They deserve no stars whatsoever. STOP, RUN as fast as you can from Leaf Filter installation. They are worthless! Leaf Filter does not do what their propaganda asserts. Water flows between the gutter and facia as well as over washing the entire gutter in certain areas. I wish I had known about two previous class action law suits against them. I understand the litigants got 3 free gutter cleaning for this supposedly lifetime guaranteed system. What a crock! I also wish I had not believed the sales pitch by their salesman. They do not do what is claimed by their salesman, nor what they have in their printed advertisement. Leaf debris sits on top of the filter allowing water penetration behind the gutter and over the gutter. Filter was installed in April 25, not even in the leaf shedding season and they DO NOT WORK as advertised. I already had properly functioning, newly painted gutters prior to their installation of the filters on top of y existing gutters. The cost was over $8300 for the non functional, leaf filter screwed into my existing gutters. I have had them back to my house for repairs 5 times in the two months I have had these atrocious filters on my house, trying to correct the dysfunction of their leaf filter system. I HATE IT. I would give a zero but that's not an option. This company does not pay their subcontractors. In turn the subcontractors, sue customers that have already paid Leaf Filter. Late Review from June: I had a home estimate appointment set at Lowes for 30March2024. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Two days prior, a representative named Adam calls me to confirm the estimate appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Before Adam's call, I heard horror stories of the extremely high price of their product so I told Adam not to waste their time if the high price horror stories were true, [[HIGHLIGHT]]Adam reassured me that they were reasonably priced.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FF: to 30March2024, [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Sales/Estimate guy David showed up on his appointment day and reasonably on time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I do NOT live in a mansion or anything, my home is single story, and L shaped, so no special equipment was necessary. I only needed one 10ft down-spout replaced and approximately 192ft of Leaf Filter. The installation would have been mostly a straight shot with only one miter cut. For one down spout and Leaf Filters installed I was quoted a whopping $8598.00! The mark up on this product is extremely high. I declined the service. David took off 10% for my military service and presented me with $7738.00! Again I declined the service. David asked me for my in-store Lowes coupon which took off 20% and presented me with $6190.00! Once again I declined the service and went inside. About 30 minutes later the David knocks on my door and tells me that he's new and has only been with the company for a few days and needs to make a sale. He says his boss gave him authorization to give me his employee discount and presented me with approximately $2700 (iirc because he didn't write this number down on paper and my Lowes work order history mysteriously disappeared from my account). David was now at my house for about FOUR HOURS so I felt bad and agreed. We set an installation appointment for 19June2024. FF: to 27April2024 at 09:12. A guy named [[HIGHLIGHT]]Chris with Leaf Filter sends me a message saying He sees my appointment for June2024 and asked if I would push my appointment up to April2024 because they are slow on work and to call him back if I want to proceed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And that is all he says and asks (This is important, I still have the text message). FF: to 18June2024 [[HIGHLIGHT]]I call and text Chris asking when I should expect his work crew to show up. No answer, no response.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] FF: to 19June2024 (Installation day) I am up, ready, and outside by 07:00 making my driveway clear for a work crew, I weed whack around the perimeter where I assume work will be performed. Around 08:00 and 08:15 I call Chris to ask when I should expect them to show up with no answer. A minute later I call the 800/866 number. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The first lady verifies that I have an account and says that she does not see me on the schedule for today. She says she will message the local manager to give me a call to see if they can come out today.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Approx. one hour later I call the 800/866 number again, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the next lady verifies me. I tell her I called a hour ago and haven't received a call yet, she says she sees the note sent to the local manager, she says she will add onto that note and mark it urgent.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I tell her if they don't show up by 12:00 to cancel the entire work order. She assures me that the local manager will call me back this time. Around 11:30 I call the 800/866 number. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The third lady verifies me. As she's reading the notes I tell her I've been waiting for a call for about 3.5 hours. She informs me that in April2024 when I didn't allow Chris to push my appointment up he notated in the system that I did not want to push my appointment up to April AND that I refused to confirm my JUNE appointment so he canceled my work order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Because I am not on the schedule I would have never received a phone call today. She said she isn't sure why the first two ladies told me I would receive one. A poor customer experience at the quoting process. I chose another supplier with local ties and leadership.

