Leaf and Cloud is the perfect aesthetic work cafe, with tons of seating, unique and yummy drinks, and free WiFi! Parking is also easy, with a public garage right next door - 90 min free, $3 per 60 min after. (Because I thought I saw this in a different review, leaf and cloud does NOT validate parking) I tried a fig latte (which I downed before I remembered to take a pic of) and loved it. The salt bread is also absolutely delicious! I definitely want to come back to try their matcha options as well. The servers are super kind and helped give me recs for picking my drink! Overall, I really enjoyed this cafe and can't wait to come back again!

Leaf and Cloud is a cute minimalist cafe in Glendale, with a variety of drinks (matcha and coffee), food, and pastries. I had the chance to try their matcha espresso cloud here, which was delicious and somehow managed to blend the matcha and espresso perfectly. This spot is within walking distance from my workplace so I foresee myself coming back in the future to try out other drinks.

Iced Lychee Coconut Matcha was a 9/10!!! I made the poor mistake of not completely mixing before drinking ... the lychee drink was wayyyyyy too sweet but afterwards, it was absolutely perfect. Wonderful balance of matcha and lychee. The tteokbokki was good but I feel like there wasn't anything too special about it. If I had to compare with fettuccine, it's more garlicky and saucier. I wish the little sides came with kimchi or seaweed salad instead of pickles and jalapeño There was no salt bread either which I was super sad about and service was a little slow. But I think it's just 2-3 workers BUT they're very kind so it didn't matter too much to me. The spice is great too! WiFi, outlets, and a decent amount of seating. Started getting easier around the late afternoon on a Sunday!

Salt bread!! On the real, it's the best I've ever had

This is by far the best place to go in LA for bread or matcha drinks!! They have THE BEST SALT BREAD IVE EVER HAD. EVERY BITE TAKES YOU TO A NEW LEVEL HEAVEN. They tend to be sold out of the bread though. Amazing service and ambiance as well. Wayyyy way better than community goods (even though they are great too) but do not sleep on this place!!! Plus there aren't any insanely long lines (yet). But I'm sure it'll be like that soon. Also amazing location with tons of parking nearby

Super cute new study cafe in Glendale! Right next to the Marketplace parking structure which offers 90 minutes of free parking and pretty cheap rates. Also located near the Glendale Galleria and Americana, right across from Homegoods. We ordered the matcha einspanner and the matcha coconut latte. They also had a BOGO deal on the salt breads, with you receiving one free salt bread if you purchase a normal salt bread. The matcha einspanner was excellent, super rich and creamy! The matcha coconut was more refreshing with the coconut water being a nice way to balance the creamy rich matcha. My personal favorite was the salt breads!! It's so rare to find a good place to get Korean salt bread without going to Ktown, so this will definitely be a new frequent place. The original salt bread was fresh, buttery, and super soft. The cream was sweet and perfectly balanced, and the cream is fresh without being too overpowering. The bread is really fresh! The service is great, accommodating and patient. Sometimes they are in the back stocking the bread or drinks. They also will give you the bathroom code to the back but you have to ask them.

Came here a couple weeks ago to pick up a quick matcha, as my colleague had told me that she had saw this place on social media. The cafe is located right next to a free public parking, which is awesome. The inside is very artistic, almost like you can spend some time getting lost in your work for a while. I got the matcha cocunut, which is matcha with coconut water. It was an interesting take on matcha for sure and I liked how light it was, as I didn't want a matcha that was too strong or milky. The barista was Korean and the group I came with were Korean, which definitely made the experience more special. Definitely would come back for my matcha cravings!

Stopped by this recently-opened café while in the area. Ordered a matcha cream top and a strawberry matcha cream top. Service was nice and helpful, and nice enough to pack my drinks up in the cup holder I brought. I got my drinks within five minutes. The matcha cream tops were tasty, but being picky, I wish the matcha was a bit stronger; it's also a bit pricey for the size you get. Overall, a nice little shop to stop by should you be nearby!

Heard about Leaf and Cloud from Tiktok and was excited to give it a try! I tried their Strawberry Matcha Latte and Lychee Matcha Latte. The Strawberry Matcha Latte was good , the strawberry flavor was prominent and had good flavor. The Lychee Matcha was different in the best way possible. I've never had a Lychee Matcha and it was so refreshing. Great mix of flavors. Service was great. Orders were taken fast and drinks came out fast. I do wish they had their salted butter pastries but unfortunately they did not have it at the time. Ambiance was nice. It is relatively new so I believe they're still setting it up but it is clean and already gives off a modern coffee shop vibe. Overall , solid place; would come back again if I'm in the area and would love to try their pastries!

Their double matcha is the perfect blend of strong and sweet! I got my order through DoorDash pick up and it was ready by the time I arrived. Hoping to drop by soon again for an in person me time to enjoy more of their drinks.

Excellent cafe! I worked here for hours and it was perfect. The music, overall atmosphere is great, and the seating arrangements are comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. It was not crowded on a Sunday. I don't think they have WiFi (I used my hotspot), but they do have a couple of outlets by the wall. The service was friendly and the matcha (matcha einspanner) was among the best I've had (and I've tried a lot). The salt bread was fresh out of the oven and super delicious. Very reminiscent of cafes in Korea Will be back for sure!

