Average service at premium rates. I've used them several times. The first service came out right away in an emergency and handled the situation well, I was impressed. However, the last service was a lot slower in response time, and less professional in terms of how they handled communication and on-location service, and clean-up. And lastly, found out from a second opinion of a well-reviewed plumbing service that I paid exretemley high prices (3x) than what others are charging. A breakdown below from my last experience for service on my water heater: Communication and scheduling: First, my inquiries on yelp and through their contact form on the website were never responded to. (They used to be very responsive). The tech missed our appointment twice before finally coming after 2 reschedules. Professionalism and cleanliness: When the tech was here, he didn't have booties and walked through my house with boots on. He left the place in a mess. When working, a bunch of cleaning liquid splashed out onto my porch and glass window, and he didn't bother to clean it. So now I'm left with a sticky residue all over my glass. Also, during the service, he removed a lot of foam that was installed on my pipes to work around it. He never put it back on and just left it on the floor. Normally I expect service people to leave things in the same condition as they arrived, not worse. Lack of urgency in an emergency: Immediately after the tech did his service, my water heater stopped working. I had to call 3 times to get someone to come out. I didn't get anyone to come back for another 48 hours and had no hot water for that time. I figured it out by doing a hard reset, which we discovered when he finally got here. Price: I decided after this service that I should just get my water heater replaced since it's on its last leg. I had a different service (which I've used before as well) come out and take a look. When I shared what was going on, he said that Leading Edge charged me 3x what he would've for the same service. He also said he wouldn't even perform the water heater cleaning service, cause the unit was too old and could damage the unit (which I'm assuming did happen since it stopped working after the Leading Edge tech came out. As noted above). So I decided to get a quote for a new heater from this second company, as well as Leading Edge just for comparison. And again, LeadingEdge quoted me more (2x) than the other guys. I went with the second plumbing service instead. I've had success with LeadingEdge in the past years, but this last round of service was not a great experience. If this is how all services these days are run, I can no longer feel confident in using and recommending this service. 3 stars cause the job was done (kind of), but was far from meeting my expectations. She informed me that Max would arrive to address my plumbing issue in approximately 45 minutes. Max showed up and was friendly professional and did a great job at addressing my issue. Our toilet was making a loud running noise when flushed. I found leading edge plumbing and Steve came the same day. He was friendly, honest, and informative. All around good energy and trustworthy. Within a couple hours, our toilet was fixed, and even our valves under the kitchen sink were changed and updated so that our new dishwasher could be installed tomorrow without issue. Had them come out to take a look at our water heater and a couple leaks under our sink in the kitchen and bathroom. First offense was he said our water heater was out of warranty. Claims it was only 5 years when it was 6. He recommended either replacement or at least a service for a lot of money. Basically the pilot went out and my wife paid him a bunch to get it lit, something dwp will for free. He then quoted about $300 for the leaks. He didn't have the parts so he couldn't do it then thankfully otherwise my wife would have probably paid it. We called another plumber for those leaks and that was done for $150. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt about the warranty but after finding out we only paid $150 for the leaks it really showed the type of business this place does. Stay away from this place unless you like getting bent over. read more

Several plumbers that i have contacted all have had different opinions as to where or how to reroute the busted pipes. Some advise to have the pipes reroute to my 2nd floor, some actually believe exposing the pipes routing to my back yard and to kitchen would be better. Regardless, all of them say the process would take somewhere between two to a week to finish. Hmm, in this hot weather? With no water? No thanks. Until I contacted Leading Edge. We had a back up in one of our toilets and it turned out to be the mainline. This company is not a good company they charge like $175 for someone to come out and just tell us that they couldn't fix it till tomorrow and they would not refund the $175 and $175 does not go to the work that needs to get done. When the guy came back in the morning he didn't even try to look for the main line outside he just remove the toilet and charged us 400 and something bucks he didn't even try to snake the toilet first he just said it's your mainline and we can't find the mainline access so we have to remove the toilet. It all felt very rushed the guy didn't seem very knowledgeable and The total bill came out to like 890 something bucks and then we were double charged for it that's ridiculous fee of $175 bucks or whatever it was. I know Plumbers have a bad rap like auto mechanics but this company is not a good company. read more

REALTORS and Home Buyers BEWARE! Truly disappointing and unacceptable service as of recently and a total waste of our clients time and money. After using LeadingEdge for the past 4.5 years for almost ALL of our escrow camera sewer line inspections and our clients' minor to major repairs on their homes it is no longer the same company as it was before. First of all, the sewer line camera inspection fees have increased as of the past couple of years (understandably so), however it NO LONGER includes a recording of the video sewer line findings due to no Bluetooth capabilities on the equipment and an obsolete USB drive needs to be provided if we want the recording. This was information was NOT provided prior to the inspection that this all started. My clients had to pay for another company to come out and actually record the findings, which actually was $100 less than what LeadingEdge was charging! Scheduling- on several occasions the customer services reps have been unclear on the exact window times and IGNORE the requests to have a RECORDED CAMERA INSPECTION! On one occasion, just minutes prior after waiting at the house with the clients and listing agent, I receive a call that the technician is running 1HR behind, when the truth was the initial technician assigned called in sick and another had to fill in his place-- with NO recording capabilities for the inspection. Another occasion- customer service rep stated that the technician assigned is running behind and asked for another window period 2 hours later! We got the message... YOU AND YOUR CLIENTS' TIME IS NOT OF THEIR CONCERN. Because we have not received a response or any recognition of our concerns after a detailed email of the multiple issues, it's a huge slap in the face. What's interesting is that customers service representatives call us to ask how the inspections went and ask for feedback, but when you call back to discuss and follow up with the concern, they say they'll call back, but do not! