HORRIBLE! I would leave zero stars, but that's not an option! Leafe it to me is operating without a license. No insurance or bond.. Furthermore Brent continues to make bids and then when the job is complete tries to collect three times over what the original bid was. Rarely shows up on the job after multiple requests to help communicate with his workers. We tried multiple times to communicate with him after the job was complete, but he was, in his words "too busy with his mom on another very important client that is more important than your job. " I would recommend staying far away from this business. read more

I have been a customer for several years. I started with big requests (mulch delivery and spreading) and now receive 2x month yard service. This has improved my happiness substantially. My husband always has an excellent idea for restoring the lawn to its former glory. It looks fine to me, but there is a youtube video with instructions on improving it. I just need a neat and tidy yard. It's the same feeling you get when someone cleans your home. You fall in love all over again. Try this company. People answer the phone. They call with questions. If you want to keep your tree an old growth don't hire this one. My tree was butchered.

I have used Brent and his team to build two separate fences and they did a great job both times. On time and on budget. They also put up a fence for my neighbor and did some landscaping for her. Also did a great job for her. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

We just had Brent and some of his crew out for the third time since we bought our house. Our lot is surrounded by huge bushes and overgrown wisteria among other things. 2 guys came out about 8:00 AM and worked solidly until about 4:00 with just a short lunch. Everything we needed done was completed and we were thrilled with the job they had done. Before having them out we did get bids from two other similar crews and Leaf It To Me came in with a bid that was almost 50% lower than the lowest other bid. Since we had used them twice before we were comfortably with what the quality of work would be. We were not disappointed and we saved a boatload of money. Wow!!! These guys were AMAZING!!! They restored our big, overgrown yard into the lovely secret garden that made us buy our house in the first place. They went above and beyond and were incredibly professional and amazingly affordable! Great attention to detail; nicely trimmed edges; kept the natural beauty of our yard intact; they really know what they're doing. Brent was very easy to contact and very flexible with scheduling. He even came out on the first day of snow last week and gave us a free estimate! And, he and his crew were very nice and polite. Brent and his team did an excellent job fixing a "bad bark" job. They removed the old stuff and replaced with new ground cover with expertise! Not a bent flower or broken plant! Leaf it to me took advantage of my senior widowed mother. She hired him to come out to our property on Vashon to smooth out the yard for my wedding this summer. After paying him $4,500 the yard is in complete shambles, most of it worse than when they started. The parts that they "fixed" are smooth and they planted grass that is growing but the transitions are rough and they left random patches of ungroomed un seeded ground that make no logical sense. Knowing that this was for a wedding, and where the ceremony site was they failed to smooth the ground at the ceremony site and pushed a pile of debris to the edge of the woods in a very conspicuous spot right next to where the ceramony is going to be. They worked in the yard in the rain and left tractor prints in the muddy grass in the spots where the grass didn't come up completely, however grass was pulled up leaving 50 ft set of tractor prints in the middle of the yard where there was no work needed, basicly ruining an area that was fine to begin with. They seeded the "smoothed" patches in the yard with a grass seed that is not what we already have down so now the lawn is a lumpy patchwork quilt. As well as the 50 of tractor prints now look like green racing stripes through the yard. Maybe you can hire this person to trim your hedges or weed your garden, but as far as any kind of actual landscaping.....stay far away!!! As the new landscaper she hired said.....the name itself should have been a red flag. "Leaf it to me" I'm posting highlighted photos of the poor job they did. read more

Called these guys to come by and pick up some yard waste. First of all, they call and give us a time estimate of when they will be there. No show. Wait around and they don't show up. Then a day later someone else calls and they say they were referred by Leaf It To Me because Leaf IT To Me was too busy. What? THESE GUYS ARE THE WORST! There is so much mis communication AND very unprofessional. I paid 1K to have my yard pruned and cleaned up, the job was so bad, I had the owner come over and do a walk through and showed him all of the dead branches, weeds in the sidewalk, etc.... I gave them a few more chances to improve, which they did slightly. This is the only reason for 1 star and not zero stars. Then... I asked for only 4 out of 7 Pampas grasses to be pruned, and I mean I asked, and explicitly explained which ones to Brenda the "office manager". She assured me that it would be done correctly and even offered to be at the house with the guys ("who don't speak English", Brenda's words). Guess what? All 7 were cut down, and Brenda wasn't there! I am beyond upset and would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Do yourself a favor and hire someone else. read more

