I absolutely loved Le Cache Dulcet. Quick service and great vibes. The staff is very helpful with drink recommendations and I can tell they're passionate about being a barista. I loved that there's a live DJ and he was taking song requests as well. The drink I tried was the matcha poire piquante. This tasted like autumn in a cup. I hadn't ever tried matcha with warm spice flavors so this was surprisingly good to me. It's a great place to have some coffee, hangout, work, or study so anyone in the Richmond area should come check out Le Cache Dulcet.

A nice space with a great atmosphere. Hidden/tucked into Broad Street's Downtown/Jackson Ward corridor. The menu is not vast and that is a good thing. I have never had oat milk in my latte, but I did today and it was not bad at all. I like the decor and I was their first customer today, so I was able to speak to the owner. He was able to share the resin for offering Oat milk only and I can appreciate that reason. There are take-home offerings that you will be able to purchase as well. The vinyl selection is top notch just like this latte. I didn't purchase any today, though. The Richmond Seen Newspaper was on site today, too. I will definitely be back. It was worth the trip and try.

I LOVE this coffee and tea shop. The owner hand makes all your beverages and he handles it with CARE. He has all sorts of flavors and combinations and he has the coolest set he does it with as well. This is also a record store and he PLAYS RECORDS. He also has alcohol free events with good music and vibes. I 100% recommend when you're in Richmond.

Visited this black owned coffee shop on Sunday and immediately fell in love with it!! It gives nostalgia vibes with their record collection (that is for purchase by the way) and the hip hop tunes floating through the coffee shop. I had an iced dirty chai and added brown sugar and vanilla. It was so good. The service was top tier and the staff were very friendly. I think I've found my new favorite coffee shop!

Of all the coffee spots i've frequented in my years, I've never experienced one like this. The owner is super knowledgable about everything coffee and music. He makes you feel like you're family, or at least familiar, as soon as you walk in. From the eclectic collection of records, to the uniquely specific curated selection of beverages and infusions.. this place is like no other. I HIGHLY recommend checking this place out for the beverages, the vibes, and overall experience as a whole. Le Cache Dulcet is DEFINITELY 1 of 1. I'm already anxious for my next visit!

The latte was quite creamy due to the oat milk, and was mellow in taste with some smokey tints.

They also sell records and have a bargain section for $1 by the register, but those have to be paid in cash. I saw a lot of great books there and was able to find a Wally Lamb book. There were tons of books for such a small space and the books are fairly priced. You can bring books to sell, but only until 4pm. It is worth a visit.

I really appreciated the many genres of books they housed, and how many of the novels centered around magic, anarchy, protest, diverse cultures, etc. they had a great selection of stickers and little trinkets as well, which is fun to look at. I was a little confused because they are a new and used bookstore, but I didn't see used prices on any of the books I picked up, just the sticker prices. They even had signs about them buying books, but I didn't understand really where I could shop used if I so desired. The man at the register was quiet and didn't interrupt my browsing, but was kind when I greeted him and offered to help another guest while I was there. Since I generally don't find myself on Main Street and mostly shop used books, this isn't my fav store in the area, but it's definitely convenient for this part of town and has great stock!

No, I don't need any new additions to my collection but I NEED to keep looking and buying (I bought about 12 or so LPs yesterday at Plan 9). I have a collection of (vinyl) records to rival most - over 15,000 plus almost as many CDs. I have thousands of 7 inch records. I'm 79 years old and I have most of the records I really want, but I love to continue the search. I love the experience of flipping through records. And Plan 9 is the best place (with the possible exception of Memory Lane) to do that. I spent an hour or so there yesterday morning and found things I don't need but like. I collect mostly Rock 'n' Roll, Folk, Jazz, Country, R&B/Soul but I am fascinated with the easy listening LPs of instrumentals and vocal choirs covering 60s and 70s popular music. The kids might call it "Exotica", but I call it easy listening. Plan 9 has it all - inexpensive to ridiculously expensive - Jazz, Easy Listening, Rock, Country, Soul, Hip-Hop/Rap, Folk, Local music. It's a trip and I love every second of it. Thanks, Plan 9 for hanging in there and giving Richmond an iconic record store!
