Dr. Good is great, and so are the hygienists/assistants. As a dental assistant myself, i look for the same care i give to my kiddo patients(i work in pediatrics). Dr. Good is very gentle and did great localizing for my fillings, i had 0 discomfort and the treatment went very smoothly. My mother sees Dr. McCormick, who she has trusted and loves seeing for any dental issue/her routine cleanings. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for conservative/honest dentists. This office can not get their billing right. Wife and I have very good dental insurance. We both get two free cleanings yearly. Not hard to figure out. Yet we get letters in the mail of "Final Notice of Collection" for our teeth cleaning. It took them four months or more to get my wifes teeth cleaning bill billed properly. So I go went and got my teeth cleaned in June. Sure enough, I got a bill from them. Had to contact them four times and guess what, they still did not bill it right. Got another Final Notice of Collection. Were done. And don't let them put you in the stand up machine to do the 360 x-ray. You will be charged $125+ for this. I tell them when I went in, I do not need anything done other than normal x-rays and my teeth cleaned. Unreal. read more

Unfortunately, this practice has completely changed and been bought out by a corporation. Dr. Mccormick is no longer there. I went there recently having a lot of pain and was told I had two cracked teeth and a good deal of infection. I was in need of three things, antibiotic, pain control, and a topical rinse. The extremely rude Dentist refused to prescribe anything for pain or infection, and told me to just go on Amazon and order some weird rinse I had never heard of. And then charged me $200 for nothing. I went to another dentist and immediately was given everything that I need and I am getting my dental care there. Please stay away from this place. It has gone from a decent dental practice to one that is absolutely deplorable, and should be shut down. read more

I seriously don't understand the 5 stars! I'm a reasonable, calm person but on my 3 visits I have literally just been angry. I specifically said "no X-rays" if my insurance doesn't cover it. The first visit, I just hated the customer service, or lack there of. The 2nd visit..."oh you owe $$$ for this this this..." Today I go in thinking it'll be different. Nope! Oh you owe for the last visit and this much for this. I have insurance! I've been to 8 states and a variety of insurance companies and this place just keeps finding ways to charge me! The dental tech is horrible. I feel like I got my teeth massaged. They don't feel clean. All he did was clean off the shit from me not having time to brush bc I came straight from work. It's like he's afraid to scrape! And the dentist . Californian who gets paid a shit ton to spend 1 minute glancing. Very unreliable office. I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning as a new patient last April. The day before my appointment they called and canceled stating they were short staffed and rescheduled my cleaning for 9AM July 3rd, three months later. About a month later they called and asked if they could move my appoint to 7AM instead of 9AM "so they could close the office early for the holiday". I told them no, I wasn't interested in being at the dentist at all that day, and certainly not at 7am, when they were the ones to schedule it and I didn't want to wait another three months. On June 30th, they called again, asking if they could "move my appointment to 8AM so they would have time to do the teeth cleaning and comprehensive exam." I'm not sure how stupid they think their patients are, but I've had teeth cleanings before and I know how long it takes to have a "comprehensive exam" and I know darn well that I was scheduled for a cleaning and exam. I told the receptionist I knew they wanted to leave the office early and it was not "so they'd have time for cleaning" Next time, leave a note that you already called said patient and told them you want to close office early instead of making up a lie. Thanks for wasting my time, I will not be a patient in the future. If you're looking for a new dentist, don't even bother with this place. read more

Was looking for a new dentist when we moved to Leander and went here based on the reviews. I didn't love the feel of the office to begin with and how they pump patients in and out of there. The cleaning I received was just ok and then I was told I had a cavity where my 1 and only filling was. He said yep you're going to need to redo that, you have to redo all fillings every 3-5 years. My husband has an appt here a few weeks later and he was 10 minutes late and they wouldn't see him so he never went back. I found a new dentist that I recently went to see had x rays and was told I had no cavities and my teeth look greAt. Do yourself a favor and find a different office. These people are dishonest and well say whatever just to make money off of you. I'm honestly floored they have good reviews. read more

