My mom and I had a great experience wedding dress shopping at Luxe Bridal Rack and found my dream dress here! We worked with Maria, the owner, and can't say enough great things about her. She hypes you up when a dress looks good but isn't pushy at all. We felt totally supported while we made our decision and she did not sway us one way or the other. This was the 2nd bridal store I tried on dresses at and after going to 5 more, I couldn't stop thinking about the first one I tried on here. I ended up coming back, trying it on again, and knew it was my dress. Maria takes such pride in all of her gowns. They are in pristine condition, unlike some other bridal shops in the area, and you are able to purchase your gown off the rack if it fits, which is what we ended up doing. I made an appointment at LBR Bridal on January 23, 2021 for April 15,2021. While making the online appointment, I was asked for my dress size, budget and wedding date. Upon arriving at LBR Bridal, I was not in the door for more than 60 seconds before I was told that there were only 4 dresses in the entire store that would be within my budget. Then, because my wedding is in September 2021, I was told any dress would require a rush order fee. The icing on the cake was when I opted to try on five dresses (because my budget was actually quite flexible), none of them would go over my bust or hips. I am a size 12. The person assisting me apologized stating that they cannot control what sample sizes the designers send. However, what LBR Bridal can control is ensuring they review the information that they collected to ensure that people don't waste their time if the store cannot cater to women with a D bust and a reasonable budget. A simple phone call letting me know that the dresses would be limited and that perhaps I should come in sooner than 3 months from the appointment scheduled would have been much appreciated. It was a seriously disappointing afternoon and a blow to my confidence. read more

This was the second boutique I went to try on dresses and the first time bringing my fiance's family members along for the process. I lost my mother a month before I met my fiance and this is an emotional decision for me. The shop is very well kept and clean, with a well organized system. My salesperson had a robotic way about her pitches. She kept telling me everything looked great, with every dress, and saying a bunch of things could be altered which did not make me feel this experience was pure. I was able to try on 7 dresses and had a very hard time deciding between two. There was no overwhelming emotion from me about either, both just looked nice on. I ended up with an off the rack dress. Thinking I made a great purchase, I looked at my gown the following morning. I began crying and not in a positive way. The dress was not the color or length I went in looking for. Secondly, the dress had multiple tears in the middle of the back mesh which I am uncertain on how they would repair without seeing stitches. I do not have a problem with final sale dresses or off the rack but I feel as though I was pushed. I am hoping to sell the dress even though I know I will be losing money. read more

I made my appointment, and they sent a follow up email questionnaire around my style and what I was looking for, as well as details about the big day. When I went to my appointment, to my surprise, my mom, sisters, and I had the whole place to ourselves! Maria and Jane were attentive but never pushy. They're extremely knowledgeable around the fabrics, designers, and alteration process. Although they don't provide alterations onsite, they're able to make recommendations. Please beware of buying a dress from this boutique. This was the most stressful part of my wedding planning process. My dress arrived just shy of two weeks before my wedding. There was no solid communication from the owner or the designer. Imagine two weeks before your wedding - you have no dress and no clear indication of when it will be arriving just a "it'll be there before the day of your wedding." (like that is helpful?) It's a nightmare for any bride. My dress was promised by the owner, Maria, to arrive in December. It finally came two months later. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. Not worth your time and will cause you a ton of stress in the long run! Also, Calla Blanche has terrible customer service - so I'd steer clear of that as well. Best of luck!! read more

I had a great experience with Luxe Bridal Rack! They have the cutest little shop in Logan Square that I found due to them hosting a Pronovias trunk show. They were great to work with throughout the whole process! They have a seamstress on site which seems super rare for boutique shops in the area (at least others I had shopped at) so that was an added bonus! Alterations were reasonably priced and I loved that I didn't have to add finding a seamstress to my to-do list! They even included a cute little emergency kit with my gown when I picked it up and made sure it was pressed perfectly and clipped up - there were literally no wrinkles when I opened up the bag! When my sister and I were determining a schedule for our dress shopping weekend, she found LBR after hearing several recommendations from friends about this place. Immediately after walking in and chatting about the layout of the store, I pointed out a dress that I wanted to try on. When I walked out of the fitting room in that dress, I refused to take it off but Maria and her team were so patient with me! I set up an appointment for my sister to come to look for dresses at Luxe Bridal Rack -- this appt was the last appointment of 7 that were crammed into a 2 day span b/c my sister was visiting from out of town we had to get them all in quickly ( i say that to say we had been to a lot of stores by the time we visited Luxe so we knew the process that's involved when going to the bridal stores). We arrived a little early for our appointment and just browsed around as this is a fairly small store and they were finishing up 2 other brides. We were really excited b/c a lot of the dresses there were in the style that my sister desired so walking in the door we were excited about the prospects of finding THE DRESS - there was another group there waiting as well and we were told that they took 2 groups at a time we were totally fine with that but the other group seemed upset that we were selecting dresses to try on that they wanted to try on and we overheard them tell their stylist that they wanted to try on a dress that we selected and instead of telling them that they could try on the dress after my sister they pulled the dress out of my sisters room for the other bride to try on. That was warning sign one for us that the trip was going to be disappointing b/c if we selected the dress first then my sister should of been able to try the dress on and THEN the other bride not the other way around...my sister had roughly 8 - 10 gowns that we had selected for her to try on but after trying on 2 dresses she let us know that would be it b/c the other dresses weren't her size and she wasn't even permitted to try them on. My sister is a size 10 and from ALL of the other shops we went to that day they mentioned the average "sample size" dress is a 6 to a 8 so the average woman would not be able to fit the samples in a wedding dress store but at EVERY other store that we went to my sister was able to at least try the dress on so she can get an idea if she liked it or not -- at other dress stores if it was too small they may just put a panel of fabric in the back or clamp it so it can give you the idea of how the dress would look altered to your shape and size. To not even let her try the dresses on makes it seem that Luxe Bridal only caters to women of a certain size and if you don't fit that mold you aren't welcomed at this boutique...then to top it all off of the two dresses she did try on the stylist kept asking so do you like this dress over the other dresses you saw today (she literally asked us that like 10 times at least) when my sister was honest and said she was leaning towards another dress at another store she seemed to shut down and we could tell that our appt was over -- we were there about 20 minutes of our appt time and would never go back. in the bridal industry you should make your brides feel welcomed, and beautiful but at this store we did not get that experience read more

I am obsessed with Luxe Bridal Rack. It was my first time trying on dresses, and Antonila from the Chicago location made me feel immediately taken care of. I found a dress I loved right away but didn't feel like I could purchase anything without my mom and future mother-in-law there for the experience. I told Antonila I was in from Michigan since my sister lives in Chicago, and she reminded me there was a Luxe Bridal Rack in Michigan too! She offered to bring the dress I loved to Michigan for when my mom was in town from Florida so that my mom could be there to see it on me. When I got to the Michigan location this past weekend, Antonila and Maria were both there with the dress I loved and a bunch of others for me to try on! They are both so down to earth, not pushy (like many other shops) and so good at what they do. I ended up buying the dress and feel so confident it will be perfect.
