Amazing service, attentive and helpful waitstaff. Beautifully decorated and not cramped the way some small diners can be. It has plenty of room while retaining a small family diner feel. The food was hot and expertly prepared with what one could tell was care and attention to detail. It was also a great value for the price paid. The portions were quite generous without being grossly overwhelming as can often be the case with smaller restaurants. Overall I gave this restaurant 5 stars because it checks all the boxes for a comfortable, enjoyable and filling experience. We went there for breakfast today. We had heard they had a killer coffee bar and great b-food. I don't normally get flavored cappuccinos but today a mocha sounded good. The espresso tasted pretty good once I got past all the goop (whipped topping) on top. It made it difficult to drink without getting whipped cream on your face. It wasn't very hot though and I didn't finish it. I ordered the farmhouse eggs Benedict. They were kind enough to replace the sausage patties with ham. The ham was pretty ok. Where I ran into difficult was the very under done poached eggs. The whites were barely cooked and in some areas still clear. Once I saw that I couldn't finish. They took $5 off the bill. I feel like they should have taken the price of the whole dish off because it was inedible and I barely ate any of it. We won't be back. read more

We have had several good dining experiences here, but today's was just fantastic. My toddler has food allergies and we sometimes get mixed responses when we ask about ingredients in the menu items. However, Le Peep went above and beyond to check ingredients and assure us that they could prepare items safely. Everyone there was courteous. I absolutely love Le Peep! My fiancé and I come here every Sunday for brunch and we always leave happy. Their hazelnut flavored coffee is the best in Omaha and their pumpkin pecan pancakes are to die for (only served in the fall). The service is always great. The only thing that bothers me about Le Peep is the lack of substitutions. On some of their items, it's an English muffin on the side or nothing. My brother has celiac disease and can't tolerate gluten and I know he gets very frustrated with Le Peep and how they won't let him substitute fruit for the English muffin. I am now having to go gluten free also and I experienced the same problem today as well. If you aren't going to let us substitute, at least have an Ezekiel bread English muffin or a gluten free alternative so we are getting our money's worth. If Le Peep did that, I'd give them 5 stars without a doubt. read more

I am a fan, yes indeed. This is kind of our Sunday spot. I have yet to have a mediocre meal. The coffee is hot and yummy and they have flavored choices, which are unique. And I love having my very own pot...no waiting for your waitress to bring her's back around to warm up your cup! The menu choices can be a bit overwhelming, but I've tried quiet a few. The pancakes are fab! Specifically try the granola blue cakes....holy moly! Omelets are wonderful and the veggies are fresh, which is a big deal for me. You must try the gooey buns....it is this concoction of cream cheese, cinnamon/sugar and silvered almonds on top of English muffins. A must if you go! Oh, and the breakfast banana split which is lots of fresh fruit and yogurt......awesome. I would recommend being prepared to wait on the weekends if you aren't an early riser. I have been here a handful of times in the past and I must admit I always enjoyed it well enough. (3.5 stars maybe) We went for brunch on a weekday and to say I was dissatisfied would be an understatement. I asked the server what she recommends and she actually said the two things we were looking at. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage. The sausage were part of a giant link that was cut into smaller pieces. The rest of the filling seemed to be dried up, leftovers from the kitchen that they shoved into the burrito, including eggs, and potatoes. It was covered in cheese and "pork" green chili sauce. The "pork" was these hard cubes of mystery meat. Gross. The whole entire thing was totally devoid of flavor. My husband had the Migas, which was basically eggs on top of tortilla chips with a bunch of other Mexican ingredients put on top. It too was mediocre at best and devoid of flavor. My other big issue with this place is the way they serve their coffee and soda. They bring you a carafe so you can refill yourself. This is terrible for soda because it sits in that thing and gets watered down and the coffee sits and is never hot, but lukewarm at best. To me, this simply allows your servers to be lazy. It's not difficult to swing by with the hot pot of coffee and refill me a couple times, or come by and give a fresh glass of soda not filled to the brim with ice. Plus it makes them more available in case you need something else, instead of standing in the back or on the side of the dining room twiddling their thumbs. We will not be coming back here and I will not recommend it to anyone. There are too many great places around Omaha that serve brunch to settle for this crap. read more

The food was Delicious!! But 64$ plus 13$ tip seemed a little too much for just a regular breakfast. We wanted to try something new so instead of going to The Egg &I or Jimmy's egg we decided to come here. My daughter and I both got a Lumberjack, my youngest a waffle with fruit and my husband eggs, ham and hash browns with French toast. Nothing special. No special coffee. I went to Le Peep on a Saturday for lunch. The atmosphere is nice, and I really like the carafe of extra soda they provide, as well as the little pots of coffee they leave at the table. My wife's sandwich looked good, but I was really disappointed in my food. I'm a big fan of breakfast, and it was pretty heartbreaking to have such a bland, tasteless experience. From the omelet to the bacon to the cheap tasting coffee to the potatoes that were lazily undercooked. The one piece of food I truly enjoyed was the wheat toast. That...I really liked. I'll go back because it's a nice place to eat. Maybe next time I'll try one of their sandwiches. read more