I am THRILLED with this company!! My experience with Brent, Lisa and"the entire crew was 110% TOP NOTCH. From start to finish the service I received was professional, completely customer focused and my yard turned out impeccable! Superb communication and their bid's were CLEAR with no surprise charges. I have 2400 square feet of yard that was in DIRE need of HELP so I can sell my house. My realtor referred me to Brent. His huge crew swooped in to save the day & completed every task included in the bid in 3 days! It's obvious Brent takes care of his crew well! It's a fact employees who are happy w/ their employers will produce quality work bc they care about the end result. All 3 days I witnessed his crew constantly working. Not one single member of his crew was sitting just sitting around doing nothing. I've been dealing with contractors for months bc I'm remodeling every single room in my house. This is one contractor who I didn't have to babysit! Leaf It To Me proved exactly what they promised. I wish all contractors operated like Brent & his crew! I agree with the other review on here. I have been using there services since last summer. After a string of bad experiences with other contractors that did not live up to their promises and ones that did not show, I was very skeptical of Brent and his company. I was very pleasantly surprised the first time they came out. Brent was professional as are his crews. My yard looks beyond fabulous. I love the attention to detail that they use and how they go above and beyond to make sure my yard is looking good all the time. They sent out a guy to give me an estimate the day after I called, and within two days I had a crew in my yard working magic. The guys were great, very responsible, easy to work with, and FAST. This is truly a gem of a business. We have a small business in Seattle, which was in dire need of street front beautification. After calling a few different companies for bids, this company came ready with their best ideas for how to best make this old building look like somebody cares. Labor for this kind of work can be expensive, but they were well within reason for the amount of work we needed. TWO days of hard work, and they (along with their hardworking crew) truly improved not just our business, but the neighborhood surrounding us. It's park-like, and inviting. The owners listened to what we wanted, and went above and beyond. Even helping with the bad plumbing out front so we can water all these lovely new plants. Low maintenance ,beautiful greenery (with a few flowers)! They did what they said they were going to do, and were easy to contact when we had a question. They did an okay job with most of the basic stuff--we weren't paying for a high-end landscaping service, so we could only complain so much. Their crews are pretty clearly day laborers, not expert gardeners, so they made the kind of mistakes that people who don't know gardening would make: they would chop down and pull up stuff we'd planted, and leave the weeds to go wild. But what finally did it was that I had two shrubs that have a lot of sentimental value--gifts from a favorite aunt, who's now dead. Every winter they kept "pruning" them--actually, whacking them down to almost nothing. They did NOT need pruning at all, but they certainly didn't need that kind of assault. So I told their boss: tell your guys to just leave those shrubs alone. Any maintenance they need, I will do it. Next year, they whacked them back again. We told them in writing, we told them by phone, we told them in person, again and again: DO NOT TOUCH THOSE SHRUBS. Nothing. Nada. No matter how they look, no matter what you think you heard, DO NOT TOUCH THOSE SHRUBS. We will NEVER, EVER want you to do anything whatsoever to them. Just pretend they aren't even there. If in doubt, return to the previous instruction: DO NOT TOUCH THOSE SHRUBS. *EVER.* It wasn't a complicated request. It shouldn't have been that hard. I can't believe we actually gave them as many chances as we did. After the third time (or was it the fourth?) that they butchered my shrubs, we said, that's it. I will cut the lawn with cuticle scissors before I let these idiots in my yard again. read more

I had a quote to do yard work on a neglected home in the mid $2K area to prepare it for sale. It was in pretty bad shape. After 2 days of work I was then told the actual price was over $3K. My elderly mom had used them multiple times in the past and had been satisfied so I went ahead and paid. One month later I called to have the same lawn mowed, to do some light weeding and perhaps sprinkle some beauty bark on the (small) front yard. I was in error not to get a quote. I had expectations of perhaps $200. Would you believe it the bill came in at almost $800. I didn't see what could have cost that much especially after having so much work done just 30 days prior. There were apples under the one apple tree that weren't even picked up. I told them I was not satisfied....three times. I also said that I may write a negative review as a result of the cost being so much more than I had expected. If I was the owner I would have personally came out (or had the worker come out) to show and explain exactly what was done so I could have had a better closure. However I only had multiple calls and conversation with the girl who works there asking where she could meet me to collect my money. I did pay in full. My suggestion is to find another outfit to do your yard maintenance. The neighbors have one that comes in once a year to revamp their property cutting/hauling brush and putting down fresh beauty bark with a charge of $500. read more
