First time trying le Coffee. Trying to figure out the entrance and first walking into what said inside dining, was not the starting point but just a place to eat inside. While Navi sharing through a few tables and obviously confused 2 different servers passed us at least twice with not one word of direction or even a friendly greeting. Once inside the correct door, still not sure how things work, the woman that was there was having a friendly conversation with a customer picking up a to go order. Visiting from out of town and apparently this is one of the more popular places for a Sunday breakfast/brunch. You order your food and find a table (not that easy!) and they deliver it to you. My friend and I shared two items ... a quiche with ham, caramelized onions and goat cheese and an open faced sandwich called croque madame. Wow. Nailed it. Not just good, excellent. My breakfast sandwich was great and I loved that they offered the make your own style. The croissants were perfectly tender and ultra flakey. The croque monsieur was excellent and very close to the authentic in France. The potatoes au gratin....I broke my cheese fast for this and it was worth it. Coffee was fine. Lemon tart had good flavor although the merengue topper kind of ruined the ability to cut it nicely and was too much to enjoy with the tart itself. Definitely recommend this spot. read more

Omg you guys this place an absolute gem!! We always go to the French bakery in Escondido, but found this place and I'm so happy we did. Let me tell you that everything is amazing. Evening just their regular coffee black is so good. My son got their macarons and they were so good. Just be prepared to wait in line and "fight" for a table, but it will be worth it. Love that they had outdoor seating. I wanted to order so much more but I can only eat so much. Landed on the breakfast sandwich which also allowed me to try the delicious, super buttery, flaky croissant. Got a side of fruit with it and it was a perfect portion for breakfast. It's an unusual set up since you have to order at the counter and then find yourself a spot which can be hard to do when there's a lot of people. The food was absolutely delish I was very happy with it. I paid $58 for three people's dish one of them being only gotten a croissant and a coffee. Very poor service, especially for the high prices. Spent $70 here today. I purchased a pastry, but unfortunately reheating it ruined it. I asked to have it replaced with an unheated one, and the manager refused even though I was dissatisfied with the food. Very disappointing. You lost a customer over an inexpensive pastry because of poor service and management UPDATE: I read a few of the reviews on here, and noticed the owner commented on one, and publicly insulted a past customer. Family owned business and it shows! Very attentive service even though it gets busy! all employees are happy with what they do and you see it with the smiles in their faces. The guy at the register was patient and answered our questions as we it was our first time there. We ordered then sat down and plates were brought over. Def enjoyed our brunch Al fresco. Make sure to bring a sweater as there is no indoor seating if you go on a chilly day. Lattes were beautifully crafted. The cookie butter latte could have used of another pump of whatever syrup they use but nonetheless pretty tasty. The omelette was cooked to perfection along with the croissants and the potato au gratin. The crepes are soft...wish they were little more buttery...a little pricey for single crepe as it's not filling (per my husband) but it's worth having as a tasty side. If you don't want to sit in, they do have a smaller stand outside with baked goods that you can grab and go. Note they don't take card at the outdoor stand. Had their Orange cinnamon rolls and they're ok I think warmed would be better as I saved it for later.
