You just have to go! It's not fancy and they don't serve food but it's a great time! Mark makes some kicking cocktails and is always trying new things. Tracy is the best server ever! Where else are you going that has 40-50 cocktails on the menu all the time! And all made with liquors distilled right there. Good quality products make for great cocktails. Their menu changes up frequently, and even if your future favorite drink isn't on there that night, just ask and they usually will take care of you. Just GO! OMG! When in town, come here! This place is amazing. The drinks are original, flavorful, and pack a punch. The owners are friendly and welcoming and provide great service. The location is great, tables set up out front to enjoy the scenery and it almost fills like you're at home sitting on your porch. I absolutely love this place. It is a true gem. I visited Lazy Guy Distillery with a friend last night and really enjoyed it. It's all outdoor seating, and they come to you to take your order. It has a really laid back vibe that is perfect for hanging out on a nice day. They do have some covered seating for rain, and the rest of their seating is well shaded. They also have industrial fans, which made a hot day much more enjoyable! They have a huge menu, and we had the blackberry gin drink, which was delicious. The service was great, as well! Stopped by today on the whim, and I'm glad I did! Lazy guy does free whiskey tastings, and they don't limit how many you can sample. Everyone there was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They answered all our questions and even suggested drinks and which whiskey to sample based on our drinking preferences. As someone who has never had whiskey, I really enjoyed my experience today and liked the one they suggested I try that I even bought a bottle of it. You can do just samples, buy cocktails, or buy their bottles to go. They have a separate room that you can sit and drink while watching tv, the main bar area where you can chat with them while sampling, and the back area where you can go on the tour and learn about their operations. We even got to sample the current peach whiskey that they're working on. I feel as though this is a hidden gem of Kennesaw and definitely a must visit. I will certainly be back with more friends. read more

We found this place about 45 minutes before it closed but it was booming with fun and the staff was just as excited to see us as if they had just opened up! This is a MUST see place! Distillery in a neighborhood?! Mind blown. Even better? The spirits are yummy! The space is a little tight but there are two rooms with bars and the front porch is perfect to sip and slow down. I enjoyed a whiskey with ginger beer and lime, this may become my new summer bevie! Husband had a rum and coke and was pleased with the punch of his drink! Whether you're an avid whiskey drinker or just like to try out cool new places, definitely check out the Lazy Guy Distillery! Located in historic Kennesaw, the property dates back to the 1800s which provides some interesting history. A group of girls and I went last Saturday and really enjoyed the tour of the distillery area. Our tour guy was very knowledgeable and kept us laughing. We learned a great about amount distilling whisky as well as other types of liquor too. Afterwards, we visited their bar area and ordered a variety of unique, delicious whiskey drinks. They also offer gin if that is your drink of choice. One of my favorite drinks was the snow cream flight - the snow cream is made with specialty whiskey and dairy. For the flight, you can select different syrups to add for a festive drink - I tried the gingerbread, peppermint and salted caramel. I liked all of them but I think salted caramel was my favorite! The bar area is slightly small so we took our drinks out to the front porch since it was a nice day. There are a few tables and chairs so it comfortably fit the six of us. Fun place and great opportunity to learn about distilling during the Saturday tours. The owner gives a great class.

Lazy Guy does not yet have standard tour times but they do periodically host open house tours/tastings, one of which I was fortunate enough to attend last Saturday. The owner was very nice and informative, and we were able to taste several of their current products. They have a variety of whiskeys with some very intriguing flavors that I can't wait to test-drive in a full cocktail. The Side Track Bourbon was my personal favorite, and they also have a 151-proof corn whiskey if you're feeling adventurous. I also loved the ambiance of their tasting room with the beautiful copper-topped, old-timey bar that you can belly right on up to. Sadly, the distillery isn't able to sell to you directly (because Georgia liquor laws suck) but they are happy to steer you to the restaurants and stores that currently carry their products. Mark and his staff are incredible. This is by far one of my favorite spots in Kennesaw. Take the tour when you get the chance it's very educational and sometimes even hands on. Mark knows whiskey but he's willing to try out many other things and his creativity has bred some amazing spinoffs of his flagship spirits. read more

My brother and I visited the distillery on a warm August Saturday. It truly is a small operation consisting of a house that serves as the tasting room and gift shop with the still in a barn out back but don't let that fool you--the owner (Mark) knows his stuff. We started where the tour usually ends (the tasting room), but Mark was kind enough to let us jump in and with a couple who had just finished the tour. My brother and I both liked the sample of The General (sadly they had just run out of their Sidetrack Bourbon). I tried the Kennesaw Lightning as well and it was very good. We learned on the tour that the whiskeys are made from corn grown and ground right here in Georgia. Mark walked us through the process of making the whiskey and all of the equipment used in the process. My brother and I asked him several questions and he kindly answered each in detail. I can say that I am very excited to see someone produce whiskey this close to home and wish him the best of luck. Lazy Guy Distillery has regular tour hours every Saturday from 12p-6p and they occasionally host special tours. Tours are free with sampling (tips are appreciated) and you can buy some liquor to take home as well. Parking wasn't a problem when we went, but it could get tight with a large group (think 15+). If you are on the fence about visiting one of the few (legal) distilleries in Georgia--just do it. read more

Just went on a tour of this beautiful distillery. If you want an education on your bourbons and ryes, come check this place out. Beautiful historic home and barn converted to what you will see today. I love how they managed to keep so many original features. Our tour guide, Mark, was friendly and answered all of our questions. Honestly, I'm not a whiskey/bourbon drinker, but I really enjoyed these. You'd be greatly mistaken if you don't give Lazy Guy's Distillery a try. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Been on many distillery tours in KY and TN, but this quant gem in the heart of Kennesaw takes the cake.
