I normally do not write reviews so when I do, it is an exceptional experience. Unfortunately, this experience was exceptionally horrible. I walked in and the employee who must have been a brand new hire walked me back while what appeared to be the owner, gave her orders from afar. Neither introduced themselves so I can't give names. No questions were asked of me other than if I am looking for more casual or lingerie. I told them more casual for every day use. The newer employee measured me while the owner watched and gave pointers. Im all for someone learning the process, but it should probably be explained to the patron at the beginning. They left, got some bras, and brought them back for me to try on. She handed me the bra and just stood there. Im not modest so I didn't mind taking my bra off in front of her, but she never asked if this was OK. I have been to a few high end bra stores and never had a women stay in the room without my permission or at least telling me.. They also touched my boobs without permission. Again, I dont care, but I am sure there are people who would. They brought me unlined bras to try on. When I told them that I prefer lightly lined, the owner told me that unlined was better for me even after I told them the specific reason I prefer lightly lined. I kept asking for lightly lined bras to try on and again, they brought more and more unlined which were clearly more lingerie type bras than every day bras. They finally brought something that wasn't unlined, but it was on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. It became evidently clear that they did not have lightly lined bras and instead of telling me, tried to get me to buy an unlined one. I felt like every time I said something, the owner told me why I was wrong. I was never alone the whole appointment until the end. The new employee went out to help the owner look for more bras and I was trying to decide which one of the unlined bras I wanted to buy because I felt so much pressure to buy something. I then realized that I went there to buy a lightly lined bra, was never asked what I wanted or was looking for, was told I was wrong the whole time, and was never informed someone new would be helping me; I did not owe it to them and did not want an unlined bra. I politely went out onto the sales floor and thanked them for their time and said that I didn't think I would be purchasing a bra today. What happened next, I could not believe! The owner stared at me after i told them and then told me that there was a $25 charge for the fitting if no bra was purchased. I kindly asked where it said that on the website because literally everything said $0 for the fitting. The website, the confirmation page, and the confirmation email all said $0 and nowhere did it have this stipulation. The owner looked at me and didn't say anything. I told them to have a nice day and walked out. It is clear that the owner wasn't happy with me and seems like she came up with the $25 charge on the spot as a f*** you. If you are looking for an amazing bra store to go to, go to Coup de Foundre. It is only like 15 minutes away and I had an amazing experience there. I would save your time and money and never set foot in Le Bustier Boutique unless you're really fond of rude employees and want to feel pressured to purchase a bra. read more

Remarkebly overpriced, everything is honestly synthetic low quality, personnel abandons you in the fitting room and also they make body contact when you are trying your bras on to "help you". Meaning they touch your breast. To top it all, they do not give re-funds even if you had never worn the item outside of the store. Went to Le Bustiere for the very first time today. This store is a little gem, indeed. This place is the Pandora box of lingerie finds in DC. I don't think you can find the stuff she carries anywhere else nearby. Stephanie has a phenomenal taste and it shows in her merchandise selection! I walked in here after work and was given a complimentary bra fitting. Even with limited selection for my size since they were slammed over the weekend, I still walked out with 2 pairs for my "girls". It's crazy what difference a bra that fits makes you feel! Remember those days when you're dying to take your bra off after a long day? Well, you're not going to get that anymore after your trip here! Stephanie was both professional and personable during the fitting. She selected several styles for me to try on to see what I like and don't like. After one trial, she got me all figured out...MIND BLOWN. You will walk out of here having your "girls" float in their bras. SO, if you haven't been here, PLEASE COME! Awesome experience! First I was early for my fitting. Like 10 minutes before they even opened early. Did not matter. They were so nice and started to size me right away. I was wearing 2 cup sizes to big and an inch to small around the waster. And boy does it make a difference. I almost cried (of Joy) when I tried the first bra on. Because now, when I bend over the ladies don't fall out! Who knew that's what bras are suppose to do. Im a 36H and its a great to know you can have pretty bras that actually support and you can wear all day. I did not think these bras existed. They also have every other size imaginable. Great staff as well. Sorry forgot the name of the nice young African American women who helped me but she was determined to give me a variety to choose from. The manager or owner not sure, also checked on my appointment as it progressed and suggested bras as well. So lately I've noticed my bras haven't been fitting that great, and now that I'm 30, I decided that it's time that I change that. So I called ahead to ask about scheduling and they said you can either just go right in or set up an appointment, so I just headed over on a whim. Also, they said I could bring my small dog, so they got major bonus points before I even got there. The store is located on the second floor just off the main strip in Adams Morgan, so it's easy to miss. Once you get up there though, it's adorable and really well laid out. The staff is very friendly, and Sarah brought me into the back and measured me right away. When she said the size I measured at, I first nearly fell over in shock, and then didn't believe her. I walked in wearing a 34C, and she measured me at a 38F. F, like Frank. She walked back into the retail area and came back with some bras for me to try, and it was seriously like night and day. I ended up with a 38E (!) and it fits PERFECT. The bras are not cheap, but they're also not absurd. The ones she brought me to try on ranged from $52 - $80 each, and I ended up purchasing one $60, cute and wonderfully fitting bra. I knew that a lot of women were off on their sizing, but I had no idea I would be THAT far off, or how different the right size bra would look and feel. I'm a huge fan of this place. I collect lingerie, and DC is really lacking in boutique stores and hard-to-find brands. The store carries (off the top of my head) Mimi Holiday and Dirty Pretty Things, to mention a few. They sell sets from Europe, and even carry larger sizes. This place is fantastic. It was time for me to buy some new, big-girl bras, so I went in on Sunday for a fitting. Stephanie was so helpful, patient, and meticulous (in the best way), and a lot of fun. She was right next to me to carefully assess how well each bra fit, and I probably tried on at least 20. She also encouraged me to try styles I would never have previously considered - most of which I ended up really liking. I walked out with 2 perfectly fitting, extremely comfortable bras, totaling only around $100 - a lot less than I had anticipated spending. So happy this shop is in the neighborhood! Don't be fooled into thinking their selection is limited to what you see in the front! There are everyday-wear bras tucked away in the back. Lots of sizes and styles to choose from, which is great if you are something other than an A, B, or C cup. I spent a little more than I wanted to per bra ($115, and then $125 for a Mimi Holliday) but I know I would not have found such pretty things anywhere else. One thing I think people should know before coming is that you should be ready to communicate what you're looking for and what you like/dislike. Bra shopping is the only time I go someplace fully expecting to be a diva, and I think if I was more reserved I might have left with bras I didn't like. read more

