Of all the Dine LA menus that I looked at (and there were hundreds), Paradise Dynasty, had the best for both lunch and dinner. What attracted me most was the numerous choices, in each generous category. I thought the dinner menu was magnetic and therefore negotiated before hand, that they would serve it to me at lunch time. At $55, it involved 4 courses and my intention was, to make choices I had never had before. For the appetizer first course, it was the vegetable wontons in chili oil. The wontons arrived swimming in a pool of chili oil, as they should be. My only comment here is that, the sauce had a little too much anise, thus slightly numbing the taste buds that are actually doing the tasting. The second course, the entree, was Steamed Chilean Sea Bass with Supreme Soya Sauce. Here, three thin small square pieces of fish filet were presented on a leaf soaked with the sauce. If anything, it surprised me that the meat was a little tough, instead of soft. I suppose that can happen if the frozen fish is not thawed properly before cooking. It had good flavor. The third course was a choice of rice or noodles and my selection was the shrimp fried rice. It had a mild, but distinct flavor and was excellent. For the fourth and final course, the dessert. Here, it had to be the Panda Lava Chocolate Bun. The warm steamed circular bun (there were two pieces) and the oozing dark chocolate, really hit the spot. It was an exceptional finale. This was my first visit to the Americana at Brand, on a Saturday (I generally visit during the week). And it will be my last. The whole area was mobbed with locals and tourists. Parking, although free in the structure, was a prized commodity. And traffic on the streets was 8-10 people deep. Once in and out of it, and the slow trek on I-5, both ways, was a price worth paying, for a wonderfully arranged 4-course Singaporean dining experience. read more

I really like this place! It's near the Americana Shopping mall like 5-minute walking distance. The food is amazing at this place and they serve quick! My favorite is the Dan Dan noodle because it's so tasty and the soup was great! Other items are served hot and delicious as well. We tried the colorful dumplings but that wasn't our favorite. I was sad to see Din Tai Fung leave this location, but it's good that they were replaced with a similar Taiwanese alternative. Paradise Dynasty made a big splash back in 2021 when they opened their first US location at South Coast Mall in Costa Mesa, CA. This Glendale location is spacious, and the layout is very similar to DTF. I ordered the Pork Wontons in chili oil. They were not as spicy as I would have liked, but they were tasty. I tried their Specialty Dynasty, Xiao Long Bao, with 8 different flavors. My favorites were the Original, Black Truffle, Garlic and the Szechuan. It was nice to try new flavors, but at the end of the day, I can't imagine myself ordering a full serving of anything other than the Original or maybe the Szechuan. I was hoping to find a Traditional Beef Noodle Soup on the menu, but unfortunately, they did not have one. My server made some suggestions and I opted for the Noodle with Chicken Breast Meat in Thick Chicken Soup. This dish was tasty and I did get my noodle fix, but I was still missing some Beef Noodle Soup. Next time, I will try something else. The service was friendly and helpful and overall I had a good experience. Popular Chinese spot that serves cuisine from different regions including delicious soup dumplings or XLB, which inevitably causes them to get compared to a popular Taiwanese chain. This place also actually originated in Singapore, I think. It is located in or at least part of the Americana at Brand mall in Glendale, so the traffic can get hectic at times. The space itself feels pretty elevated and has a classy vibe to it and the service is prompt and attentive. I've been wanting to try this place, but made it a point to come in to try the limited collab dumplings with Burritos La Palma (birria dumplings). Came in on the later side, so it wasn't super busy and was able to order a happy hour beer as well. I wanted to try the classic XLB dumplings in addition to the collab dumplings. Both were very different and I enjoyed both a lot! The dumplings were well structured and held firm (without breaking) when dipping and bringing them to your mouth and chewing. Both were bursting with plenty of flavor. Would love to come back and try more things on the menu other than the dumplings. Might be good to have a larger group to share family style. The food was delicious and service was great. Our server Marcus was friendly and helpful. Emily, the general manager was also attentive and came to check up on us to see how the food was. This was such a fun dinner! I came with my coworker to celebrate her new job, and we were so happy we tried it! We had a reservation even though it was a weeknight, and I'm glad we did! Started off with the signature xlb which had an awfully weird pulled pork one which was probably for ang mohs. The one in SG has it with cheese which was bizarre enough. Service from our waiter was plesant. There seemed to be a few Ah Lians working FOH. The interior of the restaurant felt luxurious, just like in Singapore. The fried pork chop was excellent, super flavorful and juicy. The typhoon shelfter Hokkaido scallops were my favorite and the scallops were gigantic and the flavoring was excellent. This was a chef's special and the bottom of the menu stated that it was for Spring of 2025...ending on 4/30/2025?!? The steamed chicken was very unlike the Malaysian kampong chicken that I'm used to in Singapore. This version was quite dry... Unlike Singapore, there are complimentary napkins. I think like most people, I came here for the rainbow xiao long bao. I think it's fun to try on a first visit but not something I would repeatedly get. I think it's a great sampler to see what flavors are your favorite and then just focus on those. I've been to the location in South Coast Plaza once a few years ago, and personally I found the flavors