Since moving to Lebanon recently, we have wanted to eat at this very popular establishment. Now that we have , we see why. A great pub menu in a classic open bar setting, very nicely done. So we decided to grab lunch on their-fundraising event recently for our local Lebanon Fire Company . My wife and I decided on their Pub Steak Sandwich platter. Wow! A loaded up thinly sliced roast beef, fresh mozzarella from Lebanon Cheese Company nearby. Caramelized onions and roasted red peppers along with an abundance of skinny fries. A home-run and the staff was also superb! We recommend this great local and popular bar. read more

Decided to give Lebanon Pub two chances before writing a review, but unfortunately the second visit did not change my opinion. The place just feels cheap, especially considering the prices. The popcorn they brought out was extremely stale, the napkins felt like the cheapest possible option, and overall the little details just did not match what they are charging. Came for dinner with my family and the service was also disappointing. We were only able to order one round of drinks because by the time our waiter came back around, we were nearly finished with our meals. For a pub, you would think checking back for another drink would be fairly standard. The biggest surprise was the pricing. The prices are shockingly high for the overall experience, food, service, and atmosphere. I wanted to give the place another shot before judging it, but after two visits I don't really see a reason to come back. Would not recommend. read more

We were in the area and needed somewhere to eat fast. My research here showed that it had good reviews. This location did not disappoint. The drinks, the outside and the meal were good. But the live entertainment on the patio brought it all back together. The glaze on my Brie burger was divine. It was crowded so the service was a little slow but not too bad. Maybe I'm being generous because I had such a delightful Sunday afternoon but I think I'll go 5 stars. First time here, wifey and I took a seat in their beautiful yard at the outdoor bar. The yard had about 5 large trees within the grounds as well as flowers and bushes. We were immediately greeted by one of the two bartenders that were friendly and attentive. There was about a dozen beer on tap so I sipped a blue moon while perusing the imaginative menu. We wound up ordering a roast beef sandwich accompanied by perfectly cooked hand cut fries. It was delicious. A guy was playing guitar and singing in the yard, which made the afternoon that much more pleasant. Later on we split their loaded nachos which came with a copious amounts of perfectly cooked pulled pork. If you're in the area I highly recommend this stop! read more

Terrible food. Bartenders weren't paying attention. Very nasty owner. We were there to see a band. There were 14 of us having a drink waiting for band to start and the band needed to leave because they were a rock band. Owner knew this prior. I watched in horror as the owner yelled at the band as well as the band there earlier. Stay far away from this establishment. Very unethical. read more

Beautiful outdoor area with a nice vibe, frequent live music and interactive nights like trivia especially on weekends. They have a nice drink menu and good selection of pub fare. Service is friendly and quick. I love that upon arriving you get a basket of popcorn. The popcorn looks unassuming but is really seasoned nicely and a great way to start off your meal. On my visit we got the sweet and spicy calamari, I wish there was more sauce but the flavors were there and it has a nice light and crispy breading. For my meal I ordered the steak sandwich, which was more of a roast beef, I myself do not consider that "steak" so much so I was a little surprised. The fresh mozzarella from Lebanon cheese co was supreme though, and I only wish there was more range in flavor, something to enhance all of the fresh quality ingredients already in the sandwich, which I think could have been easily achieved by adding a pesto or balsamic reduction. All in all this is a solid choice in the area. We had a good time vibing with the live music, and the backyard was a perfect setting for a nice autumn day. read more

My wife and I decided to try the new Lebanon Pub (formerly the Fox & Hound). It was an absolute mad house. It was packed at both entrances. We had a 40 minute wait, arriving at 6PM. We both started off with the French onion soup. They were filled with onions. I could've used more cheese on mine (I'm used to a ton of cheese on the side of the bowl). My wife wasn't a fan of the toasted bread on top. Every place has to do theirs a different way. My wife had the shrimp scampi with clams, while I went with the burger. The burger patty was nice and thick, cooked exactly as I asked. The bottom bun was a little soggy from the burger juices. The staff were all very friendly considering they were all probably stressed from how busy it was. If you do come here, use the entrance facing Main St. The one near the handicapped parking is on the opposite side of the building from the hostess station. read more

I've been here one other time and my experience was pretty much the same. We went for lunch and sat at the bar. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were very nice. The food was ok and lacked flavor. I had high hopes because when they put My sandwich in front of me it looked so good, but when I bit in I was disappointed. I personally wouldn't go here on my own decision, but if I were with a group and someone suggested it I would go again. read more

