Inquired about a hard to find Sienna woodland a week ago. After dozens of calls and texts from Manager and sales people which I informed them I live 5 hours away and its seemed silly , they kept up the pressure. Informing me they would give me a great price because it was the end of the month and needed "Hit" sales numbers but I had to buy the car today to get a deal. I bought a 2019 vehicle from here back towards the end of May of 2023. I went to get a new car since I travel to report to the national guard. And they recommended this vehicle was going to be a good choice. I did the test drive but nothing seemed wrong. The drive to my house is about a hour and when I got home with the new vehicle I noticed the car smelled really bad like oil and was smoking. I let them know as soon as possible and we had the vehicle back at the dealership within the first week of buying it.They said it was an oil leak and they would fix it. We took the vehicle back to the dealership once again about a week later since they had the part to fix the oil leak and that's when they were supposed to fix the problem. The car kept smelling really bad and smoking even after they had "fixed it". They said the smell would leave about 2-3 days later that it was just residue of the oil that had leaked a week or two had passed and everything was the same. Then one day on my way to work the car started to accelerate on itself while it was on Park. And if the car was on drive it would drive all alone without having to press on the gas paddle. I immediately told them about the problem and took it once again to the dealership. I had to drive the car up there like that because or else I wouldn't be able to get a loaner for work if I had taken it by a tow truck no idea why. They couldn't find what was wrong and they drive it and said it didn't do anything when it was over there. I drove the vehicle back home and it started doing the same thing the next day. I called them and they asked my if the check engine was on and I said it was so I took it again and that day maintenance wasn't there ti check it until it was Monday. Once again apparently the check engine had turned off and the vehicle "didn't do anything wrong" so I had to drive the vehicle back down. Then I decided to record the vehicle accelerating on itself and even sent it ti them and they still didn't know what it was. I had the car for about 2 months around that time and from those 2 months it's was most of the time I had bought it so about a month in the dealership and they couldn't find what was wrong. A uncle of mine used on of his own computers to check the code for the check engine and we sent it to them ti see if now they new what was wrong with the vehicle. There they told us it was the purge valve that was broken and we had to wait for the part to come in. Then they told us that the oil leaking, the smell, and the smoking was most likely from the broken purge valve and that the smell would go away in like two days once it was fixed. The vehicle got the purge valve replaced and we expected that finally the car was okay to drive and that nothing was wrong but nope that was not the oil leak. They never gave us any proof that they had fixed the oil leak or what part was even leaking from the first time "they worked on it". We contacted them again about how everything stayed the same except the part that the vehicle was not accelerating on itself because that was actually fixed. They said they can't do anything about the oil.leak and smell that, that was something to take to a Mazda dealer ship which is the the type of car I had bought. We took the car to the Mazda dealership and that's when they told us that the motor had a crack that was causing the oil leak, the bad smell, and the smoke all along. We contacted Toyotas dealership about it and they don't want to do anything about it even though we bought the car like that from them when they told us the car was in excellent condition and that was obviously a lie. Respectfully, I don't think a car that messed up is excellent condition. I haven't been able to drive to work and have had to relay in other people for the last 5 months because of their excellent condition car. All they told me was to call the extended warranty to see if it covers the cost of the repairs which is over $7,000 and no they don't So we went to a lawyer to see what we could do but we can't do anything because of the mileage of the car. The lemon law can't do anything because the car is over a certain mileage. The dealership mentioned about doing a trade in but we obviously know that even if I do a trade in the will not give much for such a messed up car and I will still have to pay for both cars and they will get away with their scams because that's what this was. It was a scam they sold something that was obviously not what they said it was and don't want to take responsibility. There is even proof of the times we called them, text messages, and even photos and videos of what the Mazda dealership said was wrong. The videos of when the purge valve was wrong and much more. Never again going back to this scamming dealership. read more

I bought a 2018 Toyota RAV4 with 19,000 miles on it for my son 6 months ago. Since then, we have had a recurring problem with the ABS sensors, costing me a lot of money to repair. Each lasted a few days before it happened again. When this occurs, all the warning lights come on, and the traction control, anti-lock brakes, and 4WD are all disabled, making it extremely dangerous to drive. I asked Toyota of Mankato to run diagnostics on it free of charge, being that we just bought it and it has only 22,000 miles on it. The used vehicle sales manager refused to even do that. Steer clear of this dealership. Once they take your money, they do not stand behind their vehicles. read more

