    Bacon, eggs, hash browns

In town with my father and son, we found this place by chance. I'm glad we did as the food was good and the service was top notch. They serve breakfast all day, which is worth a star in and of itself. My father and son both ordered eggs, biscuits & gravy, hash browns, and bacon. I ordered the Big Dusty burger. Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive. It's a good small town diner. I recommend you give it a try.

    The ketchup.

I stopped at Lazy C's grill because it was lunch time and the reviews. The location of this restaurant is not on the actual main Hwy; which is Hwy 60 but it is not far from there. The service was excellent; our waitress was friendly and courteous. She refilled our beverages when asked. The food menu listed a variety of ways to order a hamburger; one way was Doritos on it. I had the Swiss and mushroom and it was delicious! In general it is a local town home kind of place. Enjoy!

Bacon cheeseburger with pepper Jack cheese and fried okra.

We stopped in at Lazy C's while meandering through Missouri on a road trip. The food was really good. The burger was huge. Friendly service.

Absolutely delicious burgers, great service, and nice decor!

The smoking section made the place uncomfortable and the food was mediocre. The fries were good and the staff was friendly.

We were warmly welcomed by a hostess this morning who explained how all of the meats and veggies…read moreand the eggs are all produced by their local farm that is 15 miles from here and the bread is all homemade here too. And the coffee is also roasted locally. So yeah, this was a pretty neat stop in very rural Missouri as we're headed across on US-60 from the one side to the next. After seated, we took a look at the menu. Options for both of us were easy. Mrs. K. is a connoisseur of French Toast. As she doesn't eat meat, this is her usual "go to" for breakfast so that was her easy choice at The Ranch House this morning. Me, I'm on keto so I was able to have their three-egg omelet with all the veggies plus added steak sausage. Coffee arrived first and it was excellent. Just a simple drop, it was rich and hot and perfection. A little bit later, breakfast arrived. I very much enjoyed the omelet as it was tasty. I could really taste the eggs in here today. Yum! Mrs. K. said "This is the best French Toast that I have ever had" and that's really saying something as she's enjoyed dozens if not a couple hundred portions across my Yelp career. Wow. Breakfast was around $40 with tip. And afterward, we wandered around the small town of Van Buren for a bit. A truly lovely stop. [Review 669 of 2026 - 523 in Missouri - 25850 overall]

Not many choices for breakfast in Van Buren but this is a good choice. Hostess was very friendly…read moreand seated our group quickly. Service was good but a little slow. Beef bacon was a little disappointing (way overcooked) and the biscuits and gravy didn't seem particularly 'homemade.' The coffee however was GREAT! There was also a gift shop so it made it a nice decor. Overall a pretty good experience.

We ordered the special (smothered pork chops), because usually service is quicker if you order the special. They were out of the majority of their meager side selection , and twenty minutes after placing our order the server came and informed us that they are out of the smothered pork chops. Fast forward twenty minutes later... still no food and none of the customers who came in before us have food yet either. I just watched a customer go in the kitchen to get a coffee pot to give herself a refill. Service here sucks. At this point I don't care if the food is amazing when it arrives, because the long wait and crappy service is not worth it. ETA : customer who was here before us got tired of waiting and got up and left before their food arrived. ETA 2 : another table just got up and walked out because they got tired of waiting. ETA 3: Definitely not worth the wait or the price. Waited an hour and ten minutes for a dry as the desert burger, a micro side of mashed potatoes with thin watery gravy, and a side of canned corn ($11.50); and overcooked chicken livers that tasted like they've never changed their fryer grease, a tiny baked potato with fake butter and burnt bacon, and a side of woody broccoli stems ($11). Didn't get a single drink refill.

When you're from a larger place and accustomed to COVID mandates everywhere it's surprising to visit out-state places and find situations similar to pre-COVID conditions. At True 'Brew dining room tables were spread out but that was it for virus precautions. No plexiglass shields at the register. No employee masks or gloves except for the sandwich maker. No soap out. No social distancing signs. My turkey club sandwich was built on wonderful tasting flatbread. It would have been an exceptional sandwich if not for the excessive mayonnaise. Mayo dominated the sandwich. The one napkin I received was insufficient to contain mayo squirting off every edge of the flatbread. Salad, chips, and pickle came with, making the $6.50 price a real value. True 'Brew has plenty of coffee, tea, smoothie, and milkshake options but no colas or bottled water. (Insert sad face here.)
