Called to schedule an appt. for A/C maintenance and humidifier pad replacement based on Yelp! reviews. Owner called back, asked me to provide the type of humidifier and that he could probably be out to my home for service the following week. I later called and also emailed him the type and model of humidifier, as requested. Waited two days but never heard back. Very rude and unprofessional - guy just leaves you hanging with no follow up. His time is obviously more valuable than mine. Zero stars if possible! read more

Furnace went out during April 2020. Just happened to be cold and snowy of course. Got an appointment with a couple hour window. He showed in that time. Diagnosed the issue and stayed for testing and cleaning. Explained some things to me that will help troubleshoot in the future. Reasonable charge. Professional, courteous and clean. read more

A quick personal response, and friendly, honest, helpful service. We had been told by another company that our Central AC unit which had gone out in the middle of a heatwave would be about $3000 to repair and we would be better off buying a new unit. Jim asked a lot of good questions on the phone, was knowledgeable about our model, and felt strongly he could repair it quickly and easily. Upon arriving he saw what was wrong in a matter of seconds and was able to have it running again within five minutes, and felt the unit had a couple years left in it. The AC unit only needed a $25 part. His fee was fair, and he didn't try to upsell us. When we do replace our unit in a year or so this will be my first call. read more

Had furnace and A/C replaced by him and he recommended an affordable unit as stated don't need all the bells and whistles as just more to break and the basic unit will do the job. Jim Leahy is as honest as you get! A few months ago, Jim spent countless minutes troubleshooting over the phone my problem that we initially thought was a thermostat problem. He could have easily sent someone out, charged a fee and didn't until it was necessary. Who does that in this day? He than sent out a quiet, capable, efficient technician to fix the problem replacing the motor at a fraction of what it would have cost for a new furnace. (By the way, I can't tell you how many local repair shops only wanted to talk in the past about me buying new furnaces, (I have two) instead of repairing them.) Once I even heard two Knuckle Heads, a salesman and the repair guy discussing their "sales plot" and that I could easily afford a new one in my kitchen loud enough so I could hear in the next room. :) I WOULD EASILY RECOMMEND LEAHY HEATING! I have used this company to repair my furnaces in my own home and in an apartment building I own (total 3 furnaces). Each time they were able to fix the problem at a reasonable price and did a great job. I have used this company about 4 times in the last 8 years. I also feel they are very trustworthy. We were in Mexico on vacation when our furnace went out in the apartment building. I had tenants who were freezing (0 degrees and snowy out!) with children. We called Leahy and they were able to go out to fix the furnace. They were very understanding and helped us deal with this since we were not coming back for several days. I was nervous about giving my credit card info to them without knowing what it would cost, but at the time we did not have any options. Furnace was fixed, tenants happy and warm and a charge of $150 for everything. That is pretty reasonable and we were thrilled. They have always responded and fixed the problem within 48 hrs of contacting them. They have also explained what the problem is and ways to prevent future problems. I recommend this company and will continue to use them in the future if needed. read more

I placed call for service on Friday evening and he called me same night to check on the issue and gave me some tips on how to troubleshoot. I would not recommend this company. After leaving message and calling several times needing service finally someone answered and apologized for not returning the call saying they had been very busy. I was told I would be contacted when they were on there way later that day but never received a call they just showed up at the door. They found the boiler motor needed bushings and they would replace coupler . The home visit with nothing being fixed was $135.00 only thing physically done was a few squirts of oil in the boiler motor and a promise they would call me when parts were located. I never recieved a call back from them. Brother in-law fixed problem a few days later it was the coupler $20.00 part. This company charges way to much for nothing really being repaired I think mabye it was good they never called me back who knows what the cost would have been if they actually fixed something. read more
