The $1500 cookware set that I bought for my sister last Christmas is garbage. The saute pan is already deteriorating and causing everything to burn and stick on the bottom. Additionally, every handle has an awkward shape that is difficult to grip and the stainless steel is annoyingly slippery. Save your money and get something a fraction of the cost. read more

The manager, Albert, really came through for us. Our Kitchenaid beater attachment kept coming apart. The Kitchenaid website wanted me to order a whole new set of basic attachments for $80. When we took our broken attachment to this WS, Albert found a new one in the back. He ended up just giving us the new attachment. We will keep returning to this location. read more

I guess we're in that demographic now :) Our entire kitchen was kitted out with IKEA plates and bowls for two decades. Then one day, my SO said "These don't look so good. We should replace them with real porcelain." So our journey began. Plates, bread plates, bowls,...everything. Along the way a few Le Creuset, a slow cooker. As I say, we're now in that demographic. I love cooking and I can find almost any cooking utensil I need at this store. Their selection of pans and appliances is incredible. Any kind of special pan for cooking they have. And they carry the finest appliances. I was looking for a good waffle iron. They sell All Clad, the Bently of all waffle makers. And they carry your Belgian waffle maker as well as the round waffle iron. And they carry a wide range of dishes and silverware. An incredible store. read more

I just walked into the store! The sales rep (older blond lady), runs up to me and yells loud enough for everyone in the whole store to hear her scream, "I cannot have dogs in this store! You have to leave.!" I gently told her no problem. I only came-in, after I saw customers with dogs walked out of her store with purchases. I also informed her that there's no sign that says dogs prohibited on the front of her store. Considering my animal is a service dog and I've never been kicked out of a Willoams - Sanona, I'd recommend them actually put some signage up and save us the customers the embarrassment of being yelled at. read more

Interesting when a store has wo yelp pages. Think about why that is... I recommend "0" stars. Eww, this is not going to be good... Health Department issue, customer service complaints. - Food knowingly being sold well past the expiration date. - The impolite manager "Robin" said with unpleasant forceful tone that it wasn't against the law to sell expired food. The company say's otherwise, but so far hasn't helped me. - 3 perishable food items were sold; two not dated, one almost two months past expiration date. - No offer of exchange or return was made. Instead they put me on hold for ten minutes or so. Called 2 complaint lines, three people and none could do anything to remedy the situation. Question.. did this really have to take an hour of my time? By the time this primary compliant is resolved, how much more of my time? - Even though I was willing to drive 30 minutes both ways in holiday traffic to exchange products/return, the curt woman manager was not receptive/responsive to it. - This is a food establishment. This WS Temecula store does not care one iota for public health. It's grotesque treatment. I have a feeling, the discourteous manager wasn't going to check the other tins for exchange because she knows they are all expired 9 ( just speculating). Contacted he company and filed a case. Soon, maybe within a week or so, we'll see how this company responded. In the meantime if you buy perishable food from Williams Sonoma companies - Pottery Barn, West Elm, Grandin Road, Rejuvenation, check cleanliness of store, and expirations dates. I sure would it if someone went to the ER because they bought spoiled food Christmas foods. Having said that... the customer swerve at World Market is fabulous. Great food gifts, and fun Christmas decor. They are located a couple of blocks from William Sonoma. As far as food expiration dates, I have never a problem there. I ordered an Oonie pizza oven table on Dec 6 for a Christmas gift. Product in store that I saw but I ordered for delivery. I have received 3 delivery updates for back order. At this point next update is back order-March. I ordered a rug from Pottery Barn and again a 4 month delivery. When I ordered it I was given a 21 day delivery. In reality I was never told it was a new product and 21 days turned into 4 months. I found a replacement within that time from another store. Question: do people really value companies like this that have a brand reputation but can't deliver their products? I'm shocked these 2 companies are still in business. I get special orders. Special Fabrics, sizes etc. But my items were sold as 'in stock'. Total mis representation of their delivery. Shame on you! read more

One of my female roommates went here 16 July 2019 to buy a wedding present. She told the female clerk "I want to buy a wedding present for two gay men". I love this store! I love kitchen tools. My mum always gets mad when I buy more because we have no room but I need them all *insert whining emoji* They always have some of the cutest things and some of the most simple but *have to have* things as well! Even if I have no money because I spent it all on food, I like wandering to see what they have and what's new (so I can remember to not be such a piggie and go out to eat so I can remember to save $) ! I always love the things they have in the store, I do not love the inconsistency of their employees. Some are super friendly and super helpful and some are just blatantly annoyed that you're there. I love this little Williams Sonoma. I have been in at least a dozen times this last year and have yet to walk out empty handed. I took off a star only because the store in more limited in offerings than some of the the others. Every experience there has been good and the employees have been more than helpful going out of the way to be helpful and give me ideas for cooking things. When I was in yesterday, one of the employees showed me some interesting things about the new Instant Pot I have and I am actually going to the Cookbook Club to take a class and learn some new kitchen tricks. Also it's very small.. it's more of a boutique type store, with pompous retail workers who act like they're working for Tom Ford or Hermès. (FYI I've had better service in both and I'm a nobody). Learn this pivotal lesson from other stores.. people are going to dress in workout clothes, or look straight up torn up, to simple AF.. and they're going to buy out the store. All it takes is that customer service, what type of customer service you say? Oh, the greeting.. the acknowledgment of ones existence the moment they cross your store doors.. the classic "May I help you?" Your retail workers were too damn old to be excused. Teenagers at Hot Topic have been nicer than you Karens at Williams, and I am not young either. Be better Williams Sonoma of El Paseo... you're not The Grove. Shop at the Palm Desert Williams-Sonoma at your own risk. No wonder Williams-Sonoma is closing stores. Went in to exchange a gift for a different color. It was new, unopened, had its tags, labels, W-S packaging. Perfect. Yet in the Age of Amazon with their customer-centric return policy, Williams-Sonoma said "No!" You need a "gift receipt!" Who would ever ask their giver for their receipt? It was a gift! So in practice W-S actually has a no return/no exchange policy. Terrible. They deserve go out of business. Warning: Shop here at your own risk. And of course, everything they sell is available for less at Bed, Bath & Behind or on Amazon. Grade F. read more

