Pho 5 stars Bahn mi 4 1/2 stars Shrimp spring rolls 3 3/4 stars Pho was pho-nomenal. Broth was very complex and delicious. I got the Pho Dac Biet. Tendon is always my favorite and it was melt in your mouth good. Meatballs had tons of flavor. Tripe was perfection and the other meats were spot on as well. I did order delivery. Only thing was I was missing lime, but it really didn't need it. This pho broth was very balanced. Heck, it really didn't need the hoisin or sriracha. I wish I could give the bahn mi 5 stars. It was so close. It was missing more of the pickled vegetables for flavor and balance. The lemongrass beef was delicious, but it almost became pate like in spots because it was so marinated and tender. The bread was PERFECT!!! The shrimp spring rolls threw me a little. They were 1/3 shredded lettuce. To make up for that, the put in a fried piece of wonton or fried rice paper hidden in it. I really liked it in the texture. There wasn't a ton of vermicelli noodles in it, but the crunch was really neat. I enjoyed it. The peanut sauce was a little to thick and sweet for me. It was very peanut butter heavy. It was tasty and I'd order them again but they weren't the typical Vietnamese spring roll that you'll find at every other restaurant in the Chicagoland area. I am relatively new to Pho. I've been to five locations that serve Pho and LC has become my favorite. I've had the beef and chicken Pho. Both were delicious and the stock was outstanding. The garnishes were all fresh. The basil looked and smelled like it was just picked from a garden. For the beef Pho, the beef was fresh and tender. The chicken Pho was just as delicious. The dumplings in the app section, are expensive but delicious. TLDR: Very delicious and authentic Vietnamese food. Great service. Good vegetarian options. Stopped by tonight with my girlfriend and her parents for dinner. I'm vegetarian and ordered the veggie spring rolls and veggie pho with egg tofu. Both were amazingly tasty. The spring rolls had the perfect combination of crispy inside and soft rice paper outside. The Vegetarian Pho perfectly brought out the flavors of each of the vegetables and the broth was a great salty flavor. I had never had egg tofu like that before, so it was really nice that the waiter explained to me what it was and that I got to try it. The service was very good and when a banh mi we ordered was late the waiter apologized and brought it out quickly. The restaurant wasn't too crowded and everyone at my table was very satisfied with their food. I'll definitely be back! :) read more

Simply put, the best place to eat in the area. I stay around Forest Park and travel the distance for this place. The Pho is amazing and even the small bowl is massive and it's cheap!!! The coconut shrimp is amazing and the dumplings oh my god!!! Firecracker shrimp are a must and all of their rice dishes are perfection. I would recommend this to random people on the street. I grew up in California and I am pretty picky about my vietnamese food. This is one of the pho joints in Chicago that I am a fan of. My two favorites: The chicken pho has a flavorful broth and once the chef told me that they bought fresh live chickens from nearby. Not sure if they still do. The mam gung (ginger fish sauce) dipping sauce that goes with it is pretty good too. The fish sauce chicken wings are also so so good. They are sticky crispy juicy umami goodness Minus one star for their terrible rendition of Bun Mam. No fermented fish flavor in the broth, two wimpy pieces of pork plus other sad looking accompaniments AND they were using pho noodles instead of bun (vermicelli) noodles!!! My usual pho place is in Uptown, but I live a tad bit closer to LC. My dining companion and I got there maybe half an hour before closing time but never felt rushed. I was pleased to see vegetarian options. The veggie pho comes with either egg tofu or regular tofu (get the egg tofu!). My partner got a large beef, I believe, which he liked very much. The waitress was friendly and outgoing without being overbearing and annoying. The only thing is that the bean sprouts and basil leaves were not as fresh as they could have been. I understand though that it was the end of the day on Sunday. Overall, I recommend LC and will be returning soon! read more

LC Pho is our favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Chicago. My son love their fried rice, best of the best. My favorite is their beef stew.

