After being their loyal customer for 5 years, I think this is my favorite (and the best) nail salon. I always have Nicole takes care of my nails. Nicole and Elaine are awesome. First of all, they use quality products and treat my hands gently. For example, they wrap each finger individually with aluminum foil paper and just the nails part, unlike other places that wrap your whole hands, which really bad for hand skin (although it saves time removing your old nails). Nicole always takes her time on each of my nails. She knows my nails so well that she make sure to apply double top coat for my nails every time. My nails last 3-4 weeks. Egh. Everyone was nice and the place is clean and that's the only reason why I'm leaving 2 stars. Called in advance and was told $35 for a gel pedi over the phone. As she's doing my nails I asked again and now she says it's $40. Ummm ok. While she's doing my pedi, whatever she's doing to one foot she's not doing on the other foot. I got a japanese manicure here and the nail technician was great. she was thorough and made sure I had some nice nails. It was around $40ish but the manicure lasted me over 1 month!!!!!!!! I have the most beautiful nails for 1 month. They never chipped!!!! Honestly because the manicure can last so long, it is so worth it!!! Even though I live in Long Beach it's like 40 mins to drive, it doesn't matter this is my favorite and only place to get my nails done. I love this place so much. They're really really nice and professional. I like long nails even though it's really long my nails never got broken. I'll keep the nails as long as I can usually like 4 weeks because it's really pretty! I don't want to change it lol, and also my coworkers always always ask me "where did you get your nails done", every single time when I get my new nails done they would ask me. THIS PLACE IS SO AWESOME! I found this place as I was searching for a place to go near my bf's house on the weekends (I am not from this area) and WOW I am so glad I did! I was looking for a type of manicure that I could do on my natural nail and I am now in love with their "Japanese gel" manicure. I have previously tried dip powder, regular gel, acrylic, etc and I always end up chipping corners and breaking nails. I have a job that is hard on my hands and I need a VERY durable manicure. Japanese gel is definitely it! They do a great job! The colors are amazing and they do some awesome nail art. Some of their designs are so intricate that I have had people not believe they were hand painted! I've seen a few people comment on the fact that they only take appts. Personally I see this as a huge positive. I have rarely been to a nail place where I didn't feel like they were rushing me out to get the next person in. That is not the case at Le Muse. They take their time and make sure your nails are done how you want them. I have had my nails done by both Nicole and Elaine and they both do fantastic work. They could be more detailed on pedicures as my calluses were still prominent the last time I was there and ended with an ingrown toenail as they didn't clean around the nail bed as well so I gave them 4 stars. The owner is beyond sweet and she offered me something to drink. She was very gentle with me since I told her my nails were very sensitive. Elaine is great, nice and patient. First time I had with her, 2nd time I called to make appointment with her, by the time when I am there, she is busy, so her coworker ( the only other younger girl who is working there) took over my nail. Then the disaster happened. I picked a cat design, first, she did the 4 finger "sharp cat nail" backwards. Second, she got mad because I was asking nicely, if she can redo the cat tail and the cat eyes. (Because she is shaky with her drawing skills) Basically she just refused to keep working, and I had to wait for Elaine. The 2nd day after the nail job, two of the nail colors fall off my nails, the third one broken. (Some of the nail color was colored under my nails, so it peels off the edge of my nails when I washed my hands) The most important of all, I do not like her attitude towards me, it is OK that her skill is not good, but at least act polite. read more

On our search again for the best nail salon. This time, my girlfriend and I decided to try Le Muse. We saw that they have these nice blue "princess chairs" for your pedicure (they look like thrones positioned a step higher than the rest of the salon). They were also running a special until the end of February. She called in to make an appointment at 1pm for a Saturday. We arrived on time just to find out they took down our appointment time wrong. They thought we scheduled for 11am. They didn't bother to call us at 11am to confirm, but even if they did, my friend noticed they took down her phone number wrong as well. They don't speak English well, so I'm sure that's how everything was miscommunicated. There's only 2 ladies working, but since they overbooked us, only 1 of them could work on us at a time. My friend got her pedicure first in above mentioned "princess chair" and it turned out nice. Being that the salon was still relatively new, they didn't have that many nail polish colors to choose from. I settled with a light glittery blue gray shade, which turned out just okay. The lady, though, was careful and took her time with my pedi. I felt relaxed and pampered afterwards. With the special they're running, our pedis costed only $15 each. We wanted to do manis afterwards, but sadly they had another appointment coming in. Overall, the storefront is nice and clean and they do a pretty good job. Will we be back? Probably not anytime soon. But I wish them the best of luck in their new business! read more

A young lady named Nicole worked on my pedicure the first time I went there and she was so gentle and detailed! I was so impressed I went back again for a manicure using Japanese gel. Since I'm pregnant it was important that I'm using products that are not harmful to expectant moms, and the owner was able to explain to me the benefits and harms of each type of nail polish. The worst is acrylic powder, which I did not intend to use anyways, and japanese gel is made from organic ingredients which is most suitable for my situation. I intended to get form extensions (not glue on tips) and the owner recommended me to just use regular gels instead because the form extension is very dusty and it's not good to breathe in my system. That's very thoughtful of her. The prices are a bit higher, you are paying for better products, you get what you pay for. I will probably be back again for some nail design. read more
