Picture it, It was around 7:30 PM in January (Today) and it is starting to snow and drop cold! Well I called the "other" heating company I worked with for many years, yet I was told by the Manager: "I am at home and it will have to wait until tomorrow afternoon". Ummmm, I have an elderly mom who cannot wait until tomorrow, so I got on YELP, called some friends and again Claudio Heating was recommended since its not far from me and the guy was honest. Extremely happy I did, I love YELP, and as an Elite 11, I take it very seriously! Mr Claudio (yes the owner) was extremely fair with pricing and wasn't looking to kill me financially (mind you I just paid mortgage) and his estimate was not even close to what I thought I would be paying. I was elated and proud to say that Claudio Heating and Cooling are now the pride of my Heating Business from now on. They sent a kid who tells me the issue may be a cracked heat exchange & carbon monoxide leaking because I told him I had gotten dizzy before he arrived. Instead of telling me at that point he doesn't have the proper equipment to detect a CO leak he runs out to his work truck several times looking for equipment he knew he did not have. When he finally comes clean about not having the equipment he needs, he says for me to call the Fire Dept. because they have the equipment. I'm foolishly thinking YOU ARE A HEATING REPAIR COMPANY if you don't have the equipment someone in your company should right? WRONG!! I called the owner who tells me they tell all of their customers in an instance like this to call the Fire Dept. Owner proceeds to say, because the kid drove here, spent 45 minutes removing screws which he should not have & feeding a camera with as the kid put it, "not very good picture" in the furnace he earned the fee. Kid told me furnace had rust. I had to call a reputable company and the Fire Dept. who both confirmed no CO. Real repair guy says there is no crack and showed me pictures of inside furnace with NO RUST. Thank God furnace is running properly. Not only did these guys make off with $141 of my money but had nerve to say once Fire Dept. comes out call them back, here is your call back!!!

The next day I checked B & Z advertisement on line and they had a question and answer section where they said that if the job was done by them they would not charge for the house call and also that there was a 10% discount for seniors. I called Bob, the owner the next day and he said he would look into it and has never called back. I called several times. Very disappointed. I thought this was an honest company.

Poorly installed commercial HVAC unit caused extensive leaking and damage to my tenants…read moreestablishments. Van Drunen dispatched a representative to inspect the work, but he denied the existence of the problem. After trial and error, we were able to localize the leak to where the vent connects to the unit. I went on the roof and sealed it myself. Meanwhile, the unit ran out of freon just after the warranty expired and causing all my tenant's food to spoil. The service representative was almost tauntingly rude to me when explaining the issue. I contacted a semi-retired HVAC man from Lansing who advised that someone drilled a hole in the unit to leak the freon. Use this company at your own risk. There are so many much more dependable and professional companies in the NW Indiana/South Chicago area.
