I had not been here in about two years and I was highly disappointed and will not be returning again due to the the level of service was completely pitiful. I went for a manicure and pedicure and the whole time I was there I was not offered anything to drink. The manicure was nothing more than a nails trim, shaping and French polish applied. I was not asked which manicure I wanted. I did not receive an arm massage or scrub or hot towels. The pedicure was poor, the tech did a one handed sugar scrub, no leg massage and was one of the quickest pedicures I've ever had. This place has lost all sense of quality. read more

Love this salon. Lots of pedi chairs, always responsive, without even asking they bring you water. Had a falling out with my "other" salon. Wasn't feeling well and had my husband drop me off without an appointment. Sat there for 40 minutes and despite my being a regular nobody even spoke to me. After 4 people left and techs sent to back room (lunch?) I got mad (yes . Calm as I am I can get mad) and called him to come and get me. Had read glowing reviews so asked him to bring me here. When I walked in and they said they were short handed and it would be 20 minutes I was glad to know i wasn't invisible. Approximately a month ago I called to make an appointment with Andy. I was told by the person on the other end of the line that Andy retired. I was so disappointed. He was the only tech I'd go to. There were a few times I had to take another tech and was always not near as happy as I was with Andy. One even tried to tell me what she thought I should have done. When changing purses I found a card with Andy's cell phone number. ANDY IS NOT RETIRED!!!!!! He went to another salon. If you check my other reviews, you will see where he went. I decided on Lazio Nails today after noting their high ratings. I haven't had my nails done in a nail shop for decades. I went in today with long heathy natural nails, my summer usual, to find out if I could get them overlaid with something to keep them from breaking off as the humidity drops for winter. I've never had this done before and came in clueless, with lots of questions about the different ways to accomplish my goal and what maintenance is involved with each option. Now usually if I am going to treat myself to a beauty service like this (massage, spa treatment) I'll go to the nicest establishment I can afford because I realize I am a client with high expectations of customer service and product, and I thoroughly believe we get what we pay for, and expect no less--especially because I carefully choose wherever I go after much research! Usually I nail it! This day however, was no such victory despite admittedly leaving with better nails than I walked in with. Today I spent $63.00 on a "SNS French Manicure" with a technician who wasn't even going to involve me in the selection of my own color and was visibly very put off when I asked if I could be. Her response: "This is the shade most people want." Seriously? Can you imagine if hair salons operated like this? You go to a salon, sit down without a hello, and someone just starts coloring your hair "whatever shade is popular" without asking what you like? Why is this acceptable? She actually huffed when I couldn't name what *specific shade* of pink I wanted (so she didn't have to show me the jars)--this after telling her I'd never had a dip manicure before. When she brought out the jars she didn't want to open them so I could see the color. I should've realized I was going to leave unhappy at this point, and politely left. Stupid girl when will I ever learn?! Sigh. She literally couldn't have cared any less if I was comfortable. No attempt at polite conversation. She had no concern that I was happy, thirsty (other techs offered their clients bottled water) or liking her work. The tech next to us asked her customer what she thought, if she liked it as they shaped, color dipped, etc. My tech explained *nothing* as she worked taking an otherwise fascinating process and tainting it with obvious desire to be somewhere else. I had to ask her if my manicure included trimming cuticles, as she had skipped it. She messed up the finishing steps necessitating over 30 minutes of correction, then when one didn't set right tried to blame me for it, insisting I must have touched it. Um, nope. Still as a mannequin in that dryer! It was the fuzz from the paper towel she used to wipe off her finishing mistake that marred the finish. If she had ever used her station light while working she may have caught her silly mistake. Oops. I took the opportunity to look at my nails and observed one hand where the white tips looked nice, clean lines, while the other looked more like a practice hand, blurry uneven borders between the pink and white. I also noticed how thick they were! Way thicker than the acrylic sets I remember from high school. Not natural looking. From far away they look nice, but up close they look like a DIY job. I didn't want to tip even $1.00 (she had done nothing to actually deserve it beyond living in the USA where we tip by default) but THIS was the part of my visit she cared very much about, hovering over the register like a vulture waiting for me to pay, practically holding out her hand and tapping her foot as I got my change! Unbelievable. It was at this point the manager (I presume) noticed her "artistry" and offered to fix it but I was out of time. I politely declined. Final Thoughts: In the end my happiness is my own responsibility. I should've left immediately after sitting down with her and noting her unpleasant disposition. I *chose* to stay and proceed, so it's on me. We all have choices as consumers. Let's just say I had a pushover moment so you don't have to! LOL. Please remember we vote with our feet! read more