Don't purchase. Design allows debris, leaves to not carry off the roof and gutter guards. Once this happens, which is fairly quick, rain will sheet off the gutters defeating their purpose. You will be required to get on a ladder and clean/brush the guards at least twice a year for them to work ..... just like your gutters did prior to getting them installed! Life time warranty? They will not respond to a warranty request, but did send a sales flier a few days after my warranty request .... to install new guards that are obviously a bad design and bad idea. Wish I could have joined the class action lawsuit and got something back for a bad product and no warranty response. Don't buy this product! read more

Installation was horrible!! The team-- was one person- he didn't want to come back a second day so he stayed until 10pm to complete the job. He never cleaned up. Didn't move patio furniture back, just dumped all the debris from the old gutters all over my flower beds and light cedar mulch walkways. I spent 2 hours cleaning up his mess!! read more

He sets the install up for that following Monday. Monday comes and the just one guy shows up in his own personally owned van and I greet him at the door. Googled "gutter cleaning" and LeafFilter came up. Told the person who contacted me by phone to schedule an estimate visit that I needed gutter cleaning. A tech showed up on time and then told me he couldn't price the job because they don't DO gutter cleaning. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I had my Leaf Filter Gutter Guards installed in 2021. They were installed improperly and I had a long standing leak in my roof that resulted in the sheet rock coming down in my finished garage. Leaf Filter fixed the system and took down the sheet rock, the service manager Tyronn was in my ceiling removing sheetrock. They said to send them my contractors bill for putting in new sheet rock and repairing the hole. Tyronn said payment would go out September 15th. Leaf Filter still hasn't paid the invoice and no one from Corporate Customer service or Raleigh service will call me back. I would not recommend Leaf Filter; they are highly disorganized and the company is lacking integrity. read more

This was a fiasco, my first install was changed to a different date and time and no one let me know. After I called and FINALLY got someone from corporate hq on the phone, they stated they would have the local LF people contact me. Nothing. Then a few days later a crew should up after 5:00 pm to install the filters, which the wrong colored guttering. I sent them away. They returned the next day and did a decent job. I had Leaffilter installed on my Littleton, NC home in August. I have experienced some problematic leaks at the joints where they caulked. I spoke with the Manager, James Iffland, who advised me that the original installer would be best equipped to rectify my problems. I have now called twice this week (week of October 10th) and I keep getting the same response that someone will call you back. I have yet to receive a response and after spending $8,300 on this system, I feel that they only want your money but "customer satisfaction" is not one of their priorities. I met with a rep on September 21st. He was very aggressive; he gave me 35% in discounts. I declined to sign his overpriced contract which required a deposit. But under high pressure and stating I would lose 15% of my discounts and promising in writing that my deposit check would NOT be cashed until my 3 days to cancel was up. That evening I went online an read their reviews and immediately decided cancel with the.. next morning I called to notify them and was told they had already deposited my $3000.00 deposit Check! Now they won't pay my money back. I've called the local office every day who directs me to call the home office who tells me to call the local office back, and on and on. Chris Magee was very patient and answered my questions as we discussed options for gutters and the Leaf Filter. I did feel a little pressured and he would not leave until I signed a contract, even though I said several times I needed to think about it. I decided to just get the Leaf Filters installed and am THRILLED with my decision. The installer was on time and notified me that the gutters looked fine. It took him a few hours and everything looked good. There was a lot of debris (screws, plastic parts, and metal pieces) around my house from the work the installer did. The installer did clean out all of my gutters and did blow most of it off of the sidewalk and driveway. With all of the rain that we have experienced in NC the last few weeks, I have to admit the gutters are free-flowing and not blocked at all! I cannot believe it! I have TONS of pine trees and the pine straw and pine cones just blow off or flow off of the gutters. I am so happy with the Leaf Filter product! read more