We informed the server that it was a debit card and not a credit card and that in NJ it is illegal to surcharge a debit card. manager said that they only except credit cards or cash. Nothing on the menu said such a thing. Hopefully they get that fixed. read more

I was in the area so I stopped in for a bite. I was by myself so I was seated at a table in the bar area. I ordered a glass of white Pinot Grigio and the waiter brought me a Sauvignon blanc instead. I did mention it to him when he finally came back he offered to get me another one but I was already done with my meal so I didn't want one and didn't finish the one I had because it wasn't what I wanted. He did know it was a mistake that they gave me the wrong one and did take it off the bill I guess he thought I would not notice. I had the smash burger and it was really good. I do like the pub at atmosphere. I would go back again although my waiter lack in service for me. Maybe he was covering another section or maybe it was because I was by myself. So I'll start with my honest experience as a food lover. We ordered the shrimp wontons and would say this about them! Well done! Executed nicely. The filling was delicious. Negative was the sauce. So I barely used and would for sure order the shrimp wontons again. My beautiful wife always almost will order the French Dip sandwich. Huge sandwich, so we shared. Execute well. Stack of what I assume was house made slices roast beef. Caramelized onions on baguette. Lacked (in my opinion) was seasoning. So I assumed the Au jus would bring the flavor...it did not. Execution of the food is well done. Just needs seasoning. I happen to order beef gravy for my french fries and just mixed that with our au jus and that seemed to help a lot. So gravy is delicious. That was my only reason for the 3 stars. I was treated with a warm smile and quick service. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day and we enjoyed the weather. read more

really nice place that i will continue to go to when working in the area. the service was very good, with multiple waiters supporting each other. we ordered the Upside Down Nachos which were incredible...and so much food! i ordered the Nashville Fried Chicken sandwich with fries...no where on the menu did it describe the seasoning on this sandwich as nuclear. i like spicy foods but this had enough spice on it to have me breathing fire and chugging water. My coworker ordered the same thing and he was sweating while eating the sandwich. it was good but buyer beware! i like the place overall and will be back! read more

Third time here and the quality is slipping. Ordered the hot turkey and gravy sandwich. One thick slice of turkey on the roll with a ramekin of gravy and a side of fries -$13.95! I could have made a deli sandwich for half the cost. Appy was the special coconut shrimp which were totally over fried so dark you couldn't tell it was coconut and the shrimp were tough. We had dinner for the first time at the Lebanon Pub and we're not disappointed. The restaurant is very historic and welcoming, we walked through the restaurant (beautiful original floors) to the backyard. Wow, what a magical setting. Large outdoor bluestone bar overlooking a small dance floor and stage. Covered by beautiful large trees almost reminiscent of live oaks with festoon lighting draped around. We were fortunate enough to get seats at the bar, there were at least two tvs with the college football games on. Then a band took the stage at 7, they sounded great! Also, what was nice the music sound level was perfect, loud enough to vibe to but not too loud where you couldn't talk. We ended up eating dinner at the bar, we started with the Nashville hot chicken tenders, unfortunately they were mid. Reminded me of the Tyson blackened chicken tenders from Costco. Then for our meals we had the French dip and the steak sandwich, both were fire! The rolls they were served on were delicious and the roast beef was cooked perfectly. Also, the French fry's were very good. My husband and I are so excited to now have the Lebanon pub on our rotation, food was good but the vibes are impeccable. Thanks to the Lebanon pub for a great night! Only thing I wish I knew how to find out what bands are playing, I looked on their website and Instagram and couldn't find anything. read more

I don't understand how this place does not have a higher rating. My wife and I were in town for a wedding. On Friday we went here for Lunch when we arrived in town. We sat at the bar with two additional family members. The bar atmosphere was perfect. We loved the charm, very warm and inviting. Tara was an excellent bartender friendly knowledgeable and provided excellent service. It was so good that later that afternoon when my brother in law arrived, he was hungry so three of us went back there while our wives were helping with last minute wedding details. Again Tara was great. Saturday, naturally we want packaging for lunch. This time a party of ten with four children. Again everything was great. My only issue was there were so many items on the menu I wanted to try it was hard to decide. Clams were great, onion soup perfect, stake sandwich with roasted peppers tender as could be, Nashville chicken sandwich excellent. If I was local this would be my go to place. If you are in town give it a try. read more

