Post hike, I needed to get a good pick me up meal and some coffee. This place is perfect for your Instagram photos, with a beautiful flower walk back drop, and a cute pink piano in the side of it. I ordered their morning wrap which was so delicious I ate t a little too fast. For my drink I ordered a banana cold foam latte, perfect for the summer heat, and it came in this cute clear can. Great service, great vibes!

Not super busy but took a long time to get our food. Once received it was ice cold. I don't know about you but cold eggs and rock hard toast are not my jam! Especially for the price. Wouldn't come back. Patio is cute but loud. Coffee was decent. Staff was sweet.

I came here right after the Point Dume hike and the place was very aesthetic they had flowers on the wall and a pink piano! The cashier was nice and the food was actually surprisingly good. I really enjoyed the prosciutto sandwich, though I did take off a lot of the arugula since it came with way too much for my liking. But I LOVED THE ORANGE JUICE. It was ACTUALLYYYY fresh! The price was around $50-60 with tip for 2 orange juices and 2 sandwiches, I didn't get to try the coffee or the pastries, but I loved how they had a French flag on them! Wish I could've tried the coffee or the pastries but the place was not bad overall.

    Only Good Vibes!

Friends.... We've all got 'em! And Apparently... Garth Brooks has them in low places ;) So, what are friends really good for anyway?? Friends are there to go to lunch with. Friends are there to play at the beach. And some Friends, will even help you learn a new language. Anybody remember that one Friends Episode? You know... The One Where Joey Speaks French Phoebe: Je m'appelle Claude Joey: Je de coup Clow. Phoebe: Well, just... let's try it again. Joey: Ok. Phoebe: Je m'appelle Claude Joey: Je depli mblue Ok, you get the point... Learning French is no easy task. But... Eating like the French. Dining like the French. & Living like the French. Is something I can definitely get behind. I mean, who doesn't Love Bread, Cheese & Wine!! And what better place to "Eat like the French" all while you "Dine like the French" than... Malibu, California!!! Welcome to Le Cafe De La Plage aka The Café at the Beach That's right! An upscale Café in this swanky little beach town known as Malibu where knowing how to speak French is not required. All that is required is: The LOVE of Baguettes. The LOVE of Brie. And the Absolute LOVE of their Countries colors: The Red, The White & The Blue, err.. reverse that ;) Yes, tiny Flags of France (that are Blue, White & Red) are proudly displayed inside the glass case line which helps highlight all of the delicious house-made baguette sandwiches that are all up for grabs. And if that doesn't grab your attention, check out their other French Specialties. -Rustic Tarts -Croissants -Beignets -Croque Monsieur -Nicoise Salad Just to name a few. And if you're a morning person, they've also got... -Omelettes -Quiche Lorraine -A Brioche Bun Sandwich And of course... -Madeline's & Canelés. But you better order your breakfast with a hot cup of Café au lait, which of course is a French Classic. And if the above French-named dishes are not enough reasons to make you break out and do the Can-can (an iconic French Cabaret dance)... Then maybe their Natural, Hand-Crafted Ice Cream that is making a name for itself on the West Coast Can-(can) change your mind. This little Café which is located on Point Dume in Malibu is just a hop, skip and a jump away from the Coastline, so bringing a friend, grabbing some lunch and then heading to the beach has never been easier now that I've discovered... Le Café De La Plage And to those who are actually fluent in French Lord knows I'm not, but google is ;) Here is one about friendship you may appreciate: "Un ami, c'est quelqu'un qui vous connaît bien et qui vous aime quand même." To Le Café De La Plage... Until next time, Forever and for Always.. Vive La France!

    Hot mocha latte
    Marjan M.

I work in the area and decided to stop by for some coffee on my break. It was a gloomy day in Malibu so I chose to go with a hot mocha latte with regular milk. The only stars I'm giving are for the service I received because the drink was mid. Drink 2/5 The hot mocha had a cute heart latte art on it. The cashier had informed me that they use cocoa powder so it will not be sweetened and I was okay with that. However, all I tasted was milk & cocoa powder. The drink tasted just like the "sipping chocolate flavored cocoa mix" from Trader Joe's. The espresso was nowhere to be found. Service 5/5 The cashier was warm & welcoming. I also got a "have a nice day" from the barista even though the cafe was really busy and had people standing in line at 10:30 am on a Friday. Price Prices seem average & reasonable for a coffee shop in Malibu. However, given that I didn't love the drink, I'm not sure it was worth $6.75. Ambiance The interior is aesthetically pleasing but there's very few seats inside so most people use the common outdoor seating. Parking I've been to other shops in this plaza before & parking tends to be an issue. The layout is pretty weird & it gets really chaotic at times.

