This is one of our favorite spots to go to for Spanish food. They have so much variety and everything taste so authentic. They have great service and the ambiance is pretty good. They have great Spanish music playing while you choose what you want and when you sit down to eat. It's a must try if your looking to eat Latin food.

Lechonera is an absolute mecca for Latin food! I stopped by their Curry Ford location and was impressed and almost overwhelmed (because there were so many good choices) by the variety of entrées available. Their meals include your choice of rice, entrée, and side -- and are served in takeaway containers regardless if you are dining in or taking out. The staff dollops out generous portions, so come hungry! Their hot selections are full of trays featuring ox tails, fish, beef, pork, and chicken. They have soups, ceviches, and sweet & savory pastries such as empanadas and pastelillos -- so many mouth-watering choices in this restaurant gem! I tried their stewed ox tails (slow cooked tender) with rice and peas, and fried plantains; and their batter-fried fish with fried rice and plantains. Both were excellent and full of flavor which I'd order again. However, Lechonera has so many other great choices that return visits to try them are in order! I had my eye on their très leches and quesitos, so you can count on a trip there again soon!

A little pricy for a Latin lunch counter, but it's been a while since I've been to one so hard to say what the norm is anymore. No posted menu so be sure to ask before you order or it racks up fast. For what you pay, you will not be disappointed tho. If your container is any less than 2 pounds something is very wrong. Just be aware, few, if any, options available for healthy eating. Didn't notice any salads or veggies.

Ordered via UberEats. Food arrived hot and well packaged. Ordered the family style meal with chicken and another with pork. They have several styles of rice, I went with the rice and beans and the rice with pigeon peas. Both were delicious. The pork was so moist and tender. The chicken was well seasoned. Both trays had some maduros inside, which was not expected! The fried potatoes had some minced beef inside. Very tasty- smooth like mashed potatoes. The cheese and guava pastries were good. The guava I wished for more filling. The cheese ones were perfect. I would recommend them more than the guava. Order did not have any missing items. We were very pleased. This fed more than ten people. I would order from here again.

The pepper steak at Lechonera Latina is a great dish and a safe bet if you aren't sure what to get. The steak was cooked tender and juicy, the peppers and onions gave a good flavor and crunch. Served over rice and a choice of 2 side. The servers behind the counter were nice and polite. Open seating area with many tables and large screen TVs playing sports and news.

Located near Curry Ford and Conway. Swung in for lunch on a whim. Drive thru was fast and easy. I ordered chicken, rice, and black beans. Expected shredded chicken but it was like a half chicken on top of the beans and rice. Tricky to eat in car so keep that in mind if you do drive thru. Food itself was alright. Beans and rice were good, chicken a little overcooked and dry but not terrible. Id eat here again. Somewhere in the 3.5 - 3.75 range. I forgot to take a pic of the food.

Omg. They give you huge portions! First time here. Got the ox tails with rice and fried plantains. I just love ox tails. Theirs were pretty tasty but I thought they could have been cooked more as they were not exactly falling off the bone. The rice had pieces of sausage in it and was good as were the fried plantains. My friends got different items so I got to try the blood sausage. Loved it. You could taste all the seasoning and it had a great texture. The fried chicharron was GREAT. Porky fried fat goodness Will certainly be back to try something else.

Stopped I'm for the second Time. It's a nice little Place . We got the pernil with rice and beans with a Mofongo on the side. The pork rice and beans were good. The Mofongo was dry prob because it was sitting out On that buffet table. They should always be fresh. Other then that small good quick place to eat.