No installation yet, but the sales process was painful. After the salesman measured our home, I expected a quote. Instead, the salesman started in on a 30+ minute presentation. No matter how many times I asked him to get to the point, he kept flipping through pages of meaningless crap. Felt like a time-share presentation. Finally got to the quote. Started at an unacceptable $9,000. My advice is don't bite on the first price. After another 20 minutes, we agreed on a price of $3,000. About $12.50 per linear foot. We spent a fortune on leaf filter, as they promised to not only clean, but also to seal our gutters. Installation was done by 1 person, who was cleaning our gutters with his bare hands, until o gave him a scoop I had purchased. 2 workers showed up, dropped off 1 ladder and boxes of materials, then 1 worker left for the remainder of the day. The install was 3/4 done when the rain came. I told the installer that it wasn't a rush, so he could come back tomorrow when it was dry. How could the caulk adhere and dry in the rain? Well, it didn't!. I was then told he "had to finish the job today, or else I won't get another job tomorrow". The worker then continued to install and then completed the job in the rain. We were told when we signed the contract that the gutters would be cleaned, all joints waterproofed with their 50 year warrantied caulk, and the job would take at least 2days to complete. 6 months later we are dealing with perpetually leaking gutters! DO NOT PAY THE MONEY TO INSTALL LEAF FILTER! They lie to hook you in and then put you in a perpetual patch the gutters mode! If they only installed what they promised! read more

LeafFilter was extremely quick to come out, give me a quote, and take A LOT of my money. They even got the product installed in a relatively timely manner. Unfortunately, after that, things went down hill in a hurry. My LeafFilter does not work as advertised. While it keeps pine straw and leaves out of the gutters, instead all of it just gathers on top of the LeafFilter product. As a result, it's like the gutters are clogged as the water still just flows across the top of the pine straw and leaf covered product and over the sides of the gutters as opposed to into the gutters and down the down spouts. So I STILL have to get up on a ladder on a regular basis and clean off my gutters. If I still have to do that, what is the point of LeafFilter?!?!? I called and LeafFilter sent somebody out while I was at work one day. Rather than fix the problem, they just cleaned the pine straw and leaves off... all of which quickly reaccumulated on top of my LeafFilter gutters. I called again and scheduled another service appointment with LeafFilter, this time taking off work so I could be there when they showed up. Unfortunately, they stood me up. They never showed up and didn't bother to call me. I called back and was put in contact with the area manager. He told me he would call me back the next business day to reschedule... over a week later and nothing... no email, no phone call, no voicemail, no text message, no message by courier pigeon. I called back to LeafFilter's corporate office again and was put in contact with the next higher level manager. He made another appointment and promised me that a crew would show. He even gave me his number and told me to call if there were any issues. When time came for that appointment, again no one showed up. I tried calling the manager and left a message when no one answered only to receive an automated text message response. Now having been blown off three times. I called back to the corporate office again and spoke with the southeast regional manager. His proposed solution was for me to just take the rest of the day off work at my own expense and they'd get some one over to my house at some point that day. I can't do that! Some of us have jobs! I'm still waiting for these guys to fix the gutters. We'll see what happens and whether or not LeafFilter makes things right. First, they'll actually need to show up to an appointment. Bottom line, they are quick to make the sale but the service ends there. The LeafFilter product is extremely expensive, especially considering how they don't even work. I still have to get up on a ladder on a regular basis to clean the pine straw and leaves off the LeafFilter. Product was installed and since then we have a number of leaks that never existed before that. 5 service calls later and the problems are still not fixed. I have called the customer service line 8 times asking to speak with a manager. Each time I have been assured that a manager would call me back within 24 hours. I'm still waiting for that call! My 30-minute, "no obligation" gutter estimate turned into 2 hours, a hard hit on my credit and being steamrolled into financing a several thousand dollar offer. When I called to cancel later that day, I was told that was fine, but that someone would probably be reaching out to try and change my mind. Which they certainly did. The following business day I called the bank to close my recently opened account - which is what they signed me up for when I opted for financing- not just a pre-approval. They