I am 73, always wanted a Corvette but never got one..until about 6 months ago, My sister-in-law and brother-in-law in Florida collected cars and gifted me a 2002 Corvette C5 Base in exchange for helping them through a probate. The car ran a little warm in the hot weather in Las Vegas. Ian at Leading Edge Performance used HP Tuners to reprogram the ECU and change the temperatures at which the radiator cooling fans activate. These guys did an amazing job on my S197 Shelby GT500-I had the typical fuel sender issues that according to Shelby forums are part of owning an older Shelby lol. Thing is, you can only get one of the fuel level senders now (driver vs passenger side) so I brought them the one sender and they rebuilt the other one, and put in two new fuel pumps. Great place, went there for the first time and just got brake upgrade done but had them look over my GT500. So I got the car back, parking brake fixed and drilled slotted rotors and semi metallic pads- but the BIG thing is that the car (47k miles) had some shaking before (all speeds, and not while on the brakes so not quite sure what the issue was) and it's completely gone. Garth is totally professional - and they have the Best C7 mechanics I have ever seen unlike my previous shop. My Car had some damage underneath due to my fault and they went over it with a fine tooth comb. Then they fixed my EVAP leak super fast where my previous IDIOT tuner didnt realize the R888 were too big and rubbing on the EVAP causing a leak. BEWARE OF THIS SHOP. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT ONE THING: MAKING AS MUCH MONEY OFF OF YOU AS THEY CAN. I have a procharged C7 Corvette. My procharger was making a weird noise so I brought my car in knowing that my procharger probably had to be rebuilt. Being that this is one of the only shops that work on LS cars in Las Vegas... I talked to the owner Garth and assured me his shop can do the job so I brought it in. He originally quoted me about or "around" $500 for labor of taking the procharger off and then putting it back on once it was rebuilt. His team took the procharger off and sent it to procharger to get looked at about being rebuilt and he told me that there was no room for my car at his shop so I'd have to tow my car to my house in the meantime while the procharger was being rebuilt. Not too big of a deal since I have AAA but still a bit inconvenient to have to tow it and then tow it back, but whatever. Garth told me that the rebuild would be around $2200 so I he invoiced me for the rebuild and I paid it. At last procharger gets back to us and says that it's basically unfixable and cannot be rebuilt. So now I have to buy a new procharger. Here's where I start to have a problem with the way Garth handled the situation. Garth mentions that he is an authorized dealer for procharger and can get me a new D1 for $4,300. This seemed a bit high so I reached out to my buddy who originally did all the work on my car in Texas. He told me he can get me a brand new one directly from procharger for $3,500. Big difference right? Well, I tell Garth I can get it for WAY less ($800 difference) and if he could send me my money back so I can buy a new one, since we aren't doing the rebuild. I told him to just take out the cost of the labor that it took to take off the procharger. I had to message and call Garth for a week.. finally had to go into his shop for him to send me my money back. Why is it that when he invoiced me, I paid it same day. But when it comes time for him sending the money back so I can purchase a new procharger, I have to chase him around?? He then charged me $700 just for taking off my procharger and "diagnoses". What diagnoses? I literally came into your shop and told you my procharger was messed up and most likely needed a rebuild. Mind you, he originally quoted me $500 to take off and put back on.. so that means when I get the new procharger he will then charge me another $700. $1,400 when originally quoted me $500. Unreal! So not only did he try price gouging me on the procharger he price gouged me on labor. This shop does not car about you or your cars they only want your money and will lie to your face to get it. He also sent my upper pulley to procharger so now I had to reach out to them to get them to send it back. It ended up costing me less to pay for a plane ticket for my buddy to fly from Texas to come fix my car for me. Mind you it took him less than 45 minutes to put the procharger back on my car and running. I honestly think Garth thought he could take advantage of me and that maybe I don't know much about cars? I've been around fast cars my entire life. I've personally been modding and building all the cars I've owned since I was 17 years old. I know quite a bit so maybe he thought he could get one over on me? Not sure but that's what this whole situation feels like. It's been a complete nightmare working with this shop. As a fellow small business owner it baffles me how Leading Edge is still in business with the way the owner treats its customers. I would never treat my customers like this.. Had the BEST experience with the Owner Garth and his amazing, honest, humble crew! We had purchased a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab that had previous work done on it. The truck had no CAD, a programmer and such. We knew there was some issues with truck that were fixable, however we were never told there were issues with the programming and the truck constantly stalling. The previous owner told us, he had work done at Sin City Performance. We figured since work