What a gem of a place! We wandered here on our way to the shore for a camping weekend and were so pleasantly surprised. Most roadside eateries are full of premade, fried foods. LB's Lunch Box offered tacos, seafood, and more! The location was very quaint, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. I ordered the crab cake sandwich, which was very good- not too heavy. They also had a handful of veggie/vegan friendly menu items. We will make this spot a regular stop from now on! read more

LBs Lunch Box has closed for the season; however, you should definitely check them out in the spring and summer months. I love this place! Many of their specials every week offer a unique twist on traditional dishes. Their desserts are amazing! As someone who bakes, I can recognize that they're made from scratch and a little love is baked into each of their treats. Relative to parking, parking is available next to the restaurant. This is a great family spot as it's next to a little lake with activities for kids to do. *Harvest Taquitos: butternut squash Taquitos with black beans, and chiles; topped with creams and chipotle pumpkin salsa *corn fritters *Sweet potato casserole cupcake (as described, a broil mash mellow topping with a sweet potato spiced cupcake ). *Banana pudding cupcake (a banana pudding topping and filling-topped with a vanilla wafer). I love this little gem! The crab and shrimp empanadas were good with the plantain chips. The lunch buddy with me had fish taco and liked it also. Total Hidden Gem. I've heard about LB's Lunch Box from numerous people and also have seen it when visiting the River Road Clam House for fish or clams, but never had the opportunity to stop for lunch/dinner. As another reviewer mentioned it's similar to a food truck but with a more permanent structure. It's probably one of the reasons we never stopped given my wife's allergy. We are always unsure that they don't use the freshest ingredients. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Most of the items on the menu she can have so we had to try it and the ingredients were very fresh. Everything on their menu is homemade. For our first visit we both ordered the crab cake sandwich. The crab cake itself was very good and it came with a choice of sauce. We got the sandwich with all the toppings and the Chipotle mayo. It was messy, but aren't most really good sandwiches, and delicious. It also came with waffle fries which were very good. My wife normally hates waffle fries, so when she said they were good, that's saying something. For our second visit, my wife stuck with the crab cake while I got the fish tacos with plantain chips. The fish tacos were great and the fish was very tasty and not overly battered. The plantain chips were a great alternative to the normal sides and I liked them a lot. Some more positives that should have you visiting LB's Lunch Box: The staff is extremely friendly and will answer any of your questions. The service was pretty fast so we didn't have to wait long. There are a few tables to sit outside or you can just take your order home. There is an awesome view of the Mullica River and you can take your order out to one of the benches to eat and enjoy the view. Although Lower Bank can be out of the way for some people it's definitely worth the drive. They seem to work closely with River Road Clam House, so I'd recommend going here for lunch/dinner and getting some fish or other items to take home for later. read more

In town visiting for a wedding nearby. Linda (a fan favorite of the place) brought the group I was with here. Holy flounder sandwich it was good! I've traveled all over and I'll say this was great and I would love to come back. It was raining and cold outside but with the food it didn't matter. We had: - the flounder - New England clam chowder - crab Mac and cheese bites And 3-4 other plates that were great. Just remember there isn't a bathroom. Looking forward to coming back! read more

LB's Lunch Box is similar to a food truck (minus the engine). We stopped here by boat along our travels to another marina on a Saturday afternoon. Their menu is small, but we were impressed by the freshness and quality of the food. We ordered the fish tacos (lightly fried) and the crab cake sandwich. Both were delicious. Two tacos come per order, which was perfect for me. It was hot as bodangs out, and the last thing I wanted to do was stuff myself into oblivion in the August heat. There are two large picnic tables at the River Road Clam House (seafood market) directly next store where you can sit and enjoy your lunch. Otherwise, there is no seating. Another aspect worth mentioning is that there is no bathroom. The portable bathroom on site was foul as hell, and I actually bypassed using it even though my bladder was yelling at me. I NEVER pass up an opportunity to whiz. It was that bad. There is a small public marina/dock directly across the street. When facing the dock from the water, the left side is utilized for launching. Be cautious to not dock your boat nor waverunner in that path. Solid choice for a quick bite for lunch if you're in the area! read more

Wow LB's lunchbox, the views, the food, and the point that it's not even on the map with no/ close to no cell service on your phone somehow it all just works. Lb's lunchbox is off the grid such a great place to go it wasn't hard to fine but it was a lot of locals there I loved it so much. We brought our dogs, the phone wasn't ringing off the hook and we just enjoy the views in each others company. Great place just to go relax, think if you need to and enjoy the weather. I tried so much food,The black bean burger was delicious, the egg cheese and shrimp sausage was unique, and the granola with almond milk hit the spot. As far as the coconut shrimp and other fried food, they could be Fried a little softer. Such a hidden treasure, having no cell service actually enhanced everything else. Girls up front took forever to acknowledge us which was kind of annoying, given there were 3 staff and only one customer checking out. This is an order at the counter type of joint where they bring the food out to your table. Nice outdoor seating with a good view of the lake. A handful of tables with umbrellas available and a decent amount of parking. The fish tacos, as other reviewers have said, were awesome. Perfectly fried, decent size portion of fish, nice sauce and slaw...really just well balanced. The one flaw is the tortillas- they should have been cooked a bit to hold up better...these were soft and one out of two tacos completely fell apart on me. Also only one tiny lime wedge for 2 decent sized tacos isn't ideal. Shrimp baskets were good - large shrimp perfectly breaded and fried. Seafood empanadas don't look like much in the pic but they were loaded with flavor. All in all we had a great lunch and the seafood tasted fresh. I'll definitely be back. read more

I've never left a Yelp review in my life but this business right here deserves a gold medal. I was on my way back home from the beach with my friend when we bumped into this cute little food truck. I wasn't even really hungry but the smell of my friend's food immediately made me get on line to order. I am usually not a big fan of crab cakes but let me tell you, I could eat these crab cakes for the rest of my life and be perfectly happy. Don't even get me started on the cheese fries. Honestly everything that I've tried from here is amazing- you can literally taste the freshness and love in every bite. And for such brilliant gourmet food, the prices are unbeatable. LB's itself is a cute food stand with a great view and an extremely friendly staff. My family and I have frequented LBs since it opened in 2019. We've had some great times sitting along the river (which is only a few steps from LBs), drinking amazing ice cream floats, and eating some top notch food. The best thing about this place is that they have a great menu. The regular menu has some must try items, but if you find yourself hooked on LB's like my family and I, you have to try the weekly specials. They are absolutely amazing, and often follow cute themed menus. The dessert is made fresh every week by one of the amazingly talented staff members. You do not want to miss out on trying the desserts- I've never tasted something like their Tres Leches Cakes. If you see that on special, be sure to grab a piece... or 6. This review may seem a little over the top, but trust me. You will not be disappointed with the food at LBs.