Mike Drysdale (Service Manager) and Chris Cass DO NOT RETURN CALLS - EVEN WHEN TOYOTA CORPORATE EXECUTIVE TEAM TRIES TO REACH THEM Our college student son brought in his 2004 vehicle with over 189,000 miles for an oil change. Upon completion of the oil change, he was told that he had a cracked and leaking transmission and it would need to be replaced. He was given two estimates. One for a used transmission at the cost of $3145.45 and a second estimate for a rebuilt transmission at a cost of $5141.14. These costs are more than the value of the car. He paid for oil change and left. There was no transmission fluid added nor were there any discussions with him about the importance of checking the fluid level since it was "leaking" and not driving the vehicle without an adequate level of transmission fluid. If they believed the transmission was "cracked and leaking," educating the consumer on this would have been important to prevent further damage to the vehicle. When he called us and informed us of status of vehicle we asked him to take it back and ask if they could send us pictures of the transmission. A tech did that and sent us the pictures. We showed them to our regular mechanic at home and he did not see any leak or crack. We drove to Mankato to pick up vehicle, brought it back home hours away and had it examined by our mechanic. It is NOT CRACKED and NOT LEAKING. We called and spoke to Mike Drysdale (Service Manager). He said that as the service manager, he needs to authorize all repairs over $500. This is well over $500. He said the Multi-Point Inspection is done as a courtesy to you by the "oil guy". The tech took a "quick look" and thought it was leaking. Mike Drysdale (Service Manager) himself saw the "poor kid who was trying to take a picture of this transmission" yet never investigated WHY or verified condition of transmission. There is a big difference between a "courtesy" inspection and a disclosure that "something looks amiss with the transmission. We would recommend that you have that looked at further" and "You have a cracked an leaking transmission and we can fix it for you for between $3100-$5100 on your 2004 vehicle with over 189,000 miles. Mike Drysdale asked us to bring the vehicle in for another inspection. We at this point already had it inspected by a reputable mechanic. Our son is busy with college academic and sports time commitments and we live hours away. The TIME FOR THE INSPECTION WAS WHEN THEY WERE IN POSSESSION OF VEHICLE BEFORE RECOMMENDING THOUSANDS IN REPAIRS. We incurred over $300 in costs to travel there from 6 hours away, bring the vehicle back home, have it inspected and return it to our son at school. Further calls to either Mike Drysdale or Chris Cass were not returned. We contacted the Corporate Guest Experience VP who assigned Executive Team Member Danica Sorenson to look into the situation. Calls placed from Toyota Corporate to the dealership were also not returned. They responded via correspondence which was minimal and did not address the core issues. CORE ISSUES - 1 - REPAIRS RECOMMENDED WITHOUT VERIFICATION as to status of vehicle either by lead tech or Service Manager himself. NO TRUST THAT RECOMMENDED REPAIRS ARE ACTUALLY NEEDED. (OURS WEREN'T) 2 - CUSTOMER SERVICE CONCERNS BROUGHT TO ATTENTION OF MANAGEMENT NOT RESPONDED TO IN A WAY THAT VALIDATES THE EXPERIENCE OF THE CUSTOMER AND BRINGS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. read more

Every time I would take my vehicle for an oil change I would get told I needed additional this or that. The last time I went, was told I needed a new cabin air filter & they took it out to show me. Yes it was full of debris but I know how to replace myself, just hadn't gotten around to it so I said no. The person at the desk said "ok but it's going to be really noisy if you don't". So instead of tapping the filter on the garbage can on the way back, they shoved it back in with all the debris so of course it was noisy! It was not sounding like that when I drove it there! When I got home had to clean the thing out myself to reduce the noise until I could go get a new filter. Never going back. read more

