I was doing a quick trip down to Columbus for one night and needed a place to stay. I didn't want or need anything fancy, and was trying to avoid the traffic from the OSU football game. I found Red Roof Inn Plus in Dublin as they had the most competitive price and location for what I needed. The hotel is tucked away off Post street, and pulling in, I drove right to the office. It was clean and neat, and the lady who checked me in was very professional and walked me through the check in procedure. She even called my room to see how I was doing! I love it! The hotel and room itself is set up like every other Red Roof I've been too, so there's nothing different there. Room was in good working order and my one nights stay was relaxing and quiet. While it's not the fanciest hotel in the area, it's super close to what I needed to do and see for the evening. My only complaint is the one ply toilet paper that was in the bathroom. Can we upgrade to something better please? They do have Seattle's Best coffee in the rooms which was fabulous, along with a fridge and microwave if needed. I stored my waters in the fridge overnight and really didn't need to use the microwave. Would stay here again if I needed to be in Dublin. read more

We stayed in room 223 on arrival found someone's dirty shoes by bed and other miscellaneous items asked for clean room couldn't happen.. ok then fast forward we had to leave middle reservation as I woke up to bites all over me and to my surprise bed bug underneath me contacted front office just for them to say manager will contact us which took two days for Debra just to call us liar even though we have picture proof. States well we had other guest there with no problem i am covered in bites refused to take any accountability just calling s liars with all the proof even asked front desk to come take a look we left dead ones on the bed!!! read more

I'm not sure why this is a Red Roof "plus". I have no complaints. I paid a little over $40 before taxes on a Priceline Express deal. The room is fine but there are no extras. No sugar for your coffee, you get a little pack of Kleenex (I'm sick so thats a bummer) the TP is undesirable. There is a mini fridge, micro, iron and a safe. Water in the shower was hot and there are a ton of restaurants near by. About 15 out of downtown Columbus. I'd give it a 5th star for the price range if there was breakfast. There is a Barry bagel nearby though so I'm happy. read more

I only stayed here one night so I can't say a whole lot about this particular Red Roof. Whenever I go out of town with anyone we usually stay at a Red Roof because they are in our budget and I've been satisfied with all of them. This one in particular is probably my favorite location. It is far from the highway so you don't have to worry about the noise. The room itself was very clean and roomy. It was a good stay for my one night stay. Red Roof Inn never disappoints. read more

The first shift and second shift clerks were nice and were helpful. For the most part the room was clean. Except for the bathtub. It was dirty and needed a deep clean. It actually looked gross. My real issue came when I got back on a Friday evening at about 8p. It was already dark outside. The lights in the stairwell to go up to the second floor were broken or out for whatever reason. Standing against the wall at the bottom of the stairs in the dark was a character that didn't look like he was up to any good. He dressed like a thug. I got out of my car and just stared at him to let him know that I knew he was there and was watching him. After about a minute, he walked away around the corner. One reason I shoes not to approach first was because it would have required me to turn my back to him to start and go up to the second level. I know the hotel cannot discriminate on who it allows to stay here but there were a few shady characters staying at this hotel overall. I also saw a first here. A car had a long cable locked from the rim to the handicap parking sign. I have never seen an anti theft device like this for a car before. The next time I come into town, I doubt I will stay here again. I thought I would save a few dollars and stayed here. I thought since it was Dublin, it would be safe. That wasn't the case. read more

Stayed here last night to go to the zoo and waterpark with our family first I do have to say the room was clean BUT we got around 2 hours of sleep because of the people partying outside below us and the people beside us had people Knocking on there door all night long it was horrible it was probably 5 am before things finally got quiet and we had to be up at 7 plus we had children with us ans they was scared because of all the comotion so if you are looking for a hotel that allows you to party all night in the parking lot then this is the place for you,we however will never book a room here again ! read more

What am I even comparing this to?? I'm here because my cat is sick and I needed to bring him. There aren't many pet friendly hotels. Pros: 1) location- this is a nice area, across from a place that sells used Rolls Royces and Bugattis 2) cheap- $70 3) close to the parkway 4) nice staff 5) room looks recently updated and is clean, bed and pillows are comfortable enough 6) they don't charge extra for your pet, how nice is that?!? 7) strong Wi-Fi signal 8) microwave and refrigerator Cons: 1) tiny room, not much larger than the bed 2) no tissues, toilet paper like sand paper, cheap cheap or non-existent basic amenities 3) the first room reeked of smoke and chemicals, even though this is a "smoke-free" motel, the room was near a "designated smoking area" which doesn't work if you have asthma and can't breathe! 4) no elevator to bring your stuff to the second floor, that was a pain since we had a lot to haul upstairs 5) breakfast not included unlike most Quality Inn type motels 6) water for shower starts off freezing and has one other setting- hot enough to use for tea 7) refrigerator is really loud Would I stay here again? If I had a pet, sure. If I didn't, I would spend more and stay somewhere nicer but this was much better than what I had expected. (If this is a Red Roof PLUS+, what the heck is a plain Red Roof like? We needed a place to stay while in town visiting the Columbus Zoo and COSI. We found this motel to be a very pleasant surprise. The room was clean and quiet. We did spring for the premium room, so it was a little bigger than the others. We found the staff to be super friendly and helpful. It is close to plenty to eat and a just about 15 min from the Zoo. Bottom line: Great location. Good clean rooms. Great customer service. All it needs is a pool! read more