We've been here about five times, but we weren't truly sold on this place until they opened up the back patio. The outdoor space honestly looks like a resort. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful too. It's an old hotel from the 1800s, full of character and charm. There's a gorgeous fireplace room that I never see open. I wish they would use it more. I think it might be reserved for private parties. This place used to be The Fox and the Hound, and back then they used that fireplace room as a lounge area. Our first visit was during their soft opening, and we almost completely wrote the place off. The service was chaotic, with lots of waiters but no clear direction. I'm glad we decided to give it another try. Their current wait staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. My favorite waitress even gives you fair warnings, like how spicy the Nashville chicken sandwich is. It's definitely hot, but I like it that way. Food and Drinks If I could give this place 4.5 stars instead of 5, I would. The food is usually very good, but there are a few areas where they could make some small improvements. When you order the right dish, it's a great meal. But not everything hits the same level. Highlights: * French Onion Soup: One of the best in the area. The onions are sweet and well-cooked, the melted cheese has that perfect leopard-spot charring, and the bread is just right. I get it every time. * Chicken Parm with Ziti: This is my favorite thing on the menu. The chicken is crispy, the vodka sauce is rich, and the pasta is cooked properly. The cheese is local, and the portion is generous. * Salads: I've tried several, and they're consistently fresh and flavorful. * Panko-Crusted Brie: It tastes great, but unfortunately I've had it served cold more than once. It's much better when it comes out warm. Where They Could Improve: * The Bread: This is the biggest issue. I love a good sandwich, and I think they could have great ones, but the bun ruins it. Every sandwich I've had came on an oversized, overly soft bun that overwhelms the filling. It's too much bread for the burger or meat. I hope someone in the kitchen sees this. Please get a new bun. * The Nachos: This one is small but frustrating. The jalapeños are raw. If they roasted or pickled them, this dish could be excellent. I like spice, but biting into a raw jalapeño isn't enjoyable. I won't order these again unless a waiter tells me they've changed the preparation. * The Steak: it was my birthday and I decided to splurge for the steak entree. It was over $40 and I will never get it again. The steak was unseasoned, I never do this but I had to add salt to it. The mashed potatoes were flavorless and the glazed carrots were too hard. Not worth the price I paid, but luckily they have better entrees for less money on their menu. Speaking of the menu; please print new ones! Maybe just make the menu black ink on white paper, because every time I come in to eat here the menu becomes more and more faded and illegible. Drinks and Atmosphere The drink menu is excellent. They have cocktails, mocktails, a large selection of beer on tap and in bottles. I recently noticed they've started offering THC seltzers, which I've never seen at a restaurant before. The prices are very reasonable for the area, especially considering the portion sizes. You get a lot for what you pay. There's also live music on the patio pretty often, which adds a great vibe to the place. Final Thoughts Sit outside if the weather's nice. Grab a beer on tap and order a special entrée or the chicken parm. This place has really grown on us. With a few small changes in the kitchen, it could easily become one of the best spots around. It's our current favorite spot in this restaurant desert. read more

Very gracious service, delicious burgers, I'm happy to have a local pub that stays open late that also has some great food choices in the menu. Nice environment with friendly and attentive staff. The food is pub grub, as advertised. The beer, as expected, was ice cold and fresh. The martini was a little heavy on the vermouth but drinkable. The onion soup had very good cheese and bread but lacked flavor. The shrimp scampi was a little light on the garlic but acceptable. We had four different meals, and they were pretty poor. My tuna melt was basically a can of tuna dumped onto toast, with no mayo, spices, anything. Topped with tomato and barely melted cheese . The others ared no better. Finally ended our meal with cappucino, and it was weak coffee, barely warm. Go somewhere else if you don't want to drop $25 for lousy food. read more

Second time here. We sat outside and loved the atmosphere. Wait staff is attentive and the service was very good. Drink was not. More club soda then alcohol and I could not finish it. We tried the upside down nachos and, while the way they were served was fun, they were a huge disappointment. They came with pulled pork, which was OK. The cheese was cheese sauce with not much flavor and the toppings were very watery. The chips were very, very oily. Next came the burger, which was advertised as being on a brioche bun. This was not a brioche bun as I know them. Burger was OK but greasy too. There was plenty of tomato and lettuce though. The fries were very good. The first time we had come here was with friends for a light lunch. The food items were OK but nothing wow. Next time we will try their specials to find out if those are worth coming for. read more
