the cons- biscuits and gravy were a disappointment, if not for the deliciusly fresh green onion they were topped with it would have been less than a mediocre breakfast dish. the peasant potatoes were dry and some burned while others undercooked. the pros- the best french toast myself and my wife have ever tasted. the coffee was perfect! and the apple juice was refreshingly cold. no wait on a saturday morning, seated very promptly. we will try once more in hopes of it being an "off day" for them. read more

I came here for breakfast and it was poppin', for lack of a better word. EVERYONE was there, which tells me it's probably pretty good. They have great breakfast; however, you can't really do breakfast wrong. But their ingredients were tasty and it was a fun atmosphere. When I first started coming here the food was amazing and today my biscuits in my biscuits and gravy were hard as a rock. Completely stale. My peasant potatoes were undercooked as well. Not too bad. I had high hopes based on the buzz about other Le Peeps. The gooey buns were ok, but undercooked. The crepe was good and very fresh and the peasant potatoes were really good, much better than your average breakfast potatoes or hash browns. My only real issue was they served my cinnamon glazed apples cold, which was just odd and kinda gross to me. They had a good flavor and I took them to go so I could eat them at home how I like them. My friend had to send back 2 burned bagels, although I will leave that to her to penalize them for, but it did make breakfast a little odd when I am not eating to be polite while waiting for her bagel to be retoasted and hoping my food does not get too cold. read more

This place was really great! There aren't many good breakfast restaurants in Valpo as most of them serve greasy food without much of an atmosphere. It was cute inside-- exposed duct work, etc. I took my grandmother here and she got a breakfast sandwich that was really good and quite large. I got crepes that were filled with sweet cheese and had fruit on top. The cheese mixture had orange zest in it and it was delicious! The atmosphere though usually busy is still quite charming. I have yet to have a poor meal or poor service. The presentation of any meal is pleasant and appetizing. Having experienced both breakfast including eggs,omelets and pancakes along with lunch, all are served fresh,tasty and hot. Also the Cluck Bucks are an added bonus. read more

Le Peep serves a le delicious breakfast! The biscuits and gravy and egg white omelet (Colorado) were particularly tasty. Loved the eclectic menu of this breakfast/lunch place. The decor makes you feel like you're at a friends house for lunch. Our waitress had a good grasp of the menu and made good recommendations. Le Peep offers all the thing you would expect at a breakfast place, but they also had a number of unique dishes that put some fun and adventure into the first meal of the day. We went at brunch time. One of our friends had one one of several breakfast skillets to choose from. Our other friend had strawberry cheesecake French toast. Amazing!! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her bacon and apple grilled cheese accompanied by a cup of homemade cream of tomato soup. My breakfast burrito was big and very tasty! Le Peep hits the sweet spot by serving up great quality classics and tantalizing innovative dishes while avoiding the "trendy" trap. Highly recommend! read more

Just had breakfast there today. Had a Bloody Mary, very good. Ordered an omelette with a couple of added ingredients. It was fine. Not extraordinary, but fine. I have an allergy to wheat, so I asked for something instead of bread. No substations, no accommodations just pay the full price and get less value. Very poor ! . read more

Corn beef skillet is probably my favorite breakfast item I've ever had. The coffee is good, but nothing special. Peasant Potatoes, aka home fries, are served with most meals and my wife loves them, but I'm more of a hashbrown guy. Also the water has lemon, orange, and maybe lime in it? So it has a little hint of citrus flavor to it, I like it but might not be for everyone. I've never had a problem with the service, and I usually get sat quickly even when there is a crowd. Overall, I would recommend coming and trying Le Peep, it's the best breakfast place in Valpo. read more

Awesome tasty brunch with fantastic Italian coffee!! Have ate here twice now and always have taken a 'to-go' box home. The monte cristo crepes are amazing, the crab cakes eggs benidict are tasty and my boyfriend swears by the chorizo and eggs dishes. Cute venue, low on parking, food is hit or miss. Service was slow. Valpo needs more solid morning places like Le Peep, but with better food. I went there with my family and about half of each of our food was good. My pancakes were bland (and overpriced) my brother ordered the 18 wheeler and the only good things were the potatoes and sausage. Try Suzy's cafe. read more
