Eh... I'd give this place somewhere between 3 and 3.5 stars. Let me start by saying I was born in NY and have remained in that area all my life so I am v. picky when it comes to certain foods, e.g. bagels, cheesecake, and especially pizza (just to name a few). I like my pizza crust to be just that - crusty - with a nice, chewy center, the sauce to be sweet and smooth, and the cheese to be generous but doesn't dominate the dish. That being said, let me get to my review. I've been in Baltimore for a little less than a year for work and haven't had pizza until I recently went to Ledo Pizza. I'd been reluctant to get pizza because knowing how atrocious the bagels are around here, honestly, I was scared and not in the mood to waste my money on bad food. However, my companion suggested we have a Glee & pizza night (don't judge us). I browsed the reviews for Ledo (the best rated of the pizza places nearby) and read about the pastry-like crust and was immediately turned off but we went for it anyway. We ordered the Italian white pizza and a dozen wings with buffalo sauce and chile lime sauce. The wings were simply fried and they gave us the sauce on the side. I actually really appreciated that because it meant that the wings weren't soggy by the time we got back to the apartment. They were still crisp and we were able to add as much sauce as we wanted, so 4 stars for that. I'm deducting 1 star because the sauces weren't all that delicious. The pizza was as I suspected, a disappointment. The crust seemed buttery and it was really crumbly - like Shawn C. said, it was like a pie crust. And normally, when I get square pizza, it's a Sicilian pizza which has a nice thick crust so this was quite a turnaround. The toppings were okay, but it was too salty for me; I think they used way too much of the sharp cheeses (parmesan and asiago). The taste actually reminded me of Domino's cheesy bread, and I was expecting something a little more gourmet, from the description. It was tolerable though and I did manage to finish a few slices. Though the pizza wasn't up to my standards, it was affordable. We got a ton of food (enough leftovers for two more meals) for a decent price. And the service was friendly - both on the phone and in the store - and it was fast. Our order was ready when they said it would be and the girl working the cashier was able to check me out in a jiffy. I did appreciate the fact that she opened up the pizza box to show me the pizza and asked me, "Does this look okay?" It's a nice touch to ask you to inspect your own pizza, that way you don't waste your time if your order ends up being wrong and it saves the pizza place some trouble as well. To summarize, I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. read more

I was surprised with a Lido pizza takeout meatball sub by my family last night. It was hot, cheesy, moist, and delicious. It was also the best sub that I've had in years. The french fries tasted homemade, I would recommend Ledo pizza! read more

I haven't been to Ledo's in a long time, since that one time when we where seated near the kitchen door, and we saw that the floor was filthy and a lot of food on it. So I decided after a year or so, I would give them another chance. The atmosphere here is pretty nice! Really clean in the front of the house. Didn't like the fact that there was a group of them at the front desk just hanging out. Our waiter was great. The young man greeted us and was quick. He was also accommodating. For appetizer, I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken Salad. It was good. The flavor was good, but mainly at the bottom. The grilled chicken was delicious in flavor. Main Course was a pizza. Pizza tasted great. The crust was cooked perfectly with a hint of sweetness . It was not too oily and the flavor with the cheese, pepperoni, and roma tomatoes was excellent. The only reason I give it a four, was the pizza slide off when the waiter placed it on the table. He quickly got another tray for the fallen pizza and ordered us another pizza. This is a very convenient location close to the mall, other shops/stores and easy off of 695. The store is clean and well kept, thought the front counter sometimes feels a little junky and overcrowded with extra stuff they are selling. The food is consistently good for what it is - if you're expecting fine dining you've walked into the wrong joint. But if you're just in the mood for some old fashioned quick comfort food the food is good. The square pizza is the draw here and has a good but unique taste. Everything else (fried, mozzarella sticks, etc.) are all likely frozen from a bag but it is what it is. read more

It's vary frustrating to call in a order for pickup and when you arrive the order is almost never correct. If I order 3 times a month, it wrong twice! I've had to have the order remade like tonight, and have had my name put in a book for a free makeup for the last screw up meal! After the 3rd and 4th time of getting makeup meals it starts to feel a little intentional, they rush you on when your putting the order in on the phone! The staff acts as if they don't care! We ordered 2 pizzas from the Aberdeen pizza shop. The flavor was amazing and I love the thin crust. But for the price I was disappointed on the amount of pizza that it bought. One of the pizzas was a special pizza with chicken and basil on top of it, it was very good but there was hardly anything on the top of it. Yuck. We tried calling the Ledos in Bel Air MD but were put on hold for 30 mins. I laughingly stayed on for a kick while I finished watching a soccer game. Since no one picked up, i hung up & called the one in White Marsh. I ordered a 14" with pep & bacon with 3 side salads. When we got there, they had messed up a lady's order & it took 4-5 people (2 of them were manager types) to try & fix it so I had to wait until someone was free. Instead of side salads, we got full salads which came with an additional costs. Didn't feel like bringing this up so I just paid & went. When we got home, the salads were very warm & very meh. The ranch dressing was very warm too & also not very good. Its like they were never refrigerated. The pizza was so greasy that it made the under crust & crush not very good. Ledos used to be very good. Will cross this off our list & won't be returning. read more

