got to go back to the staging area and see what it's like and make sure they'd be comfortable with the environment and the equipment. We determined that my youngest (almost 4 yrs) wasn't ready for the laser tag so we just played the several games that they have upfront. He had a blast with that, my oldest (9 yrs) lovedddd the laser tag and the games as well. So it was a great experience. Also, the staff was all really nice as well. I came into this place as a laser tag snob. Why? Well, here is a bit of history. In a previous life, I worked for the laser tag company that used to operate out of Camarillo and Glendora. And that place, to me, was awesome! (I'll admit, I am biased). And I laser tagged as much as I could so sufficed to say, I am a sub-par player compared to my comrades and apparently any kid hyped up on sugar. But years later brought about the end of an era, ownership changed, I moved on, and now the place I loved was no more and hasn't been around for years. But the memory of that place is still with me. So when I heard that this place had taken over, I was like--oh really? (Eyes narrowing) One night, completely bored out of our skulls, a group of my friends and I decided to check this "New" place out. After a 1.5 hour drive, we arrived. We walk through the doors and the place is immaculately clean. You could, if you so choose, to eat off the floor. And how many people greeted us merrily, you ask? Not one, not two, but three employees! Good gravy! That is awesome! Now the lobby had some video games that stopped my heart a bit as I remember where they originally came from so it was a bit surreal. The video games were all well maintained and clean. I did not see one "Out of Order" sign. Then the shift manager gave us a tour of the arena and the equipment. Now, the equipment is different than Zone or Tron, but just as good and lightweight. The phaser is easy to hold and the vest is able to be put on easily. Plus, they come in so many colors (I am a girl after all). The arena layout is nicely done with tons of nooks and crannies to hide in. My complaint is that the arena is plain. I was hoping for more color or graphic works because I felt like I was just in a plain, industrial building with walls. The other complaint is that the random "base targets" are hard to tell if you have hit the base. Also, need MOAR fog! It just makes it cooler. The arena music is typical so no complaints there, and the game play was fun. Once outside you can refresh your selves at the snack bar. The snack bar is a standard snack bar, nothing out of the ordinary there and there are TV monitors throughout the lobby to keep non-laser tag players (or as I call them people who hate fun) can sit. Prize counter is standard as well. Nothing way cool but nothing cheap (as in quality) either. I think kids will get a good value for their tickets. Last minute thoughts, we enjoyed our laser tag game immensely. I like that if you want a copy of your score you can obtain one. Most places these days just give you a stupid score board instead of some tangible item you can hang over your friend's and husband's head over for life. One word of caution. Now when we played out laser tag game there happened to be a couple of the "regulars" there. For us, this made the game immensely fun as the level of their skill and intensity is just how we like to play, but for those not familiar with laser tag, I can see how this is not so much fun. One group of girls were really upset about their experience and quickly left after their game was finished. So try to balance those regulars out on different teams so people do not feel like they will get demolished. If you really decorate the arena more and make it feel like you are being transported to another world, then you'll have the last piece in place. Though the staff is young, they are friendly and genuinely helpful. And quite honestly, like I tell my employees, if you whole-hardheartedly care about the guest's experience then handling situations will be a breeze. And I believe these employees whole-hardheartedly care which means they will do a fantastic job. P.S. Since I did not host an event here, I cannot comment on the parties. Sorry, guys. I'm actually gonna go ahead and review this place while I'm sitting here munching on my hot dog while my kids are are lasering the crap out of their eyes. Oh, don't you act like you've never been tempted (or tried) to immediately point the laser right in your friend's face once you've had that laser gun in your hand imagining that you could blind them with that piercing red light. Yup. I knew it. First of all be sure to LIKE Lazertag Facebook because they post really good deals every week. Today, I took advantage of the $1 hot dogs & sodas and the buy one mission get one mission for $1.. SCORE! On to the review. This place opened up about 5 weeks ago. It is extremely clean. The owners take very good care of everything and since it just opened it is very sparkly, shiny new. Once you walk in you notice the room in front of a good amount of arcade and ticket dispensing games. Perfect time killer for when the players are in between missions. There are two rooms to play in. One is the Lock Down Room which is where the player crawls/walks/jumps through a timed laser obstacle course and not set anything off. The other room is Lazer Tag room. I didn't go through either rooms myself but my kids came out extremely happy and amped like they just drank a six pack of Red Bull. "I wanna go again. AGAIN!" Then and there I knew this place was a hit. Every parents' mantra, if they are happy I am happy. Another good thing is they do serve food here. The reheated slices of pizza come a local pizzeria here which claims to be the best in Simi Valley. The slices looked yummy. Personally, we opted for the hot dogs (solid), nachos (smaller version of movie theater nachos but cheese was barely warm) and popcorn (not so great. Needed salt and the serving size was tiny so you'll need to buy a refill). Overall, I really like this place. The staff and owners were very nice and helpful. They just opened so it's not as crowded as it should be for a free day off from school but I know when we come here a few weeks from now it will be packed because one mom will tell another mom who will tell a dad and so on and so on. This place is definitely another good reason to trek out to the bubble world of Simi. read more