While in the area with my mom for a doctors appointment we came here to get coffee. Found them on Yelp. I believe it's a new place cause I haven't noticed it before. Friendly customer service and chill ambiance. Lots of indoor seating and two tables outside. I ordered two iced lattes for me and my mom to go. Both of us didn't drink it cause all we tasted was the milk, no coffee flavor whatsoever. I should have gone back and changed it to something else but we were in a hurry so I left it alone. Hopefully their other drinks are better

Sooo delicious and creamy I was thoroughly surprised. Kind of a hidden gem? The prices are pretty good for the quality of matcha. The inside is really nice and such a cute place to come study. Service is friendly and welcoming. Definitely a dupe for community goods if you don't want to drive way out there and wait in a line!

the matcha here is so so good, the quality is definitely the best i've had in glendale. there's also plenty of seating and it makes for a great study spot with wifi and nearby parking structure that's free for 90 min

So many people define themselves as experts. Sadly, many of those same people will walk in and say things like, "Gosh, I'm tired, could you make me a double espresso?", clearly assuming that stronger taste automatically means more caffeine. My wife and I simply like a good coffee in the morning. Which leads to the obvious question: what do we define as "good coffee"? For us, it helps us get into the day, tastes pleasant, and does not leave a bitter note. We are absolutely not coffee experts and can discuss coffee, at best, at what we Germans would call "Thekenniveau" -- bar-counter level. I do understand, however, that it may make a difference whether beans were roasted weeks or even months ago somewhere remote, then shipped and stored, or whether they were roasted locally and recently. So we asked ChatGPT, and one of the recommendations was REGENT Coffee in our neighborhood. We went. Our directive was very clear: we explained that we knew little to nothing about coffee, which was precisely why we had come in and were looking for advice. The lady helping us started with: "Well, it all comes down to the settings of your coffee machine when you pour your espresso." I responded that we are not really espresso drinkers -- we drink Americano. She gave us "the look" and explained that an Americano is espresso with more water. The information: fair enough. The way it was communicated: not ideal if your goal is to win me as a customer. From there, the conversation did not really lead anywhere. We were asked questions such as whether we preferred nutty or fruity coffee. That may be a perfectly reasonable question for someone who already knows what those terms mean in practical taste terms. But we had just told her that we did not. That was the entire reason we were there. We were not looking to prove our coffee knowledge. We were looking for someone who had the expertise to guide us. In the end, we bought an Americano. It was served so hot that my wife burned her mouth in the car, and it took almost the entire 45-minute drive to Santa Monica before it had reached what we considered a comfortable drinking temperature. It cost $5. And we did not even particularly like it. Would I go again? No. Would I recommend REGENT based on this experience? No. What makes this particularly disappointing is that this was a tremendous lost opportunity to turn us into long-term customers. We like expert advice. We drive to Farmers Markets to buy fresh produce knowing full well that we may pay 200% more for something that is perhaps only 15% better. But we can taste the difference, and that makes it worthwhile to us. Coffee could have been exactly the same. If I specialized in coffee, I would make it incredibly easy for people like us to enter that world. I would offer tastings. I would explain, in simple language, what "nutty", "fruity", "chocolatey", "bright", "smooth" or "low acidity" actually mean in the cup. I might offer a short class on how to set up a home coffee machine properly. Maybe even machine-specific sessions. Maybe in the shop. Maybe at the customer's home. Because there are customers walking through the door saying, quite literally: "We know very little. We want advice. We are willing to spend money." And even better from a business perspective: Not just money once. Continuous money. Imagine if the conversation had instead started with: "I totally understand where you are coming from. Coffee can become unnecessarily complicated very quickly. Since you mostly drink Americano and want something smooth rather than bitter, let me give you two small tastes so you can understand the difference. Then I'll recommend one bean to start with." We would almost certainly have bought a bag. Possibly two. And if we had liked them, we might have bought beans there for years. Instead, they sold us one tiny cup for $5 over the counter, while the payment screen suggested an 18-25% tip. And two potentially very loyal customers walked out frustrated. That, to me, is the real business lesson here. It is not about whether REGENT makes good or bad coffee. Taste is subjective. It is about recognizing the customer who is standing right in front of you. Especially when that customer is effectively saying: "Please teach me how to spend more money with you." And then making sure you do not send them home without doing exactly that. Small caffeine footnote: espresso is more concentrated in caffeine per ounce, but a normal serving of drip coffee usually contains more total caffeine than a single espresso because the serving is much larger. Stronger taste does not automatically mean more caffeine.

Unfortunately, the experience was the complete opposite. Despite having only six tables, the wait was extremely long. My Eggs Benedict with avocado and salmon took about 30 minutes, and my daughter's food arrived another 15 minutes later. My coffee came even later--and was the wrong drink. The salmon was dry, tough, and brown around the edges. The bread was dry and so difficult to cut that I practically gave up. The coffee tasted terrible. I went to the counter and politely explained the problems and asked if I could get something else. I was told no because the food is made to order. I also explained that I had ordered a hot espresso, not an iced coffee, but was told I hadn't specified that. The young woman said she would get the manager. We waited another 15 minutes, and no manager ever came to our table. So we left.
