Another happy birthday tradition for my girls and I to pick up a couple delicious croissants and tarts from Le Croissant (driving an hour away, and it's worth it). Highly recommend the large spinach and mushroom with cheese, though I think the cheese may have changed. We also love the pistachio and the almond croissants. Each of the three items we had were excellent, though I wish we'd gotten there sooner so that we could've tried some of their other croissants. This is my third time coming to the bakery and it was delicious as usual. This time I got the chocolate croissant, fruit tart, and strawberry croissant. There's a cream filling in the tart and strawberry croissant - it's just the right amount of sweetness and soo tasty. The croissants are flaky, crunchy outside and soft inside. The fruit used in the desserts are sweet and ripe. Service was awesome - we came around 2pm and were offered a free extra strawberry croissant as the cashier said that they probably wouldn't sell out of it before closing. Finally made it to Greenwood and this was my only reason to stop there. I have been following the Instagram page forever and was so happy to go. It was just before 10 AM and there was no one in there which was fabulous. I was afraid that like other bakeries they wouldn't have many things available but to my surprise, they just kept bringing more and more out to stock the case. I walked in, and there was a young lady behind the counter who didn't acknowledge me, which was fine because I was busy looking around. When I was ready I asked for the strawberry cream pastry because it looked amazing. It was funny because her reply was do you need a box? I was confused and I just said no, you can just put it in a bag and then she proceeded to ask how many I was going to order and I was thinking just one. But I saw that they had regular croissants and those are my go to. Just a regular plain croissant, you can't mess it up. I had to get one to see the difference from the other bakeries. They must have been out for a little bit because they were starting to get a little hard on the edges but they were still soft when you got to the middle. I waited until I got home to warm them up and eat them. They tasted much better after being warmed up. They don't get soggy or chewy, just perfect! The butteriness came out and was still flaky. I enjoyed the pastries, and I will probably go again, but first impressions are a lot, the person behind the counter is important. It's really easy to get to just right off the interstate and they do have an area to sit at and enjoy it there if you'd like. Got myself a French Baguette for the first time today, and my goodness it's incredible. Perfect crunch on the outside with the softest, fluffy center. Plus it's huge - about 2 feet in length. Almond croissants are some of my favorite things on this earth. Le Croissant gives good almond croissant: the croissant is flaky yet has a nice chew, the almonds sprinkled on top are toasted, and the almond paste inside is tasty. I wouldn't be mad if they put a little more almond paste inside, but I'm just being picky here. Really, it's hard to find a better almond croissant in the area. Their strawberry croissants -- their signature pastry -- might be my favorite thing that I ordered. It's a croissant filled with vanilla cream and slices of strawberries. I happened to visit when strawberries were at peak season, so that made it even more delicious. Their mixed berry croissant is almost equally as great as the strawberry, but it's bigger and costs a little more. It has the same vanilla cream, and is topped with blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. I also got a chocolate croissant, but I haven't eaten it yet -- three croissants in one day might be my max, I've learned. Other things I saw in the store that I wanted to get but will probably get next time: fresh French baguettes, turnovers, danish, scones, and a plum almond croissant that sounded intriguing. They also sell savory croissants filled with things like spinach and mushroom and ham and cheese. I arrived around 9 a.m. on a weekday, and there was no wait at all, and the cases were fully stocked. I was a little worried that wouldn't be the case, but I think the crazy lines and selling out before 10 a.m. has evened out and Le Croissant has found their stride. I almost don't want to mention the cost, because I don't want them to start charging more, but everything is incredibly affordable considering the quality. This is easily the best Croissant that I've had in Indy and the entire state! I've had the Levathan and the Amelia's, but this place is easily the best. The overall vibe of the place is very welcoming and everyone working there greets you when to walk in. They have a great selection of fresh croissants including Strawberry, Maple, Almond, Pistachio and Chocolate. We ordered the Pistachio (which just came out of the oven!) and the coffee cream one. Each one of them was the size of my hand, but what surprised me most was how dense they were. Each one was packed with the delicious stuffing yet still crispy on the outside. I was very excited to try out Le Croissant! I've heard tons of great reviews about it! As always, we all have different taste buds. My taste always leans heavily towards the sweet side and I love sweet dishes. Chocolate croissant: ordered for my son as chocolate croissants are his favorite pastry. The chocolate comes drizzled on the outside of the croissant. Chocolate is not inside the croissant. Almond croissant has a very light filling inside and a lightly sweetened outside. Ham and cheese croissant was for the husband. My daughter asked for most of this one, it was her best pick of the lot. Cheese and ham flavors are mild in taste. Key Lime Pie: this is a full custard with notes of lime within the custard. Sometimes there are pies with a green tint due to a jelly like layer of lime filling included. This pie is cream in color. Cheese danish is lightly sweetened with a mild flavor. Show stopper for me was the strawberry croissant. The cream filling is light and deliciously sweet. The strawberries were fresh and very sweet as well. The pastry itself was less sweet but balanced the cream and berries perfectly. Made me want to try the mixed berry croissant as well as I imagine that one also being one of the sweetest croissants offered. Always love to see new spots coming to town! read more