deceptively opened an actual credit card, hard hitting my credit. The bank then tells me a hold has been put on my credit for the full amount of the new gutters (several thousand dollars for my very small house), that wasn't even scheduled to be done until April 2022. (!!!!) But the very best part of this ridiculous nightmare is what happened next. I called the person back who was meant to change my mind, and tell him my experience, and ask for a written cancellation email confirming I'm not obligated. He says that magically there was a commercial job that ordered too much product so I can get the new gutters for less than half of my original quote! I say, "No thank you. I'm still going to pass." ... to which he replied, 'okay' and HUNG UP ON ME. I even tried him back a few minutes later, opting to give him the benefit of the doubt. He of course didn't answer the call, nor did he call me back later. Here we are the next day, and nothing. A grown man...hung up the phone when he didn't get what he wanted. Unbelievable. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, PLEASE READ!!!!  I want to warn as many people as possible. Based on my opinion and experience I would consider them a borderline scam.  I got their gutter guards over 2 years ago.  My house was brand new at the time and I was leaving it empty for a year while working aboard.  I have a lot of trees and wanted to make sure my gutters don't get clogged.  So I rushed the purchase and did not do my research. First off, the sales experience was very shady.  The sales person said he was offering me all types of discount and it was best price he can give me.  He actually did a fake phone call to his manager asking for more discounts.  I know he was pretending bc my area was a new development and the phone reception is poor to non existent.  I paid close to $5000 for a typical 3000sqf house.  As you can read from other reviews their prices can start from $5000 and go down to $1000 depending on how hard you bargain.  Overpaying might not be so hard to swallow if their product actually worked. Returning 1 year after working aboard, I finally got to see if the gutter guards are performing as they should.  I noticed during any rain storm the gutters over flowed.  I contacted them a few times and they sent a person out two times.  Both did brief inspections and said there was nothing they can do.  After multiple calls  and threaten of refund they sent a third person to do a "water test".  During this test the person realized gutters were all clogged with debris.  The people who did the initial installation never cleaned the gutters out!  They just installed the guards directly on top.    So for a year while I was away,  my gutters were over flowing and damaging my house.  I demanded an answer on how this can happen.  They gave me a BS answer saying "this not who we are and I assure you the people responsible will be punished".   No resolution or refund. So you would think this will solve my problems. Nope.  I am stilling getting over flows.  I have mold and algae growing on my steps and driveway from all the overflows.  I can't even use my front door when it rains bc of the heavy overflows.  The guards actually restrict the flow of water going into the gutters.   Debris also builds up on the guards and you need to constantly clean them to prevent clogging.  I really don't see the point of having them if you still have to clean them. I asked them many to remove them and refund my money,  they have refused.  I have reported them to the BBB and current looking into legal options. Please just save your money.  There are much better and cheaper options out there. The product is superior to others and the quality is as advertised. The installation was smooth. After further inspection I found some some alignment to be off and I called Customer Service. They immediately schedule an installer to return and it was corrected. Now when it rains, the water is gushing out of my gutters and I cannot understand that there is so much water being properly filtered and routed away from the house. Clogged gutters will allow seepage under your roof. Then it rots, and you have a bigger problem Very happy with the product and customer service response. After having this product for approximately 1 year and a return visit from the repair people my gutters still glow up and over run when it rains hard. Pubs piling and slime fill the screens at the valley and need regyckezning. So if I am going to continue to clean my gutters my money was thrown away. Leaf Filter installation date, 4/18/2020 My house is surrounded by large trees and I really liked the idea of protecting the gutters. I was stunned by how expensive they were but the salesperson assured me that no more water would be overflowing the gutters. I would never again risk getting up on a ladder and cleaning them out myself or paying someone else to do it. In the first moderate rain after installing Leaf Filter gutter guards, not a tropical storm, and the gutters around the