Don't EVER wax your brows here. They do not have a waxing room so the lady waxed my brows on the pedicure chair. After waxing, I asked her to trim my brows (like every normal brow place would) but she didn't know what she was doing and over trimmed it. Went home with one brow thinner than the other. Worst waxing experience i've ever had. So if you appreciate your brows, please don't ever come here. Maybe nails but NEVER brows. read more

This is THE WORST NAIL SALON EVER!! They took advantage of a young person coming in by herself. The result was sloppy and uneven nails. When called to speak to the manager, she was rude and insistent I come to the salon - right before they close. Called back to get the owners name and number and treated VERY rudely by Emma. She hung up on me and was very rude. The result of the nails were sloppy, uneven, and a horrible hurried hand painted design on the nails. They charged her $24 extra than the website said and TRIED to charge her $30 more than the website said. They charge extra for "long nails." It is their definition of "long nails." It does not say one word about the extra cost on their website. It also said $4 for nail repair, they charged her $10. This place is unethical and rude. I will be reporting them for fraud to the BBB. I would give ZERO stars if I could!! Manager was insisting I come to the salon to speak with her, 10 mins before they closed! It takes us 20-25 mins to get there. Disgusting management practices and even more disgusting employees are encouraged to talk to people this way and hang up on them. read more

I paid $108 for a pedi with gel polish ($55) and a Mani with dip ($53). The pedicure was fine but the manicure did not meet expectations. The pedicure began with the feet in the tub in the massage chair, a hot towel and finally with esthetician paintingnans setting my toes did with gel polish. The gel drying UV light battery died so we moved to the nail station where my toes were dried under UV light while the esthetician began working on my nails. Although I was charged for, and paid for, a classic manicure there was absolutely no pampering or maintenance of the hands, the esthetician just began doing the dip on process. The esthetician did not try to clean up cuticles or anything, and 48 hours after having my nails done it really shows. I'm disappointed that I was charged for the manicure process but did not receive a true manicure treatment. In addition to this major failure, the esthetician also kept trying to shape my nails to make them round after I repeatedly told her I wanted them square, she got halfway through my first hand before she stopped rounding off my nails even though I kept telling her not to do so. I'm generally disappointed with the shape of my nails, the large bubbles that resulted in some of my nails from.the dip, how uneven (lack of smoothness) of my nails, the lint and glitter of various colors in my nails from the dip, how short my nails are, and how my cuticles look considering I paid $130 after tax and tip. That is way too much money to spend to not actually get what you want. I will not be returning but the service was very nice the 'complimentary' waters were nice and the estheticians and store managers were very kind. Great environment, and great staff, I am just really unhappy with the way my nails turned out. read more

I enjoy getting a manicure about once a year. Since I don't get them on a regular basis, I don't have a place that I usually go to. I was in my hometown of Kettering, Ohio and I decided that I was going to get my nails done for April, autism awareness month. I immediately got on Yelp and started searching for nail salons in the area and I found Lazio had the best reviews. I also noticed that Lazio didn't have that many reviews so I assumed it was new to the area. An important thing to note, is the area that it's in is a very up-and-coming area in Centerville. I trusted the reviews and I trusted my instincts so I called and made an appointment. The person on the other line was super friendly and scheduled me for that evening. When I got there, it was really clean and it smelled good. It wasn't overly crowded and the atmosphere was really positive and peaceful; it had good vibes. The nail technician greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and had me sign-in and got started. I was happy I didn't have to wait like I have had to in the past. The technician was super nice and very personable. She was really interesting to talk to; it wasn't just that boring small talk, she made you feel like you knew her. I honestly dread that part of manicures because I usually have awkward silences the whole time or I feel fairly uncomfortable that a stranger is touching me so intimately without hardly any emotion behind it.... It was not like that at Lazio. The whole experience was great and my manicure was reasonably priced. My friend and I were wanting pedis at the end of a long week and decided to go to Lazio nails. I typically go to another salon about 10 minutes away but my mom insisted that this was the best salon around- she was right! I have never been to a nail salon with so many smiling faces; every worker there was helpful and kind. I had called a little ahead of time in case there was a long wait, and when my friend and I arrived at the door, there was someone waiting to greet us personally (they remembered our names and what we had come for). Even though we arrived arrived little early, they accommodated us right away. Customer service was amazing, they have a lot of regulars from what I could tell, and the workers made an effort to remember everyone's name including ours even though we had never been before. I was a walk in for a fill in, color change and one nail replacement and only had to wait about 5 minutes. They gave me a water right when I sat down while I waited which was awesome. The gentleman who did my nails was fantastic, he took his time making sure each nail was even, esp the replacement one which was barely hanging on when I got there. My real nail was torn underneath so pain was pretty much inevitable but he tried his best to not make removing it hurt. I appreciate the time he put into making the experience great and this place so far has been the only one I've been to that gets the nail shape the way I want it, make sure the length is even and doesn't cut my cuticles up. read more
