My husband and I spontaneously stopped in to cure our Pho cravings two weeks ago and immediately fell in love. Since then, we've gone back again. We love Pho and are very picky but Pho Hot exceeded our expectations. The broth is rich and flavorful, the meat portions are exceptional compared to other pho joints, and most importantly, this place is well-kept and clean. They wipe their tables with two different cloths, one to clean it with solution, then one to dry it off. When the food is served, they lay down paper on the table. The cleanliness at Pho Hot is quite an upgrade compared to other places where the tables are wiped with dirty wet rags and crumbs/bits of food left behind. On top of all of that, they seat you right away, take your order promptly and bring out the food quickly. Don't think twice, just stop in and you'll be hooked. Came here on a weekday afternoon before 11 AM and the restaurant was busier than I expected. I had the pork with eggrolls vermicelli and shared it with my child. It was plenty of food for the both of us. The food came out quickly. However, the pork was slightly burnt and dry. The eggrolls also weren't crispy. I'm normally not a huge fish sauce fan but I doused my food with it since it was dry and bland. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing since most of the reviews mention pho but I had higher expectations due to the number of good reviews. read more

Been coming here for years! The owner is so humble and sweet and has the best smile on his face all the time. I try to call to place takeout orders, I always get the shrimp pho with a Thai tea boba. They are very generous with the broth, and add in veggies and I appreciate it. This is my go-to for comfort meal or when I'm feeling under the weather. Honestly the only place I'll get Vietnamese food! I decided to try this place because it's the only one I can find that has Bo kho and isn't pho but you can have it either with the pho noodles or bread (banh mi) We ordered the Beef Stew with bread and a Rice Beef Dish, plus a side of egg rolls to share. The Beef Stew (Bò Kho) - the broth was flavorful, the beef was tender, and the bread was the best. Rice Beef Dish (Cơm Thịt Nướng) - the dish was also delicious and very juicy. My favorite appetizer was the egg rolls and it goes perfect wrapped with lettuce then dipped in their fish sauce! The service was quick and all the uncles were friendly. 4 stars for chef, food is good. Portions are modest, over-priced but what isn't these days of getting gouged for everything, especially food. Just enough parking spaces so no issue there. So if the food is good but overpriced, then a bit of warm greeting, like a simple "hello, welcome..." is all it takes for me to feel appreciated for coming. 1 star for the owner and server who seem almost hostile at times when serving our food. We come here at least 2 - 3 times a month. These guys are always in a bad mood, never once greeted us although we've seen them chummy with random customers. We don't frequent this place looking to be treated nice. It's close by and convenient. But one day we might stop coming because it does matter that they are glad to see you back. Mom and pop place that has a welcoming feeling and hardworking people. I have been here 3 times in the past month. So far I have had the 2 different Pho, delicious! Being in the Burbank area, there's not a lot of great pho spots. I've tried a few and all just okay. Until I made it to Pho Hot! The experience is typical of what I have grown up to understand good pho to be having friends whose parents make very good pho at home. We were picking up some family at the Burbank airport and they were quite hungry and requested Vietnamese so we found Pho Hot about 10 minutes away in Glendale. The restaurant is small but they separate the tables with dividers. It is clear it's a Vietnamese family-owned restaurant. The menu was clear, separated with pho, vermicelli bowls, and rice plates. We ordered the Pho Dac Biet (with everything special) and the pork vermicelli bowls. Both were solid. The Pho broth was a little more simple but the large was a good amount. They actually give you a little more everything than just noodles which was appreciated. The vermicelli was also on the simpler side but plenty of pork. The fish sauce with the vermicelli was perfect taste, and the noodles were bouncy. Prices are reasonable as well. We dined there at around 2PM (day before thanksgiving) and then by 3PM msot tables were filled! Great spot for the area! read more

Parking lot is a bit small but there is plenty of free street parking. I barely write bad reviews--it honestly hurts me to do so unless I'm really disappointed. I won't recommend this place--sorry. The food was way too dry. I couldn't even finish my meal. I let the owner know, but unfortunately, they still charged us for something I barely touched. All they did was switch the spring roll filling from marinated chicken to plain boiled chicken. Before bringing the new roll, the owner gave me a piece of the chicken to try--but how could I really judge without tasting it inside the actual roll? When it finally came, it was still super dry, had a weird smell, and the taste was just as disappointing. I honestly wish their customer service was more understanding. My husband's dish--some meat with red rice--was okay at best, but the portion was too small for the price. The owner told me this is how it's supposed to be, but I've had the exact same dish at another location, Indochine Vien, where it's made so much better. We only came to this location because it's closer to home and I was really hungry. Funny enough, when I'm hungry, I usually eat whatever--even something basic. But even then, I just couldn't. Despite the owner's effort to have me try the chicken beforehand, it just wasn't right. I ended up leaving hungry--and going all the way to Indochine Vien just to finally eat. I only mentioned that place so he could maybe try it and see that the same dish can be made without being dry or strange-tasting. Making things fresh takes time but it always feels different for your customers! The food wasn't fresh chicken seemed like it was cooked from one or two days ago !