My daughter, my two grandchildren (11 & 7) and I went there this afternoon and had an extreme blast! We played lazertag twice, once with seven people on our team against a team of 4 hardcore tag enthusiasts. We lost miserably and our team did not care at all - it was SO much fun and that's what this place is all about! Our second game it was only the four of us so the children decided to battle against my daughter & I. We're like - okay - bring it on... and they did, and easily beat us!! Running up and down and all around the room, ducking and hiding behind walls and shooting at each other face-to-face is what memories are made of... and we made some extreme ones today! They had some awesome games in their arcade, including a bowling one right by the counter where you check in. Speaking of check in be sure to check in on Yelp to get a buy one, get one free! We hosted a birthday party for our 10 year old here. Ashley was our party partner for the day. She worked with us the week before the party to personalized the experience with little touches to really make it special. She kept things flowing very well, and made sure everyone was well entertained. Aside from the standard video games and laser tag missions, we had some fun little party games including a small scavenger hunt and a mummy wrapping contest. Everyone had a fantastic time. Absolute highway robbery! If I could give less than 1 star I would. My sons and their friends came out of the first session asking to leave because it was so disappointing. Unfortunately, I had already paid for the 2nd round. Each round barely lasts 15 minutes when all is said and done, was overall very costly in comparison and the players were herded through the room like cattle, not freely gaming and 2 of the boys had vests that didn't work. We celebrated with a birthday party here on a Thursday night this summer. We had a blast! I set up our birthday party on the Lazertag Extreme website. The process was a breeze, and the party coordinator called me to finalize details. On the day of our party, Bryce was our host. He was extremely helpful, professional, and accommodating. Most people in our party were running late because of traffic. Since it was a quieter evening, Bryce was able to push the start time of our party back. My kids had lots of fun playing arcade games while we waited for our guests. The laser tag itself was so fun! The arena is huge. We had a mix of kids and grown ups in our party, and everyone had an awesome time! During our time in the party room, Bryce constantly checked on us to make sure we were ok and that we had enough drinks, etc. For party food, the pizza, salad, fruit and cupcakes were surprisingly tasty. I won a group voucher at a fundraiser auction and had never been there before and I was not disappointed. First of all to donate such a great offer in itself is amazing, but the fun we had was even greater. The staff is great, their smiles and attitude is something you can't describe other than awesome. They were very professional along with being very fun. The kids had such a great time. The layout is better than other laser tag places I have been to in the past. The elevated 2nd floor area takes the game to a whole new level. The equipment is top notch they sense a hit from across the whole room. Great place to kill some time with the kiddos (and wear them out)! Between the Lazer Tag and the arcade, it's easy to spend a couple hours here. Plenty of parking. (Old grocery store parking lot.) Clean, well kept facility. Assorted food selections. (Ex: cheese pizza $18 + $2/topping. Cokes refillable. Candy, etc) The arcade no longer uses paper tickets (YAY!) but keeps track of your total on your player card. Much better than feeding those stupid tickets into the machine at the end of the day. I find the prices to be a bit on the high side (can easily run $50 per child per visit), but it's a fun place to visit from time to time. Happy it's a part of our local community. 4 stars! read more

Just brought my soccer team to play lazer tag. Staff was awesome, friendly, and super patient! Facility was super clean. Love that you can watch the kids playing on the monitor. My boyfriend and I went in to throw axes for the time. We got there early and the girls at the register were very sweet and helped us fill out the waivers. When it came time for our reservation, they showed us to the spot right on time. The lady who gave us very detailed instructions was very sweet, funny and had lots of great axe puns, unfortunately we did not catch her name but she was great. She showed us different techniques of how to throw the axe along with the history of how axe throwing came to be. Everyone here who we came into contact with were all very helpful and kind. My family took my nephew and some of his friends here for his birthday and both the kids and adults had a great time! The staff there was super friendly and helpful, and very patient and fun when explaining the rules to the kids. The lazertag arena was a decent size and there were lots of walls, windows, and mazes to hide behind and in. It's dark and there is some fog and laser lights that go off and it's somewhat loud with music playing in there. I'm honestly not sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults in our party. After a few games we bought some game cards for the kids to run around and play some of the arcade games they have there. It's not a huge place at all, but definitely fun for younger kids. They also serve food and alcohol here. My nephew can't wait to go back because his friends had so much fun. It was a lot of fun and not super expensive either. There are package deals you can do if you have a party or a bundle of kids that want to go. read more

Avoid Saturday unless you are attending a party. I've attended many parties here and had playdates for my kid over the years. Place is great and employees are well trained and friendly. However very short staffed especially on Saturday. Also I was surprised to see a semi inebriated man walking around with a beer bottle trying to make conversation with the kids! My friend just had a birthday party here at Lazertag Extreme.... He just turned 24 haha. Regardless of age, we had a great time. They have a late night deal for as many games as you want from 9pm-12. It was like $25 dollars which is a great deal. The arena area is two stories and has objectives included into they non stop thrill of shooting your friends and strangers. They have a good arcade and pricing isn't costly at all. they even had a food station. This place is just what Simi Valley needs! I've been here several times, both with youth groups and my daughter and her friends. Their arcade games are all top notch, not the crusty old dinosaurs you see at other places. They've got a good menu with pizza, chicken strips, corn dogs, hot dogs, and free refills on soda. Plenty of seating for adults to recover from laser tag while the kids go crazy. The laser tag arena is pretty cool. It's tri-level, and I would say it is more of a CQB arena (close quarters battle) than a wide open area. They have TONS of vests so everyone gets to play. Instructions are clear and simple. Overall, it's VERY fun. Scores are all tracked so kids can see how they did. Ok.... I check my scores too. The staff is all very friendly and professional.
