Wonderful meal for my daughter's birthday this week, and was a great time with the granddaughters. Service was exemplary, but I wonder about that young (13) year old who was clearing tables and serving some diners.

I rarely give five stars, but I can't really take a star away from this place. We sat at the bar. It was a Friday evening, so It was totally packed inside and outside. The bar service was very friendly and precise with the order very accommodating. The drinks were great ambiance was relaxing with the live music not too far away. The food was delicious and very fresh will return.

Delighted we found this place and don't understand why it wasn't packed when we were there. The server was very attentive, made great suggestions. I had the meatloaf and my husband had the chicken with sausage. Both meals were good, but mine had to be the best meatloaf either of us every had at a restaurant. For dessert we had the lemoncello cake. It was amazing! We highly recommend it. Don't pass this place by just because it's in a strip mall.

Very poor service. Tiny pour on the drinks, pizza dinner at the bar, $90.00. Will never return.

He knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and pointed us toward the Pink Beans. Absolutely delicious. Honestly, I could eat those by themselves and be happy. We ordered the 1/2 rack of charred ribs and a Cuban from the Combos menu, with yellow rice and peas, pink beans, and black beans on the side. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. The ribs were falling off the bone, tender, savory, and seasoned flawlessly. The Cuban was also solid, and the sides pulled everything together perfectly. The food and service were fantastic, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. Only thing missing? Mac and cheese and cornbread. If they added those, I'd probably be there right now. I'd definitely go back, and I'd absolutely recommend it. If you stop by, ask for Brandon and tell him this review brought you in for lunch. Then let me know what you ordered and what you thought. Enjoy.

While Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Cuba share similar colonial pasts, different historical trajectories have resulted in the distinctions in national cuisine. Common gastronomies of the Caribbean are obviously fish and seafood in general, and also coconut. But they also love pork, rice, beans, plantains, and spices such as cumin and oregano, and herbs like cilantro. Rooted in the owner's Puerto Rican and Cuban family culinary journey, I decided to pay a visit to their newest location, Terrill Road Rotisserie in Plainfield, for lunch. Upon arrival with the music playing in a cozy, casual, energetic vibe at this family-owned/operated establishment, I was greeted by Brandon and had the whole place to myself for a moment, but it does get crowded. Similar to the Linden facility, their menu consisted of the fusion of Latin flavors featured on 2 kiosks with pictures of every dish so one knows what one's getting for takeout or dine-in. Their menu consists a variety of combos, rotisserie bowls, and sides. I decided on a Roast Pork Bowl with arroz con gandules, sweet plantains, coleslaw, street corn salad, and asparagus. The meal was well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and deliciously tasty. The kitchen staff puts their heart and soul into every dish. Portions were healthy for two meals. The price was reasonable in that it won't break one's wallet. The owners, Brian and Mariela, cook with fire, flavor, and love. I can recommend this place.

Decided to give Grand Jade a shot when I saw they had a takeout counter. There is a dim sum section, a roasted meats section, and hot entree section. Well organized setup that was very efficient. No waiting for an order. No arriving late to cold food. Excellent takeout experience. We had a bunch of dim sum including a variety of dumplings, buns, and sautéed ribs. On par with all the other dim sum halls that we've been to (e.g. Asian Jewels, Park Asia, East Harbor). We also order several entrees. We had the eggplant, string beans, fried shrimp, squid. Veggies served in a dark, sweet Cantonese style sauce. Shrimp came out fresh with head on. Super juicy and crispy. Shrimp were probably my favorite item. The milk buns and ube sesame balls for dessert were a hit. Meal for four came out to under $100. Grand Jade will likely be our go to for takeout dim sum.

I've been here twice and both times they seemed one beat off from each other. Also for having two servers they don't check on you often enough. That could also be a communication/timing thing. (if you think someone else was there or not) we only ordered one drink because we didn't want to wait after we finished our food to order another. The drinks here are fantastic though. We dined for 2 hours and only was able to order one drink and apps. We probably would have enjoyed more but personally I didn't have to time sit any longer.