front porch were overflowing. Not enough water was getting into the gutter. I made a service call and a technician arrived within a few days. He assessed the situation and installed a metal splash guard on the front of the gutter. There was already a guard in the corner section of gutter, but he extended the guard and added more silicone to stop leaks. The first heavy rain after that water still flowed around the new splash guards and was also forced back into the ceiling. This was not happening before. Now water was flowing into the soffit and behind the exterior vinyl siding. The siding has a small drain hole at each end and I could see water coming out of the holes around the front door. I called in to Leaf Filter, (the 800 number for service), approx. August 10th to describe this new situation. She said she would forward the information to the local office. No answer, no contact from local office. Left another message due to high call volume a week later. No reply or answer. August 27th; After another service call to Leaf Filter, (successful), an experienced technician came out to inspect and advise. The message was delivered quickly and resulted in next day service. I was optimistic about a solution. The Leaf Filter Tech, Jeff (I think), showed me a new product designed for higher water volumes. Instead of small holes in the plastic guard, it was all longer slots. This updated product should have been installed in the first place, but he said this was not available at the time of installation. He felt replacing the old product with this new one, would fix the water overflow problems and we could remove the water diverters or splash guards. Water damage can be a serious issue not only to the house itself but also under the house and into the crawl space. My front yard slopes toward the house so diverting water away from the front is a high priority. Having the same water problem in the front of the house after spending $4700, makes me feel like I have been scammed. The technician today, (8/27/2020), informed me that Leaf Filter will not replace the inadequate gutter guards unless I am willing to pay an extra $1400+. That is not for new gutters, that is just for the newer, updated product around the front porch. This is under warranty. The product is defective and not performing as agreed upon. I am willing to pay a difference in materials cost. Leaf Filter refused. What I am looking for is that all rainwater from the roof be diverted safely away from the house. I have no problems except around the front porch. I am not talking about a full refund or free product. I paid $4700 for a 2100 sq ft home and the main problem is still there. I think it is reasonable to get a refund for the 70 or so feet installed on the front gutter or that a replacement product be offered that will accomplish the goal. Increasing the price from $4700 to $6100 is not a solution. read more

The salesman said I had 274 linear feet of gutter and spent 20 minutes going through a presentation. I kept interrupting him to get to the price. He said he would but this first. Finally I insisted. He quoted me $10,500. I said I wasn't interested. He then said he had some "year end sales" and quoted $4,500. I still wasn't interested. On the way out it became $3,500. After he left I did a rough measurement and my gutters are well under 200 linear feet. He lied about my job size and waaay overpriced my initial quote. AVOID!!! read more

Time will tell the efficacy of this product but the business practices leave something to be desired. The installer was awesome-very efficient, courteous, and eager to share photos of what he saw on the roof. We quickly learned, however, that all of the promises and bluster from the salesman were a gtoss exaggeration. Cleaning, repairing, recaulking, repitching....not so much. Our salesman was fast talking. A $4000 discount was quickly offered when we hesitated-but only if we agreed 'right now.' Felt like a shakedown. Is full of shit.. if I was you I'd advise to go elsewhere.. I did work for them for about 2-3 months and didn't get paid a dime.. they literally slaved me and didn't pay me.. and the morrisville management is the worse ever.. The manager Jim McGee told me to fuck off when I asked about money they owed mi,, the rest blocked my number.. I wouldn't advise nobody to install for them.. We met with a salesman on a Saturday around lunch time and we were interested in buying gutters for our house, not the gutter covers. He walked around the house with my husband and pointed out spots in our siding that were becoming damaged as a result of not having gutters. Then he came inside and we discussed with him that we did not want to spend a lot. We had a coupon that we received at a festival nearby and he also told us about there credit line through Wells Fargo. So we chose to go with the 3 years no interest plan through them. Someone came out the same day and we had gutters within an hour of work. So happy with the service and timeliness of this company. read more
