If I could give no stars I would. Came here Saturday night. Ordered before a huge crowd. So I thought. Incompetent bartender didn't place our order, and my friends, who ordered just after us, got their food but we didn't. Upon checking, the bartender realized her mistake, and said "Sorry about that Sweetie." First, I'm not your Sweetie. Second, tell that to my kids who were hungry. I cancelled the rather large order. Luckily I have awesome friends who shared their food and we had a great night in spite of this place. My husband said last time he was there the bartender tried to charge $50 for one beer. Leander Beer Market is probably the greatest places in Leander for a sip of something new and different. They always have a glass of something I have never had on tap and I have never been disapointed. As for customer service, they seem to only hire folks who are delightfully friendly and great with providing info on all their treats. Great service, great eats and drinks. Last night they also had great music playing, thanks to everyones jutebox involvement. And if you're in for some live music they have bands that play certain nights of the week. For those that have to keep moving they have pool and some great outdoor seating for all us animal lovers. read more

We had a bad experience a couple of years ago, we figured we would give it another shot. They have a good selection of beer, my wife had the margarita and it wasn't any good. The bartender made it an unpleasant experience, he was rude and unwelcoming. We go out to have a good time not for someone to make you feel uncomfortable. Okay, just the worst place for a drink. I did not get the service I would expect from a bar. Service was horrible. I paid for my one beer (cash) and walked out, no tip. Walked to my SUV up and got a bang on the window. A friend of the bartender banged on my door and told me go back in and pay my tab for the crap service I got. I can't recommend this place to anyone for poor service and then a friend of the bartender to walk up to my car beat on the door and tell me to go inside and pay the bill for poor sevice. read more

Poor service. Stood at bar for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement from the bartender. Eventually we got service and one of our group asked for a cider or fruit beer recommendation and didn't get much help. She opted for wine and after sitting down we saw many many cider and fruit beer options in the fridges! We saw later customers being invited behind the bar to look more closely at the options - something that was not suggested to us. It feels like a place where if you 'don't fit in' then you're not important. Do you love beer? Do you love options? Then just go - their pizza is pretty darn good as well, and they have some nice salads, sausage and meatball dishes with solid marinara souse. They get busy and you may have to be patient sometimes, and it's not a waiter/server style of place so just know that. The man in the beard that looks just like Brian Holtby (Capitals goalie) may be the owner, but regardless, he is the best man to talk with about beer and I just let him serve me. This is our favorite place to go for date night! We love trying all the different varieties of beer/wine and the food is incredible! We have never been disappointed in anything we have ordered. What I tried last night is my new favorite, baked meatball casserole!! It's basically a deconstructed meatball sub. The meatballs are giant, very tender and super flavorful!! Although this is our favorite date spot, it is also very family friendly as well! Next time you are looking for a good place to eat in the Leander area, you should give this place a try! Long overdue establishment in the area. I love the selection, the staff is great, the food is terrific, and the prices are just right. My only complaints are easy fixes that would greatly improve the ambiance. One, there is a wall of oddly placed booth seats and a table. No matter how busy the bar is, nobody sits there. You face the butts of those sitting at the bar. Those need to be replaced with four or five bistro tables and two/three tall chairs each table. It would open so much more space. Two, the chairs at the bar are crazy low. Maybe the ordered the wrong size? Three, on a Friday night it is brighter than a department store in there. Lower the lights, man. Make it feel like a place one wants to be late into the night. Still think it's a great place with lots more potential. read more

I don't give 5 star reviews often. Leander beer market isn't a great restaurant or a awesome micro brewery. What they they are is a family owed business with a great staff, over 150 plus beers pretty decent bar food and did I say a great staff. They let you sample the beers and make ur own six pack. Lucas the owner/manger is great conversationalist and knows all the beers and he remembers your name. All around great place with awesome sports coverage from ufc to soccer and all the in-between. 5 stars for Leander beer market. read more