Dentists are decent, but shady with business practices. We ended up canceling all appointments and not returning because they dropped the in-network status for our insurance and did not tell us. We were patients for years. Well, they did tell us when one of our mouths were numb already. Hearing that the bill is more than double because they are now out of network when your mouth is already numb is b.s. and pretty shady...especially when they tried to work a deal instead of living up to the quoted pricing. I'd been looking for 6 months a local dentist for myself and kids. It needed to be able to take TRICARE United Concordia as a network provider for my insurance. Leander Dental Care proved to be outstanding. Excellent facility, great front desk reception, and a great dental team. They took care of me and my daughters, even coming to me while I was getting my teeth cleaned to answer any questions or have any areas I wanted them to concentrate on for my daughters (being seen at the same time)! Dr McCormick was my first encounter with a Dentist after a span of decades. I was frightened to visit, most of my past dental treatments were uncomfortable to say the least. Dr McCormick is so gentle and understood my fears. He explained everything. He didn't pass judgment in my lack of previous dental care. He offered a treatment plan that utilizes my dental insurance as much as possible. Fortunately when I started treatment I was still working full time and had great insurance. I can't leave my hygienist out of the equation!!! Nancy is a caring, compassionate person. She always takes time to listen. That first cleaning was very lengthy and actually required 2 appointments as scaling needed to be done too. Again-never passes judgment. Is as kind and gentle as a human being can be which translates well in her professional capacity. Frankly, I've had positive experiences here in all areas. The Team has grown due to the practice growth. Dr. McCormick must take good care of the Team as I haven't noted any staff turnover. The office which was already attractive and comfortable underwent a major expansion with additional state of the art equipment. You won't believe this, there are flat screen TVs built into the ceiling so that when you lay back in the chair for dental work you can actually watch TV!!! All this is great however it's really the team here with their attitudes and outstanding care that will keep me as their patient until I'm so old I can't make it in! I have been very pleased with the care at Leander Dental. I have significant damaged to my teeth due to cancer treatment, and have had 3 crowns placed in my mouth. Dr. Good has been very patient directed, in so doing I have able to pay for them in a pattern that I could manage financially. He does a good job managing my discomfort and is attentive to time in the chair. I had 2 crowns and a cavity taken care off at 1:30pm and was off the chair by 3:05 pm. My family of 4 all came to this office at least once within the last year. It's under construction currently and probably going to be beautiful when it's complete. The staff was always very nice. I mean that, very nice ladies. But I finally got fed up. We started feeling like we were coming to an appointment, about an appointment, about an appointment...... My final straw was when they kindly squeezed my 6 year old son in for what they called an "emergency appointment" since his tooth was hurting. Keep in mind- they already had him down for a treatment & had X-rays to confirm he had a cavity between 2 teeth. When we got there for the "emergency visit" the dentist asked him to point to where it hurt and had him X-rayed again since it was one tooth over from where they knew there was already a problem. This new X-ray showed nothing so he determined it was probably coming from the spot one place over and was ready to book another appointment for us to come back and have that fixed (WHICH WAS ALREADY SCHEDULED.). So nothing was done during this "emergency visit"...... I questioned Dr. M on this since I was under the understanding we were actually going to fix the problem that day. He said no, this was just an "emergency consult". Even if my son had pointed to the exact tooth which we knew had a problem, they didn't schedule enough time to fix it anyways. Yes, you heard that right, they squeezed him in for an appt knowing it wasn't enough time to solve any problems they may have found. This was a waste of my time and I kindly expressed that and questioned why they would do this. He was slightly flustered at me and said "I can't keep explaining this to you." I'm going to just explain this- I don't appreciate my money or insurance policy and time being wasted. My husband had already felt the same way when he came in for a cleaning and was scheduled to come in at another time. When you've seen us recently, and you know we have a cavity, and we come in earlier than the scheduled visit to fill the cavity b/c it's hurting, we expect to have it filled. Not just have you look inside. I'm no dentist. I've never worked for one and don't know the tricks fo the trade. But to me, this is exactly what's wrong with "health care" in America. I'll be very specific when scheduling appointments with a new dentist to avoid this trap. AND- to follow up- I found another dentist who saw his X-rays & fixed it all in one stop. No need to drag it out over the course of several visits. read more

I personally don't like a lot of small talk and chatter but it all depends on who you get. At least if you're talking my ear off, keep working while you do it. Was just here for a 6 month check up and got a clean bill of health NO cavities! Yay me! My son also saw Dr. Good he was caring and gentle with him too glad to hear NO cavities for him as well.