I saw a yellow Le Creuset saucepan online that was sold out, but that was a special piece for Mother's Day and went into the local store inquire about it. (This was a few months ago now, but I just used the pot again and was reminded to write the review!) The saleswoman was SO helpful, she checked the inventory of every WS in the US and found the LAST ONE! I didn't care about paying shipping, I was so happy to have my little yellow pot :) Thankfully it had gone clearance so I ended up paying less even with shipping. It makes me happy every time I walk by it on my shelf. read more

Came here to say what has apparently already been said. Rude customer service. Borderline non-existent. My wife and I went in to this store this past Saturday to purchase new pots, knives, and other various accessories. We were not greeted whatsoever. In fact they avoided eye-contact with us during our 10-15 minutes of browsing. We continued looking towards someone to come help answer our questions before our purchases but were ignored as they continued laughing and talking amongst themselves. I had first chalked this up to them giving us our space to browse. However, when another couple entered the store that couple was immediately greeted by multiple staff. They even went as far as to approach them and encourage those couples to "ask them anything they may need assistance with". Long after that couple left (which was about a minute at best) we were still browsing and still left unattended. We have purchased from these stores (in other areas) several times before and were never ignored and treated with this much disrespect. If you want to work in the field of sales and customer service make sure to attend to all customers that walk in the door, not simply the ones you think are easy sales. I feel the only thing holding up this particular store is its name. read more

No Stars.... Ruined my Thanksgiving. Ordered their Martha Stewart whole turkey dinner. I work the holidays and I'm a single mother of 5. We always celebrate the holiday Tuesday before thanksgiving. Today is Tuesday and NO Dinner!!!! Their website promised delivery for the 24-25th and my guests are arriving any minute and no thanksgiving dinner. Customer service will do nothing. Williams-Sonoma is, in general, my favorite place to buy cooking items. Although on the pricier side, you get quality service and product...usually. I had a terrible experience while visiting the El Paseo location in Palm Desert, CA. I purchased cookware from a very helpful blonde woman, but I had to return it due to faulty manufacturing issues. I had my receipt and it was within the time period allowed for full refund. However, a red-haired woman working there was SO rude to me about returning the set, that I have never gone back to that location. It was like she took it personally that I was returning the set and she kept insisting that I was just using the cookware wrong and it was my problem. She actually rolled her eyes multiple times when I nicely explained my problem with them. Customers in the store were looking at her because she was so rude to me, and then giving me the "poor you" face. My only regret is that I didn't say something to her to address her rudeness. So I thought I'd at least write it, so that perhaps management can be aware. I opted not to exchange at this store because the lady made me feel so bad. I instead went and purchased my new All-Clad set from a delightful saleperson at Williams-Sonoma in Los Angeles. I've been using it ever since! read more

I can't say much about this store. The inventory is typical of any Williams Sonoma and you can find a majority of the pieces online. I honestly love to browse during the holiday months to experience the warmth of the season, but I can't say that it is joyful any longer at this store. My husband and I had registered here for our wedding and I definitely regret it. The staff is unfriendly and you are frowned upon if you don't appear to be making a major sale. "Browsing the bargain bins" is looked down upon. Choosing to go the extra mile to be helpful to every customer is the only way to gain their loyalty and build a potential lifelong relationship. Unfortunately, our family will no longer be shopping at this Williams Sonoma and I highly recommend shopping online. read more

I bought some Oven Baked Risotto for my husband for Xmas. He was reading the container and the expiration date was February 2017. I bought it in December. Why is it still on the shelf? Also be aware when they have the mythical 75%off sales there is nothing that is 75% off! I asked why they had the sign saying that and the clerk told me that they "had to put it up" but nothing was on sale at that reduction. Often the people working there are not trained. One man told me that the item I wanted was not porcelain because porcelain is so fragile. It was a porcelain mortar and pestle. . I told him that toilets are porcelain and they don't just breaking you use them. He was stunned to find that out. I think he had only heard of teacups. read more

Sadly, we experienced terrible customer service at this location. We purchased several items during the holidays for ourselves and for family members as Christmas presents. The service started out as mediocre, at best -- not good, by any means. But, we understood the lack of customer service since it was the holidays and the store was busy. Waited 20-30 minutes most days for assistance, and that was with effort. I experienced the same issues when shopping at this location during the holidays last year so I expected it. I'm guessing that additional seasonal staff was hired to help out during the holidays because they weren't able to answer even basic product questions and knew very little about items that they carried. We ended up leaving and researching our inquiries on the Internet so that we could return to the store and buy the item(s) without asking any questions. Again, we understood because shopping during the holidays is generally difficult at this location. Unfortunately, we received the worst customer service I've ever experienced when trying to exchange an unused item after the holidays -- when the store was practically empty. Found the sales clerk to be defensive, argumentative, and impolite. So, we ended up returning the item instead of exchanging it. Really disappointing, but it wasn't worth spending another minute with this sales clerk. Will never shop at this location again. read more