Had my brakes looked at and they estimated needing all rotors and pads replaced. Estimate of $1k total. Went for an estimate at another two shops in town. 60% left on the rear pads and 30% left on the front. Was able to replace the front pads and rotate the rotors for less than $300. My car was brand new, got hit 2 weeks later on the driver side in Mankato, and I thought that if I took my car to a "Toyota" dealership to fix that my car would look brand new again. HELL NO! They "fixed" (more like just touched) my car 4 times!!! Every time we got our car back, there were MORE defects that were not caused by the accident BUT their technicians! Their statement on their website says "our collision center has the professional staff to get your vehicle back on the road and back into original condition." HA!!! A bunch of bull. Mike Drysdale the service director and Rick Kohn the collision manager "claimed" that they were going to "take care" of us, but they don't give a damn about the quality job that they put out and just wanted us to take the car as it is because I'm sure they were tired of hearing from us about their poor job quality! Their goals and mottos on their website is straight bullshit! It's all talk. I saw that the Yelp reviews were a 1 star and should have trusted it. PLEASE TRUST THE REVIEWS!! The managers are aholes so is the sales people they are rude and very unpleasant to work with. You can be preapproved from a different bank but they will try to get you into their own bank when you don't want it. If only they are willing like other dealers on negotiations and letting me go through my own bank I would have bought a truck from them, but if that's how they treat customers good luck selling any vehicles. First, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is. We purchased a used vehicle in August and have had nothing but problems ever since. We found out that basically we need a new engine. The car ran fine on the test drive and even for the first few weeks, however we've been duped. We asked them to take the car back for the price paid and we would get something else from them but they basically told us the car was our problem now. We checked into the Lemon Law, however that apparently only protects buyers for new vehciles, which is also what the Heintz Dealership told us as well, quite smugly I'd like to add. We were smart buyers, got the Car Fax report before we purchased, however since the car hadn't been in any accidents and had only had 1 previous owner it looked clean. We are currently consulting with a lawyer to see what further action can be taken as this dealer doesn't seem to have a conscience and doesn't care that we've been a customer for the past 12 years. We don't have the money to eat the loss and we need a reliable vehicle. read more

BEWARE OF LIES! Purchased a used car last month. The interior of the car had an overwhelming odor from cleaner. The Salesman explained that the vehicle had a musty odor that morning after the windows were left open so they sprayed some cleaner to alleviate the smell. Several days later after purchasing the car, the cleaner wore off and it was obvious that the odor was actually smoke. The previous owner of the vehicle must have been a smoker and the Salesman at this dealership blatantly lied to us. Don't come here! I went there to get my first scheduled oil change just to find that my beautiful truck was hit in the driver side door by another vehicles door by the mechanics that worked on it. They wouldn't even bother wiping off the excess debris left behind from said vehicle. Thankfully there wasn't permanent damage to my truck, but the effort of these employees is shit! My wife and I drove in the lot Sunday when no sales people were there and found a vehicle we were interested in. I looked it over from the outside that day and we decided we would take a second look at it the next day. I emailed the company for some info and did what I could for my own research on the vehicle. It was around noon when I sent this out and 2 hours later William Stuckert called and I later told him we would be by at 7 to look at the vehicle. The vehicle was ready to roll. My wife drove first as this would be her replacement vehicle, as I said I had done my research and so had my wife. We checked the Carfax and had an idea of what had happened. The salesman did not have any knowledge of any of it. The first thing my wife said when we saw it was that the bumper and grill didn't line up right. She was right, this vehicle had rear ended someone which caused the airbags to deploy. William didn't know about this until we sat down to talk financing. After asking if we were interested he ran some numbers and quoted us $320 a month for 60 months on a, what they had listed at $13,900. Which we would end up in the end paying almost $20,000 for. In prime condition this vehicle may have been worth $11,000, with front end damage $8,000 seems fair. Good luck with these guys, especially William Stuckert, his number shows up as a Wisconsin number which must mean he is new to the biz which would explain alot. read more

Yesterday I went here to look at cars. I told the salesman i had a pre approved loan in the amount of 10k. I took a car for a test drive i liked it told the salesman i would take it. I said id run to the bank to take care of the loan and would be back to get the car. He said no problem. I went to the bank my loan officer had some customers and said it would be an hour wait to see him. I called the salesman told him what i was doing he said that was fine and we would get me home in the car that night if we could. So i took care of the loan went back to the dealer to see the car gone. I told the salesman i was ready to go. He said he had been doing somethings and that someone had taken it for a test drive. He took my paper work and went to see his sales manager after watching talk to several people he came back. He put my papers down on the desk and just said " It was sold." That`s all he said didn't apologize say lets see what what else they can do for me or anything. I had a purchase order and everything . From the time i left til i came back was 1 1/2 hrs.