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REPAIRS - JOB WILL NOT BE DONE CORRECTLY AND YOU WILL GET OVER CHARGED / NOT TO MENTION THEY ARE REFUSING REFUNDS WHEN IN THE WRONG! Contacted them on 09/11/2022, spoke with Stephanie and agreed on a visit for 09/12/2022. Nobody came so I contacted them again and they scheduled another visit with my tenant for 09/13/2022. They couldn't fix the leaks right away and I was sent 3 estimates. Estimate 1: Replacing faucet, with me providing the new faucet = $630 / Estimate 2: Replacing faucet cartridges = $660 / Estimate 3: Replacing faucet with them providing new faucet = $800. I spoke to Carlos and Tanya and choose the middle way: To have a technician go over there and replace the cartridges. The work was scheduled to be done 09/20/2022, as agreed with me and my tenant. A week after the scheduled repairs I asked my tenant if the job had been done but she told me they were coming now on 09/27/2022. I had paid the estimate/invoice on 09/20/2022 thinking that would be the day they would to the job. There was no communication at all! Apparently after the job was done one minor leak was still present but AGAIN: I WAS NOT INFORMED ABOUT IT AT ALL. Until a week later my tenant sends me multiple videos (see screenshots attached) showing that the minor leak was made worse by the cartridge replacement and the faucet now needed to be replaced completely. Not to mention my tenant had to take off work due to the technician not coming on time. I contacted them again to go have a look (installations come with a 30 day warranty, job performed did not even last 7 days and made the original leak WORSE). Now they are telling me the whole faucet needs to be replaced and are asking for another $370!!! Tired of arguing and being ripped off by them, I went to Home Depot, bought a new faucet for $17 and installed it within 20mins, myself!! (If you need your faucet replaced call me, I'll be doing it for $20 - jk). I tried to get a refund on the job performed that did absolutely NOTHING but made the leak worse, esp. as I have a 30 day warranty but they are REFUSING to co-operate and mention that there was no guarantee that the job performed would work as my faucet was old. I told them that their technician installed the new cartridges, saw it was still leaking and just left. Anthony then told me that it was written on my final invoice - WHICH WAS NOT SENT TO ME/I DID NOT RECEIVE. HE JUST SENT IT TO ME FOR THE FIRST TIME TODAY, 10/27/2022!! Please prove me wrong by showing me the e-mail in which the invoice was sent AFTER the job was done, because I did not receive one! Also I was pushed around from one co-worker to another. Starting with Stephanie, then Tanya, Carlos, Savannah, Andrew, Anthony and JC. And as soon as I pointed out the job not being done correctly and requesting a refund, my calls, text messages and e-mails suddenly would not get answered anymore. 1 / 1 We used Leading Edge in 2016 to replace all our rotting drain pipes. They did a good job, broke thru concrete slab for access in living room and bathroom. I was pleased with everything at the time except for the filling of the removed slab chunks (very uneven and dipped below ground level, had to re-level the floor myself). Fast forward to 2022, my drains gunked up and it was time for a hydro flushing. All drains were backing up. Called and they were able to come out same day toward end of day, which was great. I was not home, only my wife. We have 2 toilets. The techs decided to try snaking the guest toilet first. When they asked my wife if there was a drain access point, she did not know, so they removed the toilet without going to the other bathroom where drain vent access point is easily located. As they snaked into the removed toilet hole, the snake went the wrong direction back toward our other toilet and actually BUSTED through the porcelain and threw drain gunk onto everything it possibly could. [Nightmares for my wife] This all could have been averted if they had taken a moment to locate the drain access. After finally deciding that hydro flush was the way to go (should have started with that and saved a ton of time and my nice toilet) you could hear an odd bubbling after flushing. They went in with the cameras and found a spot where the pipes were starting to drift apart from eachother and create a possible future sinkhole. They took away the broken toilet pieces and capped off the drain hole. The next day, they gave me an estimate for the pipe repair and a new cheaper toilet that in no way compared to the broken one, but I appreciated not being left without one. Also due to busted toilet, took $250 off the cost of work done (which feels funny to me, because I felt like they could just increase the other costs to cover that). Now, the bubbling sound and disjointed pipes: the estimate for work was $7k (breaking ground, fixing pipe, backfill). Can't afford that, so with backbreaking effort, I cut my own hole into the concrete and dug around till I found issue. The disjointed pipe was exactly where the old pipes met the new ones installed in 2016. The pipes were not aligned correctly by Leading Edge in 2016. A thick rubber coupling held the two ends in place, with the pipe ends almost a half inch off from meeting correctly. Thought about contacting them, but it had been 6 years and I doubted any company would be that honorable fixing prior work completed. My retired plumber neighbor came over and let me know that the coupling will hold and no work really needed to be done. I understand there was no way the new techs could've known that without exposing the pipe themselves, but c'mon! I almost spent $7k to find out that everything's fine. The bubbling sound that led the techs to believe air was escaping underneath the house in my pipes went away after I drained the toilet tanks when searching for the sound. I think the sound was incoming, not outgoing, but because the draining and filling sounds were occurring at same time, it was hard to tell? Sound is now gone. I'm happy that its not a sinkhole under my house. Kinda upset that I did so much work to find a problem left by the previous work done by same plumbing company. Not to mention I miss my water saving toilet. They left us with basic model that requires loads of water to flush. I'll eventually put new insides into toilet, but that's more money and work that I get to do to cover for this company's mistakes. Will I use them again? Yes, I still like them because they're available when I need help and they're very pleasant to work with. But it'll be begrudgingly. read more