The cafeteria set up allowed us to see what we were ordering as we walked along and said or pointed at what we wanted. I tried using some of my limited Spanish vocabulary to order our food. We had three plates of food with Fried Rice style rice, Mofongo, Beef, Tostones and Fried Sweet Plantains. For dessert we ordered a White Chocoflan (I don't know if that is the current name) and to drink Passion Fruit Juices. The food was okay. Didn't taste bad but was just okay. The food trays were generously portioned and worth the price - approximately $14. The Passion Fruit Juice was delicious. As one of my favorite juices, I had high expectations. It did not disappoint. I love Chocoflan and only have eaten homemade Chocoflans. This White Chocoflan was delicious. It was not too sweet. Both sides complimented each other well and had a good balance of flavor and texture. We were able to order and pay for our food and drinks in a reasonable time. There is ample parking and indoor seating available for dining in.

My friend took me out to eat at this restaurant for lunch. I asked her if it had good reviews and…read moreshe said that she didn't know. She said she only checked what was on the menu. Upon entering this restaurant I knew that the food was going to be great, because it smelled so good! This restaurant is severed cafeteria style, where you go down the line with different dishes of prepared food on display before you, behind protective glass. A team member on the other side with the food, assists you be gathering together what you point to, as you go down the line. Then they put the food that you pick out into a "to go" container. At the end of the line, you pay for your food at the cash register. Just to make a sure you are aware, a tip is automatically added onto your check when you get to the register. This caught my friend by surprise, because she wasn't aware the tip was included in the receipt until it was too late, and she already paid. You are asked if you want a beverage with your order at the register. You can request a cup of tap water with a lid at this point, but if you don't specify that you want tap water, they may automatically charge you for a bottle of water. They give you plastic silverware with napkins with your meal container. After you pay for your food, you either seat your self at one of their available booths, or you take food with you to go. I got the chicken with white cheese, along with the beans and rice, and I also got some fried plantains. My friend got two dishes with pork and another dish that I can't remember what she called it. My food was so delicious! My friend loved her food as well! The atmosphere here is loud fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the music that they were playing. They also have several large TV's hung from the ceiling. that are playing shows, but I didn't see any closed captioning. The restrooms appear to be just one stall for men, and one stall for woman, and they were kept clean. After I sat down I did see a couple of house flys hanging around our booth. I did see on the wall a sign that said they deliver, but it also said that the minimum order cost for delivery was $300. I'm not sure if this restaurant also partners with meal delivery services. The restaurant is definitely a great place to go and have lots of delicious food! It is also a great place to escape the Florida heat for a little while, as it is kept nice and cool and comfortable inside.

Hispanic food options like "Arroz con gandules y pernil" are great, but are very expensive for takeout. A plate like this with a fountain drink will come up near $20 per plate, a price I would not pay for considering how cheap it would be. At Lelo's we got 4 FULL plates with 4 drinks that totaled near $50. The food quality was very good. As someone who has parents from the homeland who are picky about their pernil, they said it was great. Take that for what it's worth. Should you be off I-4 coming or leaving Orlando, I highly suggest you try this place. Worth your bang for your buck!

I went with yellow rice, red beans, and sweet plantains. My wife ordered the chicken combo with a side of yellow rice and yuca (her first time trying yuca!). The lady helping us (pretty sure it was the owner) was incredibly friendly and patient, guiding us through the menu like old friends. We paid, grabbed a table, and dug in. My wife took one bite of the rotisserie chicken and declared it the best she's had in ages--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and falling off the bone. No surprise there; we spotted those massive rotisserie ovens spinning away, so chicken is clearly their specialty! She then tried the yuca (boiled and crispy-edged, I assume) and loved it--said it was buttery and addictive. Her yellow rice had tasty chunks of different meats mixed in, and she couldn't stop raving about the flavor. I mixed my yellow rice (a different style from hers) with the red beans on the plate--pure comfort food heaven, rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The sweet plantains? Outstanding. Caramelized just right, sweet but not overpowering, soft inside with that ideal crisp edge. Every bite was perfection. The place had a great vibe too--clean bathrooms, lively Spanish beats playing, and a casual, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We're already planning our next visit to try more dishes (that mofongo and rotisserie chicken platter are calling our names!). If you're craving authentic Puerto Rican BBQ and sides done right, Lelo's is a must-stop. Highly recommend--5 stars all the way!