had previously been done there, they would know the truck and fix the issues. This place apparently reprogrammed the truck, added parts and said the issues would be fixed. Well after taking it back there approx 4-6x and dropping money on these issues, it still never resolved the stalling issues. We got tired of my 16 year old son never being able to enjoy his truck and constantly stalling on the side of road or highway. So dangerous by the way! Sin City Performance NEVER fixed out truck, took our money, put in cheap parts it never needed and we still ended up with a undriveable truck. Finally, we reached out to some friends of ours who recommended Leading Edge Performance and highly recommended them and their work. We took the truck to their shop, Garth and his crew explained exactly what they would do and gave us an approximate range of what it would cost to fix the issues and get it running the way a performance truck should run. The truck was in the shop 1 day and we got a call that it was ready for pickup. The crew explained to my husband what was done and said it should drive 100% better and not have any issues with stalling. On my husbands way home from leaving the shop, the owner Garth called my husband to check on truck and to see how it was running? My husband was in shock that the owner reached out personally and that the truck felt like a completely new truck!!! My husband got home with the truck, as my son was waiting in anticipation, since he pretty much could not drive his truck all summer because of the run around and money spent Sin City Performance gave us! Sin City Performance sucks by the way!!! I don't know how they are still inn business. Guess they prey on suckers like us!!! Anyhow, my son happily took the truck out and he was soooo HAPPY and EXCITED, calling to tell me how different the truck felt driving. The awesome power the truck had and it didn't stall. I want to thank Garth and his amazing crew for fixing the truck the first time and sticking to their word. Not taking us for our money, as we know nothing about performance vehicles. And making this family and my 16 year old son the happiest kid right now! He will be finishing off his summer happy and ready for Junior Year with an awesome cool looking truck. These guys put a BTR Truck Norris cam in my 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with a 5.3. I'd have to look to see all the other parts they used but they did a race valve job, new lifters & springs, tuned the motor & the trans. It feels like a different truck. Best performance shop i have ever worked with. I have been building cars for 30 years and Garth and team are the best. In this world you pay for what you get. I brought my 2019 CTS-V to them for a cam upgrade. First he did exactly what he said he was going to do, second it was in the time he said it was going to be.. AND 3rd how it was going to be completed. Additionally, I already had a 2650 new in the box we added this to the build. This was back in January and mine was the first car they did of 2024. Usually, there is always something you have to compromise on. Not with Garth as he tells it like it is. Lastly, his prices are comparative with the best shops in the country with his work being in line with a master builders. The 2650 upgrade looks like GM put it in the car from the factory AND he had the car detailed when he was done... oh my it's the little things that make a difference. I brought my 2017 6.2 silverado into Garth when after a check engine light came on at 130,000 miles. He diagnosed it at no charge and spent quite a bit of time explaining how the DOD system in GM engines cause lifter problems and what the options would be from there. This was my worst experience by far in regards to any other performance shop. I took my Cadillac to get built by Garth (the owner) and paid him over 10k. Since I left his shop I had problems with the build. Whether it was this or that. The car was barely built about 6 months ago and the last issue I had was that an injector got stuck apparently. And well my car took a crap. I had the car towed to his shop to diagnose what the problem was and it was the 1 injector. He told me how much he would charge me for the injectors and labor again. About $500. I clearly told him to leave the car alone, that I was going to pick it up and take it back to him once I had the money to get the car fixed. Then apparently he decided to go ahead anyways and do the work regardless??? So then he contacts me again and says that the car is done to go pick it up. I go and charges me the whole money again. Gets an attitude once I ask him if the work was gonna be under warranty of some sort. I mean cmon ALL parts were brand new. HE chose the brands, HE ordered the parts everything, and yet somehow he doesn't back up his own work??? In the end he completely blew up on me cuz logically I was upset having to pay again MORE money for work that he did. I paid a professional to order, install and tune my car just to just end up having problems with the build and having getting disrespected and cursed at as a customer. Don't take your business here if you want things to get done RIGHT and end up getting the worst customer service ever. Saying "you either pay me or the car doesn't leave simple as that" "fuck that then take the injector off and I'll still charge you for the labor and storage" saying "fuck that fuck that" to a customer. And I not once was rude or disrespectful to that guy. Definitely will be taking my business to someone that actually cares about his customers. read more
