    Vegan biscuits and gravy

Food quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Can't say enough good things about this place. Owned by genuine folks and the food quality always hits. We didn't get there early enough before the baked french toast sold out. We got our food to go and it was delicious! I got the vegan biscuits and gravy while my husband got the regular biscuits and gravy. We shared the lemon pancakes and devoured them with the creamy caramel syrup.

The staff was friendly, and the service was really fast. The location is really cute, too. I got the eggs Benedict, and it was delicious. I wish the hash browns were crispier, but that's a personal preference.

Came to get some breakfast at this place, and it was really good! The gravy was good, but I think next time I will get the Lazy Deluxe vs the biscuits and gravy. The Laxy Deluxe comes with chicken, which was very fresh but just a little bit salty, but still it was really good and moist. The pancakes were also really good with coffee.

We had the absolute pleasure of enjoying a family breakfast at Lazy Day Café in Salt Lake City this morning--and wow, what a gem! It was our first time visiting this charming little spot, and the moment we saw every table full, we knew we were in for something special. We were warmly greeted by Shayla, whose bright smile and friendly hello immediately made us feel welcome. She took our name and let us know the wait would be about 15 minutes. Once our table was ready, Jenny greeted us with the same warmth and hospitality, got us settled in, and took our drink orders with a cheerful attitude. The entire experience felt like having breakfast in a cozy, familiar kitchen. We ordered the Lazy Day Breakfast, Lemon Pancakes, the Deluxe Lazy Day Breakfast, and the Chicken Fried Steak--each dish came out quickly, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. Every bite was better than the last! The staff was attentive, personable, and clearly had their system down to a science. Our drinks stayed full, the café was spotless, and the overall vibe was relaxed and inviting. Lazy Day Café completely won us over--we'll definitely be back for more!

Best Breakfast in Utah. But they don't do omelets. Everything else is amazing! And the service is top notch too. Inside seating is very limited. Best, in house, sausages I've ever had. 5/5 Blueberry waffles, amazing. 5/5 French Toast, more of a bread pudding but awesome. Only on weekends. 5/5 Hash browns are great 4/5. Caramel syrup is the best ever, order extra. 5/5 Worth the drive.

It's been years since our last bad experience and we thought it was time to give Lazy Day Cafe another shot. This time we got a timer and they said it would be about a 30 minute wait. The wait was indeed about 30 minutes. The restaurant is really small, there are very few tables so I think it's important to just expect a wait here. I tried the shrimp and grits this time and they were really good. Good enough to make me not even care about the service if it were bad, which was not the case this time. Our server was great. The pancakes here are very good as well, better than most places around.

This is a cafe in the cut of a strip mall. It almost reminds me of an old school diner. It has a cute little bar area. I ordered the vegan chicken and waffles. The crust on the "chicken" was seasoned pretty well to be tofu. I also ordered a side biscuit with gravy. This was pretty good but maybe a little too salty or over seasoned for me. Everyone enjoyed their meals but omg their portions were so large they definitely had a lot to take home. The service was awesome. She checked back frequently and made sure we had everything requested promptly.

I've tried to come here a couple times now, and they always have a wait! That's always a good sign :) What a hidden gem tucked away in a strip mall in Millcreek. We got here later into the typical brunch time, around 1/1:15 on a weekday and were able to be seated right away. There is a very limited number of tables inside and some bar seating. I was really excited to see they had quite a few vegan options! Biscuits & gravy, vegan benedict, and even a "chicken" and waffles option. They were unfortunately out of biscuits so I couldn't get the biscuits & gravy (I will next time though!) so I ordered the vegan benedict, which comes with a side of potatoes. The vegan benedict was great, it was a tofu scramble with a house made cashew hollandaise sauce and avocado on an english muffin. The potatoes were cold when they arrived, and a little chewy. The benedict itself was delicious and I would order it again. I loved the sauce! A quirky little cafe that's worth the wait. I'm excited to try their pancakes and biscuits & gravy next time I'm there.

I am really happy I came to this restaurant. The wait for me wasn't lounge at all but I came on a Monday morning. I had the vegan biscuits and gravy. They were super peppery with lots and lots of flavor. I really enjoy it. I couldn't eat all of it- be mindful the portions are pretty big. I would come back for the gravy. I really appreciate the vegan options that don't just mean veggies. Parking on site. Everyone was super sweet.

We were in Salt Lake city for Christmas week and came back to this place after 7 long years. We didn't remember there were any lines back in 2016 so there was a 45min to 1 hr wait one of the mornings ahahha. We tried again on our last day and sneaked in bit earlier and was able to get a table after 30min - we sat by the bar which had faster turn out than a table ;) We had chicken waffle, single waffle, lemon pancakes and eggs Benny. I would totally come back for the pancake and waffles tho this time I didn't try the biscuits and gravy like I did years ago. Everything was delicious and would love to be back again. A tip for travelers. If u come early 9am ish they hardly have a waiting line which starts to build up. After 10:30am it gets really packed so expected to wait 45min to 1 hr...it starts to die down after 11:30am but yea best bet is come early as they open to avoid lines :)

Ugh. Food is alright but many times inconsistent with take out orders. Multiple times we've paid for something we didn't receive. Presentation is unappealing and the staff seems bothered by their customers.