Although I would still travel to Uptown for my Vietnamese food craves, LC is my go to when I'm not up for the drive. I have had a terrible cold so I ordered some chicken pho through the Yelp app. So glad I did. Delivery was fast and accurate. This is my first yelp review and I am writing it as I eat a giant bowl of delicious pho tai (#15?) from LC Pho. After trying several different Vietnamese restaurants since moving here in an attempt to find a really good pho tai (because I definitely try hard to make it a weekly meal), and after being disappointed over and over, I finally found what I like at LC Pho. The broth is great - lots of flavor and depth (and you get a generous amount) The meat is delicious - very tender, not overly chewy (and you get a generous amount) The veggies are the typical veggies and again, you get a generous amount (which I like because I like veggies) I don't think you can beat the taste and value here, at least for the pho. They don't seem to skimp on quality or quantity, and this is definitely the best restaurant for pho I've found so far in Chicago. read more

I ordered a bowl of pho and it was the worst bowl of pho. It was bland and 80 % of it was the broth. I know it's cold inside and outside but, I can just order tea. My daughter eat her bowl of pho like that. Beside the pho, the spring roll was ok. Customer service was good ! The server forgot about our bill but, it was ok. This is the BEST Pho in the neighborhood! They always have a smile for you when you walk in the door, service is fast, and the Pho is hot! And, as strange as it sounds for a Pho place, their fried rice is my FAVORITE of anywhere in the city! Try the combo fried rice with a little hoison sauce on it, and then drift off to heaven! I only knocked it down one star because of their carryout issues. They regularly turn off their Grub Hub WAAAAAY early in the evening. Even for pickup. I once drove past on the way home, and once home, decide to order from them, and was just gonna walk over to pick it up...and the Grub Hub said it was closed. I called, and immediately it was answered, and a gal told me they had turned it off because they were "too busy" to deal with Grub Hub. There was definitely at least half the tables open when I had drove by. I then asked if I could order pickup from her over the phone, and she hung up on me. Umm, I mean, I love these guys, but...what..you don't want my money? Hard to believe the joint was that busy at 730pm on a Thursday. Ive noticed most nights when I go to use Grub Hub, they have turned it off to say they're closed...not a great business decision. Ive tried to order pickup and delivery at least a dozen times over the past few months, only to succeed once haha! But, if they're open, and you wanna walk in and sit, that seems to be the way to go! read more

I live in Logan Square and don't have access to a car, so it's more or less a 1 hour commute to LC Pho. But that doesn't stop me. I'm here every time I have a pho craving! I'm very picky about my Pho considering I'm Vietnamese. However, the their broth is delicious! I also really like that they have other awesome noodle soups like bun bo hue and ox tail soup to offer. But what I can really appreciate is their customer service. After an aggravating incident due to grub hub and them not delivering my food within a reasonable time (more than 2 hours), LC Pho rectified the situation even though it wasn't directly their fault. Customer service goes a long way in my book. So thank you. I will be back. Often! read more

I never knew how much I loved Vietnames food until I ate here! The spring rolls are amazing and so is the homemade fish sauce and this other peanut sauce they give you. They have a variety of different things on the menu. The food is nicely presented and they give you huge portions. I always have food left over for lunch the next day. This place is BYOB and there's a liquor store across LC Pho. The staff is genuinely nice and great but never overbearing- they definitely will make you feel at home. This place is awesome! I've only had pho once before on argyle and it was ok but the restaurant staff was stonefaced and the atmosphere was not inviting. At L.C. Pho they are super friendly and laid back. Our servers made the menu approachable for us novices. Honestly, it seemed like they liked answering all of our questions and were as excited about the food as their customers. The decor is simple, but clean and neat. It's BYOB too. We brought a few beers and were promptly given glasses. I loved the place before the food was even served. I ordered the sliced beef and meatball pho. Let me just say, with my western perspective pho does not look like much, but looks are deceiving. The pho is delicious. The broth is rich and flavorful. The meatballs were unique and contained flavors that I have never tasted before, but that I will be back for soon. Two of my guests had the shredded chicken pho and that was delicious as well. The shredded chicken comes with a side of this sweet vinegar sauce for dipping the chicken. All pho comes with bean sprouts, basil, limes and jalapeños on the side to dress up your pho to taste. Pho comes in two sizes. I can take down some food, but the smaller size was big enough with appetizers. Only one person in my party finished it all. They have a big soup got only $1 more if you think you can hang. The chef/owner came by the table to tell us about the name change afterwards. L. C. Pho was L.D. Pho. He also told us that the beef broth is made with 30lbs of beef bones that are cooked for at least 6 hours. So far this is the best dining experience that I've had in a while and I will be back.