were more rich over there. The flavors at the Glendale location tasted more muted that nothing really stood out. When they arrived, the temperature was also more lukewarm. Luckily, everything else we got was mostly decent. Everything was prepared nicely and arrived quickly. The stand out was the woodear mushroom appetizer. The Szechuan Vinaigrette was a game changer, that it makes me want to replicate it at home. The Dan Dan noodle was mostly just nutty tasting and not much else, but luckily the noodles weren't made soggy from the sauce. Finally we got the chili pork wontons, and we thought this was not super flavorful, but nonetheless still a decent dumpling. Similar to the previous establishment's menu yet different with so many variety's of XLB. We got an order of the sampler and some were better than others. My family & I visited Paradise Dynasty for the first time last month. I reserved a table on OpenTable for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated upon arrival. The place is upscale, yet still casual. I thought their indoor temperature was quite warm, but I'm unsure why; maybe it was because of where we were seated (booth near the back). Also, the service was friendly, but a bit slow during our visit. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. My faves were the Specialty Dynasty Xiao Long Bao ($20.75), which was a colorful dumpling flight with interesting fillings; and the Chef's Special Assorted Sweet Mochi Duo with fillings of Green Tea Matcha & Black Sesame ($14.88), which was fragrant and mildly sweet. It was subtle and light and not overpowering or too spicy. Our server was so nice her name was Minh Tran. The night was already so busy but she was attentive, kind, fast, and made us feel very comfortable. They do not validate parking so I suggest the Glendale galleria which is a little bit of a walk but you're going to want to walk off all the yummy food you just ate. My favorites are the truffle and garlic XLB. So flavorful. But if you haven't come here you need to get the sampler XLB. It's so fun and all of the flavors are so so satisfying. The fried rice is very good, it honestly tastes exactly like DTF which is a good thing. The radish PASTRY IS A MUST TRY. We always get two orders when we go here it's so good. I gotta say many of those items lacked flavor. The pan fried pork buns were fancy looking but 2 came in an order for 9 bucks and there just wasn't enough flavor in those or soup. They were very dry. The soup dumplings both pork and chicken just needed more flavor. The wontons in chili oil were good but that's because it was doused in sauce and chili oil. Woodear mushroom salad was mid, nothing special IMO. The garlic green beans were actually one of the best dishes there. The pork ribs almost had zero meat, another case of ozempic ribs. No bueno. The steamed chicken was alright. Pepper angus beef was good too, that was enjoyed throughout the table. The cucumber salad was too bland for our liking. I mean certain things were good, like everything was cooked through very well. Just the flavor was lacking in our eyes and tongues. From the moment I walked in I was amazed. This place looks like an imperial palace. We were quickly seated within the beautiful interior. Finally got to try this place! This took over the old Din Tai Fung since they moved inside the mall. Vibes are basically the same, "high end" dumpling spot. Located on the outer part of the Americana (definitely park at the Galleria mall since it's free and an easy walk - otherwise paid parking can get expensive). We were able to go on a non-busy day/time I guess because they seated us immediately. Shoutout to our server, Ian, for always checking up on us and recommending the good stuff! Super helpful letting us know to scan the QR for a menu with beautiful pics of each item. In the end, he also gave us coupons to use on our next visit!! We also shared a side dish of cucumber that was refreshing and perfect on a hot day. My bf got the assorted dumplings which is 1 of every flavor they offer. I wasn't very hungry at the time, otherwise I would've loved to try their Xiao long Bao as well but he enjoyed it! My favorite thing about this place are the various signature cocktail options AND the fact that you can get as much ginger as you want!! Definitely don't skimp on that. I have been to Paradise 3 times and always enjoy whatever I get. Stopped by Din Tai Fung hoping to get a small meal before seeing the Odyssey at the Alex Theater in Glendale. I approached to go eat at the bar. I was told to wait in the Bar line even though there were numerous free seats. Ok, no time to waste let's go to Paradise. Walked a block, got seated and ordered delicious dim sum and a shrimp noodle plate. Everything was flavorful and fresh. Jessica the server was kind and checked in often fir the short time i was there. Im not sure why this business isn't as busy as DTF. I recommend and can't wait to come back. Enjoy! read more

Made a reservation for here at 5pm on a Sunday and there were actually still plenty of seating around. We ordered our rounds, basically din tai fung portion sizes so they're kinda small. Quality was great though! We tried different XLBs, the original is a classic, garlic was all our favorites, black truffle was a bit subtle (can pass next time), and the birria was interesting to try. The birria tasted very tomato-y, not as meaty as imagined, but it was actually not bad. Very soupy. The garlic was all our favorites as it really bursted in flavor. The classic XLB was also really nice, the dumpling skin is quite thick, the soup is very rich, pork meat was very flavorful. We also ordered other items like the sweet and sour pork (pretty good!), walnut shrimp (had an odd lemon taste to it), string beans (pretty standard), and the fried rice with pork (this one was pretty good too). Overall the food was pretty good but it does get pricey. Service was also pretty friendly and efficient as well. The restaurant is smaller than the one compared to Costa Mesa, but quality was still up there. read more