    Breakfast burrito Chile Verde
    Art T.

The chile verde breakfast burrito is one the best ones I've ever had. It's huge with just the right amount of spicy. The lemon pancake, biscuits and gravy, open face breakfast was really good. Did not like the Salmon Benedict as much because I didn't like the muffin or smoked salmon as much but it was ok.

It's wonderful to have numerous vegan brunch options. Texture, spices, options, service, all 5 star! However, despite all wishes to the contrary you can't leave here with your blood pressure intact. Between the biscuits, gravy, scrambled tofu, and potatoes only the biscuits I could finish due to the overabundance of a little compound known as NaCl. This salt goes to ELEVEN. I keep coming back thinking things will change but continue to leave with my heart brined. Please let us know when you slash your salt budget. :)

A chai tea that has everything you need. I'm a big believer in breakfast being savory and sweet. There are good options for both here.

Well, I must have loved it since I went twice!! First day tried the BLT as well as a chocolate croissant which is to seriously die for, it is a must. Kiaya (lord I hope that is right) was my server and she was excellent. I had a Pellegrino Blood Orange soda along with my lunch and loved the salad dressing as well! The sandwich was with 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoes, yum yum. The second time, I had Connor (he will remember Sheldon) who served me. He was awesome. I tried out a blueberry mimosa, an iced mocha and a water (I had been walking a lot and was tired and thirsty, don't judge). Then I just wanted that dang BLT again! I also ordered another almond chocolate croissant (I know, I know, should have tried something else). Well I did get a cookie too! My lunch was taking a little long, so they also brought out a couple of pastry items to try as well, so yum yum! The Chocolate Macaroon was also so wonderful and I cannot say enough about this quaint spot. It did fill up during lunch on the Thursday, so get there early or late! PROS: Main street, easy access from transportation/offices Great selection of homemade pastries Nice choices for drinks (obviously, I tried a few) Super quaint bistro style inside Outside seating under shade and a tree Attentive and exceptional employees (CONNOR) CONS: Parking may be an issue, although some on-street parking available DON'T THINK, JUST GO! Lots of choices.

Like many people, we were excited to dine at a restaurant led by a chef who has beaten Bobby Flay. We arrived for our 8:15 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, from that point on, the service became increasingly confusing. Our server seemed flustered from the beginning and even commented that she wanted to make sure everything was right for our experience. When ordering drinks, I asked for a root beer and was told they had one. A few minutes later I was informed they actually didn't and was given a Dr Pepper instead. No big deal--I didn't want to make an issue of it. The bigger problems started with the food service. There were three of us. Two ordered the filet, and one ordered the chicken. The first entrées brought to our table weren't ours at all and had to be taken away. When our actual meals arrived, they were still mixed up. I was served the chicken despite ordering the filet. The same thing happened with dessert. We ordered two Baked Alaskas and one Lemon Cake. Again, the desserts were delivered to the wrong people. These weren't major issues individually, but when they happen repeatedly throughout one meal, it takes away from what should have been an outstanding dining experience. Now for the positive... The kitchen absolutely delivered. The filet was cooked perfectly. The chicken was outstanding. Presentation was beautiful. The Baked Alaska was one of the best I've had. The food easily earns five stars. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience did not. To make matters worse, after I finished the Dr Pepper that I hadn't originally ordered, my glass sat empty for roughly 45 minutes. No refill was offered, and I eventually had to ask for another beverage while dessert was being served. One final observation... The receipt included an optional surcharge for the back-of-house staff. I understand it could be removed upon request, but I don't believe guests should be placed in the position of deciding how restaurant employees are compensated. Pay your team well, price the menu accordingly, and let guests simply enjoy their meal. Urban Hill has one of the most talented kitchens I've experienced in quite some time. If the service can reach the same level as the food, this restaurant would easily deserve five stars.

Everyone is so friendly and the service is quick. I remark every single time about how quick they are to serve us our food. They have remembered my family and bring us our drinks without even needing to ask. Their food is delicious, and we appreciate the authenticity. If you haven't been, and aren't near by to partake in their amazing food regularly, you HAVE to try the Philly asada omelet. You won't regret it!! I saw a comment about the restaurant being dark, but the lighting seems great. Anything much brighter would probably upset my eyes, especially early in the morning (as that's when we typically go). Someone also mentioned the wait is long. The restaurant isn't huge, and if you go at a time when everyone else is also going, usually any time after 9, then of course it'll be busy. Go early and it'll be faster, but either way, the wait is completely worth it. Thank you, to the Our Kitchen Cafe family for being so kind to me and my family.