I would leave no stars if that was a thing. The room was filthy. Greasy hand prints on everything including the headboard. Dead bugs around the perimeter of the room. Bed covers were really dirty on both beds. White hand prints on chair and desk. And to top it all off the floor was super sticky. So gross. read more

The staff and management at Reed Roof Inn Dublin are truly amazing. Every single employee and especially the manager were so kind, patient, accommodating and helpful during my long term stay. They get to know their guest on a individual basis while remaining professional to meet and exceed each guests needs. Don't listen to the old reviews, Red Roof Inn is now Red Roof PLUS+ and Red Roof PLUS+ is the BEST! My husband and I stayed over at this location last night while on a cross-country move from NY back to CO. The new rooms are so clean and fresh, and the modern look is perfect! We stayed at another Red Roof PLUS+ in NJ earlier this year, so when we saw this one was available along our route, we immediately grabbed a room. About our stay: We needed to park our RV in the parking lot and they were very accommodating. We also wanted to have a room near our RV, and made sure we got one. They didn't have a premium room (what we asked for) available in that area of the building, so we chose a superior room by the RV, and though they only charged us the superior room price, we still got our premium room snack box! Very thoughtful and kind of them. We will definitely stay here again should we ever need a room in the area. Love, love, LOVE these new rooms!! Red Roof Plus+ is definitely my new favorite budget-friendly chain. read more

It was very pleased with my stay here. We were upgraded to a premium​ room upon check in which included a nice snack box and an ADA accessable room. The room was very clean and the bed was very soft. There were plenty of pillows and I had a great night's sleep. The shower was hot and good water pressure. I would stay here again! read more

We(my kids and I) stayed at this hotel during football camp. The room was clean and fresh. Bathroom was clean and in working order. front desk was not available at the time I arrived but did come in shortly after. It appeared as though she was the only one of staff at the time. I really like the new flooring. I liked the long cabinet which housed a desk, dresser, mini fridge and microwave. the laundry/housekeeping is in the main stairwell so we had to pass them constantly. I am glad Red Roof changed their decor. Downside-no pool no specific place for breakfast. There was a room set up for the football players to eat but we has our own food in room. read more

As someone who doesn't frequent Red Roof Inns (I'm a Hampton Inn and above kind of girl), I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this room on Hotwire. I'll be the first to admit that I have very high standards when it comes to hotels. When I pulled in the parking lot, I was a little uneasy. The parking lot wasn't very well lit and the lobby to check in was little more than a tiny vestibule. The gentleman working the counter was a little over-enthusiastic, but kind enough. My room was on the second floor and thanks to the clear directions from the employee at the desk, I was able to find it. The stairs were a little creepy (it was dark) and when I opened my door, I was assaulted with the smell of industrial cleaners. This can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it. At least my room has been cleaned, but did the chemical stench cover up a sub-par cleaning job? Who knows. The room was clean and serviceable. I didn't feel uneasy walking barefoot in the floor, which is a litmus test for this germaphobe. The cable tv was acceptable as well. I really don't have any major complaints, especially given the price I paid per night. My stay was...adequate. That's about all I can say for my two nights at the Red Roof+. read more

My boyfriend and I got into Columbus-Dublin extremely late in the night, and decided to stay at the Red Roof Inn. The lady at the counter was super nice, and even gave him a nice Law Enforcement discount. We were instantly upgraded to a premium deluxe room, which was very comfortable. Car enthusiast or not, you have to check out The Toy Barn right across the street, for a great look at beautiful vehicles. read more

Our room was clean and comfortable. Very small room but we didn't mind. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was well maintained. We turned the fan on to have some background noise through the night. It has it's moments of odd noises but nothing that ruined the night. Overall great experience. Would stay here again. read more

