Le Peep in Valparaiso is a bustling breakfast spot with a large dining area that's clearly popular among the locals. Be prepared for a bit of a wait; we waited about 30 minutes to get a table, but once we were seated, our server was quick to take our drink order. After receiving our drinks, there was another 10-minute wait before she came back to take our food order. Fortunately, the food arrived promptly after that, within 5-8 minutes, and everything was served hot and together. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, which was decent, though the eggs were on the smaller side, and I've had better versions elsewhere. My wife had the special Countryside Omelet, and she enjoyed her meal quite a bit. Overall, the food is good, but not exceptional. Le Peep is clearly a popular breakfast destination, and while the food is solid, the service could be more attentive, especially given the wait times. I would return if others wanted to go, but it wouldn't be my first choice on my own. A good spot if you're looking for a lively breakfast atmosphere, but expect some delays. read more

I am mortified..... I am innocently sitting with my daughter waiting to eat breakfast. We are at the waiting area of the breakfast place (which was by the way wonderful and healthy)......... but I digress.... this family sits down next to us on the bench. Its a young mom and dad and their daughter who looks about 2 years old. She is staring at me (which, by itself to be stared at by young kids is not unusual) but then, out it comes.... "Pappa" Without even looking at me, her mom says to her daughter, no thats not grandpa. WTF!!! Am I that old to be mistaken for some 2 year old's grandfather?!?! Today will live in my personal history as being more than middle aged. Now onto a side note, very good breakfast. Not gourmet, but pretty darn good. I had breakfast tacos and my daughter had crunchy french toast. The waitress was super nice and very diligent. At 11:30 on a Saturday morning it was packed full. Maybe next time Ill have to have a breakfast date with someone a little older than my daughter to make me look cooler. read more

If you are looking for a cozy place to eat and hang out come to Le Peep! Service was absolutely fantastic, along with the food. Its very clean, the tables and chairs look like they're brand new. I had the lumberjack breakfast. That comes with fluffy pancakes bigger than your head, eggs, bacon or sausage, home fries or hash browns. I also had some coffee that was pretty good. I rated Le Peep 5 stars because i can't think of anything bad about this place. It's amazing. Highly recommend. read more

This is by far my favorite breakfast place I've ever been to. The restaurant was busy, so I was pleased and surprised by the quick service!! The server was also very sweet and respectful and the hostesses were very personable!! I got the eighteen wheeler and the American potatoes (i forgot what they're called at this breakfast place) were so packed with flavor!! and the French toast was incredible and the bacon was cooked perfectly!! 11/10 would recommend read more

I really enjoy the breakfast and brunch at Le Peep. They have been consistent over the years. I have very rarely had issues here. The food is fresh, the store is clean, and most of the staff is very friendly. There are a few employees that could use some lessons on customer service, but most of them are fine. The eggs benedict or the lobster omelette are my go to choices. I also really enjoy the crepes! read more

Honestly the breakfast was absolutely amazing. The "peasant potatoes" were so full of flavor and one of my favorite things of my meal! I ordered an omelette and my company ordered the eighteen wheeler and we both were ecstatic about our order! Our waitress was so sweet even though we told her she looks like Channing tatums ex wife. I love this place!! When ever it's early and I'm in town, I make sure to stop in. I've tried several of their breakfast dishes and have never been let down. Portions are perfect and artfully delicious! There's usually a wait on the weekends but I've always thought it worthwhile.