The best lingerie store I have ever been to!!! The saleswomen were so incredibly knowledgeable and will work tirelessly to find you the exact right bra. I went in to help out a friend who didn't think she was wearing the right size. I decided to get measured just for fun, thinking I knew my own size. Turns out I was wearing the wrong size too!! The new bra lifted and separated like nobody's business and made the bra I came in with look like a joke. Their bras are GORGEOUS and they have lingerie, everyday bras, and swimwear. Plus their sizes go up to a K cup! I can't tell you how wonderful that is as someone whose been over a DD (and thus excluded from places like Victoria's Secret) since high school. During this COVID time my bras begin to feel very uncomfortable so I looked up bra fitting and found Le Bustiere Boutique. It was so easy to schedule the appointment time and let them know the size bra I was currently wearing which was a 36G. I got to the shop and met Stephanie who was lovely, so warm and friendly. She and her assistant began to measure me and she said well, you're not a 36G but a 34H or 34K depending on the make of the bra. They brought in a variety of functional and sexy lace bras that I could actually fit. Do your girls a favor and get them fitted by Stephanie! Amazing attention and customer service. I ditched my black bra and wore the sexy sheer saffron polka dot home. You have to pamper yourself and your girls to the lovely merchandise here, more than just bras. read more

I was looking a corset to wear for pirate day at the Renaissance Festival in a couple of weeks. I was hesitant to order one online since I had no idea about sizing not to mention I'm hard to fit. I found this boutique on Yelp when a did a search for corset shops. I'm soooo glad I found this place! My boyfriend and I visited shop yesterday. Marcia helped us and was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and patient. She laced me up, educated me, pulled, tucked and got me and the girls into a few different corsets. I also tried on a few bras (I LOVE Curvy Kate). We struck out on the bras but we ended up purchasing two corsets and a waist cincher. SEXY! Though they obviously have a great selection, I would like to see more brands that carry the larger cup sizes like Panache, Freya, Elomi, etc. Which is why they just missed getting all 5 stars. After going around to other stores and rummaging through Victoria's Secret's disappointing selection, I tried one more time to find something special for Valentine's and came across Le Bustiere. I walked in and was greeted not just with a hello or general "Can I help you?", but with a handshake and introduction as Stephanie, the owner, started asking specific questions and really seemed to want to find something perfect for me. Customer service doesn't even describe it because the service here feels like a personal lingerie stylist. There were even a couple of pieces that she found me that I wouldn't normally have picked but loved and some that I tried on and fit funny but with her adjustments suddenly fit me perfectly. In the end, I walked out with the perfect pick. Great selection with high quality lingerie and also fun toys and add ons. They also have incredibly reasonable prices. I went to Le Bustiere for a proper bra fitting. The 20 year olds at Victoria Secret - not working for me. I have been wearing a 34B for years and was shocked to be told I should be wearing at 30E or 32D! Instant boob job! The woman here really help you find the right bras, the fit, and listen to what you like. The bras tend to be more expensive but they don't pressure you to buy what you don't want to. The bra I ended up liking the most was only $60 and I've never had such a great fit. The also got me to be more open to sheer or sexier bras. I will return! read more

Overall, one of the better lingerie shops I've been to in DC/NOVA. A great variety of lingerie. Yes, it is a little pricey, but if you're looking to indulge in some nice lingerie, this is a great place to go. I found this place in a Google search for "bra shops near me." I was visiting DC with my daughter, and she wanted to get bras; we don't live near any, so we took advantage of our trip to get professionally fitted. We both changed what we were wearing, and bought two bras each. Yes, the bras were more expensive than I'd ever got before, but a) they're great, and b) the customer service is awesome. This place is amazing, the owner helped me find an array of bras for my unique body type (large rob cage and very small busts) which I always thought was a 38-40 AA, but she helped me find a better size I never would have guessed (36C/38B/34-36D) which varied by the bra. She was very kind, and stayed over an hour and a half after closing for me, which I felt terrible about, but she was very insistent we find the perfect bra(s). Highly recommend!