They used a wet towel rag to wipe down serving tray and did not use any tissue to grab the croissant. Server used a single glove to grab the food and then kept it on to serve multiple customers and then proceeded to leave it on to text on his phone. I get the hype. I was on this side of town for an appointment on a weekday afternoon and thought I'd try my luck here, knowing my options may be limited that late in the day. But, it's worth the Saturday morning trip for these fresh out of the oven fruit danishes, croissants and quiche. Their hours may be listed in the late afternoon but fair warning, they may be out of several options by then. We thoroughly enjoyed our uber creamy quiche and fruit tarts. You'll find everything from rum croissants and raisin danishes to cream puffs and classic chocolate croissants. I was very impressed by how many types of pastries they're rolling out on a daily basis. You can easily find parking in the lot out front and then grab a spot in line. They've been open for a little over six months now and the secret is definitely out. Next time, we hope to get lucky and snag some of the strawberry croissants. Once again Le Croissant did an amazing job. This time it is the time and hospitality given a group of Yelpers on Saturday afternoon 7/09/22. Not only did the owner supply each with a box of some of the favorites of Le Croissant but Pedro, the owner shared his and his family's history of hard work and determination. The residents of Greenwood, Indianapolis and surrounding areas are blessed that Pedro decided to begin his bakery here. Of course, the long lines waiting to get in to purchase his works of art doesn't just happen. Pedro puts in nearly 20 hours a day to bring the community his treats. Some days he sells out of everything in just hours. Anything you can get in the case will not disappoint you. My favorites are the chocolate and rum almond croissants. After hearing people rave about this new French bakery, I had to investigate for myself. Word on the street is that there's usually a line out the door on Saturday mornings, so don't be surprised if they are out of several items when you stop in later in the day. I was also excited to visit after reading the owner's story in the IndyStar. Owner Pedro is so hardworking and talented -- just the type of person that you want to support. Originally from Mexico, he worked at a bakery in California, and then moved to Indy to be with his daughter, who encouraged him to flex his baking skills here. Le Croissant still has a temporary sign out front and is working on getting more tables and chairs to fit all their guests. Their glass cases of French pastries will make your mouth water, and you'll receive them on a tray our in a to-go box. Pedro told me that the rum almond croissant is one of his favorites, so I'll be sure to try that next time. This trip, I chose a fruit danish, fruit tart, plain croissant, and spinach/mushroom croissant. Everything I tried was worthy of 5-stars, with the fruit tart and spinach/mushroom croissant being my personal favorites. So light, fluffy, and amazing. I watched their team greet customers and create a special dessert for these young kids that always come in with their mom. I love when a business interacts with customers so happily and you can tell that every customer means the world to them. For $3-4 per baked item, it's totally worth the trip. While you're here, I highly recommend stopping by Root 2 Rise next door for a fresh-squeezed juice or smoothie, as well as Sisters Korean for a full Korean BBQ experience. This place is a gem on the southside of Indy with what could be the BEST fresh croissants in all of Marion county. Service was fast and very friendly, with the chief baker and owner, Pedro, coming out to greet us and ask us our favorites. This menu is the most extensive I've seen. They feature both sweet and savory; both croissant AND other delectable pastries. I am a danish girlie for sure and these danishes were so fresh and tasty, but the warmed up ham and cheese croissant is truly delicious - and stole the show today! Buttery, crispy, creamy, all in one. Sitting at the glass tables with bright morning sunlight streaming through the wide windows and shining on the greenery, Le Croissant made for a perfect Indiana morning. I would love to see this cafe put on some French music, and offer water or a few other drinks. It would really elevate them to the next level. This is a nice new pastry shop located in Greenwood. It is in a Vista Run Strip Mall. They have a moderate sized parking lot that it shares with the other businesses in the strip mall. They are currently not open on Sundays or Mondays. When I got there, they were packed. I mean packed, packed. The line wrapped around the shop and formed a square. The shop has a restroom available and a few tables that are socially distance spaced that you can sit and eat. There is a tv on a chair in the dining area, but it is hard to see due to the way it is positioned. They have a wide range of delicious pastries, including croissants, cookies, pies, scones, turnovers, quiche, bread loaves and danish. I waited about 35 minutes in line before I was able to order. When you are ordering, a guy puts the pastries of your choice on a try, then a woman or guy takes the pastries from the tray and box them up for you. Once they are packaged, you pay, then go. I got a mixed fruit danish, an almond croissant, a couple of strawberry croissants, and a cheese danish. They were delicious. Very tasty. Some of the best pastries that I have had in a while. I liked the Mixed fruit danish the best. It was very fresh. I highly recommend checking this joint out. You will not be disappoint. They are a master of their craft. I just wish that they sold drinks like, fruit juices, coffee, tea or hot chocolate to wash down the deliciousness. Also, be prepared to wait a bit, depending on the time of day you go. 100% delicious! This place lives up to the hype. I got here at 10am and there was already a huge line within the store. It isn't too bad of a wait but don't come here if you are in a rush. Despite the name there are a whole lot of other things besides croissants. I settled on a ham/cheese croissant that day and kept my chocolate croissant for the next day. These are the real deal and are just as good as the other best bakeries in town such as Amelia's in Fletcher Place and Rene's in Broad Ripple. I often don't have much of a reason to visit the south side but this gives me a lot more reasons to go. They are also temporary closed on Sundays.