I downloaded Yelp just so I could leave a review on this place. If I could give no stars, I would. I travel for work and I've been to several hotels in several states. Never have I experienced something like this with the owner or manager of any other hotel. My experience here was unpleasant. The manager of the establishment is very stuck up, rude, and I'm almost sure she's racist. She's very unprofessional and basically screamed in my face. Another friend of mine has been staying there as a guest in a resident's room and says she has also been harassed for nearly two weeks by this woman, who comes to her room daily and asks her why she's there, who she is, etc. The only time I see her or hear of her, she's using intimidation tactics on me or other people. I usually don't go out of my way to leave reviews, especially bad ones, but the way I was treated here was honestly unacceptable, especially for an establishment that's supposed to provide hospitality. There's SEVERAL hotels to choose from about a 10 minute drive away from this one, trust me when I say you should just book elsewhere. read more

Stayed here for 1 night in a room on the first floor. Any liking for this hotel was promptly shut down after walking into the room... I was overwhelmed by a nasty nasty NASTY smell. I was unable to identify the smell - maybe it was a cross between a wet dog and mold? Kept the door open for a while, but even then... the stench remained. read more

This place is disgusting. The guy at the desk was a moron and was the least helpful person I've ever dealt with. We got into the room, and noticed the cops at the room a few doors down and thought "oh great." We only had to spend the night to we ignored it and went into our AWFUL room. The place stunk and was so dirty we slept on top of the sheets with our own blankets. We turned the TV on, which showed 26 channels of static. When I looked at it, the cable to the wall was frayed and barely hanging together. The thug at the front desk told us it was the weather, which it wasn't because there was nothing happening, and refused to do anything about it. I stayed in a Red Roof Inn the night prior in Syracuse, NY and it was awesome. Great company, but this one falls WAY short of standards in any hotel. Absolutely appalling. read more

If I wanted to smell like a bar I would have slept in one. My sister and I came here for a wedding, we booked a room with 2 beds and for NON SMOKING. When we arrived we were given a smoking room, which we didn't know until we opened the door to the room. It wreaked so bad we were gagging non stop but we didn't want to be difficult so we tried to deal with it but 10 minutes and we both felt ill. When we went to the front desk to tell them they gave us a smoking room when we specifically paid for a non smoking room they did nothing to remedy the situation. All the non smoking rooms were booked and we were stuck. AWESOME! We had to suffer for 2 days in that mess, we weren't offered an apology or a discount or anything and it wasn't even our mistake. Our wedding clothes smelled of smoke, the beds smelled of smoke so all night I am inhaling stagnant smoke from the bed sheets which in the morning made me feel hoarse and sick, not to mention it was hard to get to sleep because of it too. It was disgusting. If you offer smoking rooms you should at LEAST clean them up and get rid of the scent, I used to be a smoker and I KNOW it's possible to get rid of that smell but they didn't do anything to make their smoking rooms seem clean at all. Just because someone smokes doesn't mean they want to sleep in a putrid smelling room so even if I were currently still smoking, I'd be pretty pissed about the disgusting layers upon layers of stench. I am pretty mad about the situation because all of our things smelled of smoke and it made my car then smell like it too and we got nothing for their mistake. read more

Rooms were extremely small, and smelled awful, bugs all over the floor, dirty showers, and the service was TERRIBLE!! The big lady who worked at the front desk was extremely rude to my children and their friends. I sent one of my kids and her friend to throw away some grocery bags with garbage in them and the woman at the front desk came out side and callled them "disrespectful" and told them to take their garbage somewhere else. as my daughter went back to grab the garbage OUT OF THE TRASH CAN the women continued to yell at her. The next night my son and his baseball team wanted some snacks so they went to the vending machines out front of the building (mind you, there are no rooms anywhere near the vending machines) they weren't making a lot of noise or starting trouble, just simply getting snacks. When the lady from the front desk came outside and told them to go back to their rooms because it was "too late for kids to be out" my son and his friends replied with "we are 18 and were just grabbing some snacks and we're gonna head back" she then said "do not talk to me like that or i will have u removed from the property." My kids finished getting snacks and left as the women continued to threaten them. Extremely rude, and dirty rooms. Do not recommend. read more

We would normally not stay at a Red Roof Inn...but after reading the reviews we decided to give them a try. We walked into a VERY CLEAN newly updated room!!! I stayed at the Red Roof in Dublin OH over the last weekend. I was very disappointed. The room smelled of overpowering deodorizer and the longer we stayed in the room the more we could tell that it was to cover the smell of stale cigarette smoke that was still coming through (even though the room was supposedly non-smoking). All my clothes and my luggage reeked of this deodorant/cigarette smell after I got home. We found a half-eaten Burger King salad in the fridge, and empty cookie bags along with a pile of cookie crumbs in the nightstand drawer. There were urine spots (they were yellow) on the toilet seat and I watched the housekeeping man on Saturday morning carry a load of clean, folded towels to his cart on the second floor. He put them on the cart and they fell over onto the dirty wood railing and concrete sidewalk. He just picked them up and put them back on the cart with the rest of the clean towels destined for someone's room. I certainly won't be going back. read more