Lemonade and California Chicken Avocado Baguette
    Nylah W.

The cutest cafe ever! Parking is actually horrendous because it's next to a pavilions so it's hard to find a spot amongst grocery shoppers. But once you get past that, the inside is very cute and all the employees are so nice. Seating is mainly outside, the weather was beautiful so we didn't mind. I don't normally order sandwiches but the California Chicken Avocado Baguette was calling my name and I answered. It was very savory with a very slight kick of spice. The balsamic vinaigrette salad that it came with, was genuinely, the best salad i've had in a long time. It came with the perfect amount of dressing, salt, and pepper. The lemonade was more on the sour side which is personally my preference. I love that the drinks come sealed in a can-like fashion!

They have good Canelés. Good dessert and pastries. I got sandwiches but they were okay. Good cafe in general.

    Lavender honey latte

Stopped here on our way to point dume. I've been here a few times and this was my first time trying the pastries. The scone was delicious, a little lacking in butter but so light and not overpowering sweet. I got the lavender honey latte and was very happy. Brother got the pistachio latte and felt it was also light on the taste. They have ice cream here that was also so rich in flavor. Service was quick and it's so cute and instagramable as a cafe. I love it here!

They didn't forget that I ordered a ficelle this time! First time in the 4 times I've been here that I didn't have to argue with staff that "yes, I ordered" and "no, I never got it coz you were warming it up and was gonna call me". Might be because it was NOT busy during this visit. No line to order. No wait for pick up our food. You might surmise that their FICELLE is great because I still get their ficelle every single time. Chocolate Scone is delicious and has excellent texture. Free parking lot in this center.

It's tucked away in an unassuming corner with a relaxed outdoor seating area next to a fountain that somehow makes the whole experience feel even better. The flavor lineup balanced classics with more creative combinations, and honestly, everything looked like a home run. Service was good and the gelato itself absolutely delivered Parking? Lot I had: Blackberry Mascarpone (5/5): This was killer. The blackberry brought a deep, jammy sweetness while the mascarpone added this rich, fatty creaminess that rounded everything out beautifully. It tasted layered and balanced instead of just sweet for the sake of being sweet. The kind of flavor that makes you immediately start debating whether getting another scoop is irresponsible or completely justified The Elvis (5/5): Elvis knew what he was doing. Banana, chocolate, and peanut butter sounds like it could go off the rails fast, but this combo absolutely worked. The banana actually tasted real instead of artificial candy flavoring, which immediately elevated the whole thing. Rich, nostalgic, slightly over the top in the best possible way. A genuinely great gelato flavor

We sat inside and it was very comfortable but again, only can fit like two sets of customers with seating and definitely would be uncomfortable with a small crowd. The staff were super nice and friendly. Great service and patience with my kid as she looked over the flavors. That's always nice. The gal who rang us up was quick and gave a nice scoop. Beach day + Malibu Seafood has become a tradition for me…read more A quick heads-up before you go: be patient. Parking can be tight, the line usually wraps around the shack, and everyone is hungry. But don't let that scare you off--the food is absolutely worth the wait. I've been here three times now, and one thing has never changed: the 3-piece fried fish and fries is mandatory. The portions are huge, and I'm calling it now... the best fish and chips in Los Angeles. The fish is unbelievably crispy on the outside, perfectly flaky on the inside, and fried exactly the way it should be. I used to order the fried seafood combo, which comes with fish, shrimp, scallops, and calamari. Everything is good, but the fish and shrimp are the stars, so now I just order the fish and chips with fried shrimp à la carte. One item that deserves way more attention on Yelp is the ceviche. It's ridiculously fresh, loaded with flavor, and served with crispy fried tortilla chips. Honestly, I'd order it every visit. The clam chowder is good too, but the ceviche steals the spotlight. The lobster roll is another surprise. I love Broad Street Oyster Company's lobster roll, but it's over almost as soon as it starts. Malibu Seafood's version is much more generous while still being packed with fresh lobster. Don't sleep on the steamed mussels either. Order a pound for the table and make sure you save the bread for the broth. That broth alone is worth coming back for. I always finish it off with one of their fresh-squeezed lemonades--the perfect pairing after a day at the beach. Seating can take a little patience too, but that's part of the experience. Grab a table overlooking the ocean and PCH if you can. Fresh seafood, ocean breeze, and flip-flops still covered in sand... that's Malibu done right. No reservations. No fancy dress code. Just outstanding seafood in one of the best casual beachside spots around. I'll keep coming back.