The place was packed, but we didn't have to wait for a table - we did, however, have to wait quite awhile for our food. I wasn't crazy about the choice of a chain restaurant for brunch, but I actually enjoyed just about everything about this place. I had one of the skillet dishes - something with gravy. I had lunch here for the first time today with a friend. The place was clean and the service prompt. I got the bacon cheeseburger, and while the bun was perfectly toasted the burger was well-done (they didn't ask me if I wanted it well-done, which I didn't), the onions, lettuce, and tomatoes for the burger were past their prime, and the small handful of fries that came with were cold when I got them. The meal was $9.50. For that price, go to Culver's up the street and get a basket meal: you'll be much more satisfied with the price and quality. read more

I had one really good meal and one disappointing meal. The disappointing meal was canceled out by my company, And that we were left alone to talk for almost 3 hours on a busy Sunday. When the food is good it can be great. I had some yummy soup, it was a cream based soup, potato and bacon. Nice big chunks of potato and the bacon wasn't too salty. My sandwich was good, more than I could eat. I was disappointed in the French Toast, it was rather bland, nothing special. The "sassy apples" tasted like they came out of a can, and they were cold. Very unimpressive and not tasty. My friend said the White Lightening Omelet was really good. The coffee is ok, I have gotten the hazelnut both times. Maybe I should try some of the other drinks besides just coffee. Because they were so awesome when we just wanted to sit and chat I will come back. Le Peep is hands down one of my favorite breakfast spots. Between the dainty French like decor, and the cute carafes of lemon water you don't feel like you are smack dab in the middle of the Midwest. It gets very crowded for breakfast, especially on weekends, but it is worth it. Their breakfast menu is standard, and they offer a few specialty drinks like iced coffees with whipped cream if you would like something a little different. Service is usually good. The only thing that can be tricky is paying at the cash register and incoming and outgoing traffic gets crowded at the doorway. All in all, Le Peep for the win! read more

Christmas Eve breakfast here was the worst choice of my visit in Omaha. First time eating here I got food poising. I got the "Dawn Breaker" with out cheese with a side of fruit and sourdough. Water to drink. I'm positive those mushrooms were outdated. Would never go here again. If they aren't performing well during widely known heavy business days, I couldn't imagine eating here on a topical Sunday morning. Hope they get it together. I really wanted to like this place, really. On occasion I get an urge to have eggs and meat for a meal other than breakfast sooooo having read the blurbs and heard the hype I stopped at Le Peep around noon today and had bacon and eggs. The eggs were over easy as I ordered them and totally and completely unremarkable (think Village Inn or IHOP on a not particularly good day). The BACON???? 2 shriveled slices of generic Supermarket crap. I ordered my milk WITH the meal so of course it came immediately so even the small ice cold pleasure i asked for was less so when my meal arrived. The potatoes were rubbery and warm, well seasoned but RUBBERY AND WARM. With Bailey's 20 minutes away I'm amazed Le Peep is even still in business. One of the mysteries of dining out is why people wait in line on Sunday's at Le Peep. Potatoes taste of being frozen and are soggy lumps. I love potatoes with eggs, so this is important to me. Orange juice must be out of a can. I have been here over five times because it is close and people I am with suggested it. But, I have started saying no. There are too many other good choices for breakfast--even Hy Vee is far better at a much lower price. I live really close by to this restaurant and for 2 1/2 years had never been here. We went on a Saturday morning and did not have to wait for a table. The place is decorated in a very homey style and the service is really good. The menu is very complete for a breakfast and lunch restaurant and they have some pretty sweet deals and specials! I decided to have a plate called Migas that is kind of a breakfast nachos plate. It was very good and came with beans. John had stuffed French toast which he says was stuffed with a creamy filling and some type of fruit which he things with strawberry. He also had a side of sausage that I think brought three. He had a Earl Grey tea(like an old old man) and I have coffee, which was pretty good. They serve the very fancy hot chocolates and frothy drinks in nice mugs. I think kids would really like this place or older folks too. It is very laid back and has good food. Noise level is not loud. Lots of parking. read more