Place has great potential. Only a couple of days open, but I think once they get things lined out I will be changing my review to 5 stars. Owner was great, staff was hustling, and a great beer selection. My wife and I didn't eat, but food looked very good. I will most definitely be back, and look forward to becoming a regular as it is on my way home from work. Certainly not trying to be critical, but couple of suggestions: Only one, unisex bathroom. In a beer bar, it will get a lot of use, so if expansion is ever in the plan, another bathroom would be great. The beer menu is 2 pages (front and back) and in no particular order. Recommend either breaking down by type (lager/pils/ipa/etc.) or by brewery. It was pretty confusing. Lastly, as the staff gets trained I'm sure they will become more knowledgeable about beer/breweries/etc, so not a huge deal there. Best of luck and looking forward to going back soon! read more

Leander has a quality tap and bottle. That is right, simple old Leander has a tap and bottle. Top flight craft beers. That means you are not going to find Budweiser! So don't be a putz and ask for it. The kitchen knocks out appetizers, pizzas and main dishes that are not your average pub food. The craft beer rotates. So the faster it gets drank. The faster the rotation. So come have a cold one. The pricing there is Leander pricing. Not south Lamar pricing. This place is another reason why it is great to live in Leander. read more

The calzone and Stromboli were so good! I also got a salad. All the ingredients were super fresh, even the salad! I wasn't expecting that from a small town bar. The food came fast. The only issue was the weird service. We walked in and no one acknowledged us. I then asked if we order from the bar and she said yes, but then never handed me a menu and walked away. I then had to stop her again and ask for a menu. Once we ordered, all was good. Maybe they were just understaffed that night. read more

Food is great. Service is good. The only thing I didn't like is they serve cocktails in plastic cups. They give samples of beer in small plastic cups you'd use to put salad dressing in a to go container. Drinks just taste better from glassware. Owner is super nice. I honestly haven't been yet but I have been reading a lot of the reviews and it seems like it is time to give it a try. I didn't even know the place existing and we love Luigi's. Seems like the reviews on the service have gotten better and better so hopefully know it will be good. I would like to say this to the owner. When commenting on people's reviews try and not say the same stuff every time. Thank you for your patronage on every reply just seems robotic and like you can't bother to come up with something better. Maybe something like, "Casey, great points, we will definitely address them. Thank you so much for coming in and we hope to see you again! " or "Mike, thanks for the praise! Please tell your friends and please give me a shout when you stop in again!". Not trying to be nit picky just when reading through multiple replys to reviews saying that can seem sort've disingenuous. Anyway, I grew up in Leander and the wife and I are always looking for a cool new place to try out and psyched if you do have Karaoke! Keeping fingers crossed for darts and shuffleboard! Would come here a lot more as the beer selection is great, good location. However, owners should know, the wait staff is consistently unpleasant. The girls make you feel like your bugging them by showing up, unless you're someone they recognize, then they are nice as pie. The shorter gal cut me off mid order to make a big deal about some guy walking in that she obviously knew. Then she walked away and I had to wait forever for her to return to our table. Rude as heck. Love this new spot we found a couple of months ago! Great food, with GF options a major bonus, great atmosphere - the bartenders are super nice n entertaining! Malory is especially helpful n knows our orders! Would be nice if you did an Antipasto Salad with salamis. Faults: not GF friendly in drink options n I always end up with cider... Your GF beers have traces of Gluten n having Celiac Disease I can't have them; I can only drink Redbridge, which you don't have. Wine is all BV n it sucks! Need better selection like Lucky Duck, Yellow Tail or something from Europe. Please, please, please get in Redbridge n better wine! Kind of sick of cider!! read more

Great hidden gem with great beer selection. The most surprising part of my visit was the calzone. It was tasty, big, and not too pricy. It sucks that this place is all the way in Leander but I bet the locals love that it is not too far. Parking could be a little tough if the place is packed. read more

Love this place. Friendly staff, not divey but not upscale either. Fair prices, HUGE beer selection (that's kinda their thing, btw), which allows us to try new stuff on their rotating taps or settle in with old favorites we've tasted on our travels (they stock some German beers that used to be a our regular brew when we lived in Oregon!). I'm a sucker for good spinach-artichoke dip, and theirs is fantastic. All the food is well-sized for the price; I'm always surprised how cheap the bill is after some apps and a couple beers. The gelato/coffee place in the back is cool too if you get a chance to check it out. read more