We will never go to this place again or recommend it. We gave them a second chance after one bad experience and the second time was even worse! They have kids working up front who are unprofessional and know nothing about proper business etiquette. Our silverware and glasses were filthy and the food was soggy and burnt. This is far from "the best breakfast in the world" as they claim. In addition all other restaurants will substitute fruit instead of muffin or pancake for those with celiac but they refused so you are paying for something that you can't even eat. Le Peep serves American style breakfast and brunch type food. The restaurant is open all 7 days of the week, from 6:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Casual attire is recommended when dining at the restaurant, and kids are welcome- the fun kid's menu with favorites like the "Happy Face Pancake" are sure to please even the pickiest eaters. Entrees start at $11.00 and can go up to $30.00. Le Peep has an average noise level, although the smaller restaurant can fill with voices quickly. It can certainly be a little tight to maneuver around the restaurant. Le Peep has homey decor that gives the place a cozy, welcoming feel. I went to Le Peep on a Sunday, sometime in November. It was right after my basketball game, so it was around 12:00. My grandparents were in town and had watched my game, so they decided to take my family and I out to lunch. We chose Le Peep. No big deal, although the entry of the restaurant felt a little cramped, so we waited outside in the sunshine. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food took a decent amount of time to arrive, and it looked and smelled so heavenly that I dug in before the waiter was even finished serving my brother his food. The french toast was amazing, it had a sort of pumpkin batter on it and the inside was filled with a pumpkin cream cheese filling. Yum! Le Peep is definitely one of my favorite restaurants, they serve comfort food in a comfortable atmosphere. The food is always so tasty (I've been to Le Peep more times than I can count), but I should mention that I've never really gotten a savory entree off the menu, I prefer their sweet breakfast confections. The portion sizes are great, just the right amount of food so you can leave feeling good and not guilty with yourself for eating a gigantic serving. Le Peep is also reasonably priced. The cozy and friendly atmosphere is what makes it fun to eat at Le Peep. The farmhouse-style decor and the fact that the building itself is pretty small, is what makes it feel welcoming. Although a smaller restaurant means it's busier and packed with more people, Le Peep's staff is pretty used to accommodating lots of patrons. Le Peep is also located in very convenient areas, at least for me. There's a Le Peep close to my basketball games and fairly close to my house. There also is a Le Peep right by my old church, and my family and I used to eat there almost every other Sunday. In my opinion, Le Peep earns a 9/10. It's a great restaurant that serves delectable food and has a family-friendly atmosphere that delivers a pleasant time. The prices are more than fair for the serving received. Le Peep isn't for the elaborate palette, the restaurant serves more comfort, homestyle dishes. People who consider themselves sophisticated, cultured beings would most likely not enjoy eating at Le Peep. I would recommend Le Peep to families, especially with kids that are picky because it's not everyday that they get to have dessert-type foods for breakfast or lunch. We just left Le Peep on Wright St. in Omaha. We bought a $10.00 Daily Deal Omaha for $20.00 Worth of Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch. When we went to pay the bill they would not accept this and told us that it had expired, although there was no expiration date on "The Deal." Another time we were there and told the owner that we were there the previous week and forgot to have the punch card punched and would they punch our punch card one punch and the owner said "NO." How much business do you think this will cost them over the years. Needless to say we will never be back to Le PeeP!! read more

My sister and I went to Le Peep in west Omaha, she has gone there for years and lives near by. She ordered corned beef hash-extra crispy- and what she got was not crispy at all. she asked the waitress to return it and ask if they could crisp it up... she returned with the hash stating that the chef said he could not crisp hash. She asked that the waitress inform the manager since she new that it could be done, but ate her breakfast. The manager came over and said that his family owned the restaurant and that they cooked 'old fashioned meals and that the chef could not make corned beef hash crisp', does he know it is a franchise? My sister did not want to argue over this and just nodded saying okay fine. Then he came back and said that next time he would make sure it was crisp (?) why not this time then? Then she asked if they were going to have gluten free pancakes or waffles in the future (I have a severe allergy to gluten). He laughed and said that they do not follow 'fads' and that they are not in California where every one and their brother has an allergy and 'fake' problems that everyone buys into. I am from California, but I did not comment knowing it would do no good to try and enlighten him and that they served lattes (another fad?) or that there are children and people of all walks of life that have an allergy to gluten. We then saw him approach another customer and argue with them! What a putz, good thing his parents own the place I cannot imagine anyone hiring this idiot! My mother and I are quite the foodies... We went to this establishment today it was nicely decorated... We ordered our food it was 4 dollars for about 7 bites of salad ..... My mom ordered some type of skillet I had pancakes with bacon and eggs and peasant potatoes. .. Our food arrived in a timely manner .... The potatoes were hard as rocks cold and had no flavor .... My mother ate two bites we alerted the waitress as to just how disappointing the food was and the waitress let the boss know who could have clearly cared less .... Apparently she feels no need to even attempt customer retention nearly 40$ for food we couldn't even eat ..... I will NEVER attempt to eat here again .... I will also make sure that no one I know spends there hard earned money for food they cant even eat .... And... To pay the check of a Female Manager who has no customer service skills at all.....