We ordered $70 worth of food, my wife got back home and 1/4 of the food was missing, she drove back and they messed up again. I called with manager and they just kept making excuses they were busy. I understand busy, I'm a business owner. At least you could of made it right by a discount or at least another Warm meal, cause all said and done it was cold. read more

This pizza is so greasy! Not sure why so many locals recommend to eat here! It's horrible and a wAste of money! I could've fried some chicken with all the extra grease. I called in my order, I was told 15-20 minutes. I arrived in 17 minutes, order was not ready...ok. I waited another 22 minutes before the order was ready. People came in, ordered food, and left with their food before I received my order. This was my first time here, they knew that! I never even received a free soft drink while I was waiting. My order had 3 items, yup - just 3 items. Calzones and Stromboli. If this is the first impression they wanted to leave, I am not certain how they retain customers. Very disappointing. We split a hot italian sub (the dressing was ok, but we both agreed that it could use a little more meat) and a pizza. We found the crust to be thin but doughy and didn't stand up to the reheat test. Known for its unique pizza (rectangular, with a thin, flaky pastry crust) and generous toppings (all measured by weight so you get plenty), Ledo is apparently a Maryland business that found success and expanded. For retail pizza, it's very good, and much less greasy than competitors. I've had their pizza a couple times before, but the customer service at this location was shockingly good. Upon making a recent pick-up order for a pizza split into thirds (which is a lot easier on a rectangular canvas), we found it had been entered as a half and a quarter, with incompatible toppings overlapping. Management apologized profusely, and asked that we hang on for long enough for them to make it right (if that was an acceptable solution for us). Then, not only did we get a 'Goofpon' good for another free medium pizza on a future date, but we got to keep the errant pizza (which was actually not bad). Other vendors would do well to emulate this 'do whatever is needed to make the customer happy' mentality. They've assured themselves of plenty of our repeat business (and referrals) by virtue of making what might ordinarily be a hassle into an actually pleasant experience. Kudos! read more

You can't go wrong at Ledo's. I love their Hot Grilled Chicken Salad. Have to have it, with grilled chicken, crispy bacon, and the honey mustard dressing, it's so good. Their pizza is one of my favorites! Their crust, sweet pizza sauce, and the toppings are a great combination. Have been frequenting here for many years and will continue doing so. Their service has always been good too. The servers are always attentive and I don't think I've ever had to wait for a thing! Almost always have had one of the managers or the owner stop by our table to make sure that everything was ok. read more

I work in White Marsh and I like to eat in the area on my lunch hour. My boyfriend met me at Ledo's and we decided to eat outside since it was such a nice day. The restaurant is less than five minutes away from my work so we had a little less than an hour to enjoy lunch. I chose the sub, fries, and drink meal for $7.99 and my boyfriend had the half salad and half small pizza deal. We waited awhile until our food finally came. The sub was good, but there weren't very many fries to go with it. The fries were also pretty thin, kind of like straw fries. Our waitress came out once for refills, but we never saw her again. Since I didn't have long for lunch we were getting a little impatient because our waitress never brought us the check. Finally, my boyfriend went to the register and asked for the check and paid for our meal. The food is decent and the prices are pretty reasonable, but if you're looking for quick service you should go somewhere else. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area that can serve lunch at a faster pace. read more

Ledo's is almost like a family tradition to me. My Mom ate it when she was in college and now there's a location where I live and now I'm eating it during my college years too. This is a pizza that is a totally different entity. Its not like pizza hut, dominoes or any fast delivery pizza. There is love put into this. A thin crispy crust, and a sauce which is the best I've ever tasted. The servings are huge! A medium takes up an entire tray the size of a food court tray. Get a large and it will equal to two trays, cheaper for two people and more than enough per person. You will have leftovers. This is much different ambiance wise from my mom's ledos. It has a very large dining area with a few high and low seated booths as well as a bar and larger menu. But don't come for the other food ledos staple is pizza! My only complaint is the inconsistent service, sometimes you get a fantastic waiter who you don't even need to ask for, other times you are invisible. I don't see that as a problem with the establishment though, just the person you are dealing with. I like to refer to ledos as the upper class pizza, its a step above the rest. There is no delivery, it's dine in or take home. The deserts are fancy, yet delicious as well. You'll love it here. read more

I heard great things. People seem to love the sangria, the bar, and I heard the ravioli was good. Well we had pizza and it was ok, something like what you might get from the freezer at the grocery store, but even many of those are better. My son had Mac n cheese, and it was probably Kraft but I'm pretty sure it was reheated in a microwave b/c it was burned in places and stuck together. He ate a little bit settled on his side, the microwaved broccoli stems. It wasn't busy, and it wasn't very clean. I have no plans to return. read more

Italian Wedding Soup- Not bad, although adding carrots I think waters it down but adding a healthy dose of parmesan cheese gives a little salty goodness, plus the meatballs in the soup were plenty flavorful! It's fine. The pizza is tasty enough - reminds me of Donato's in Ohio with the small slices and thinner crust. The toppings list contained no surprises. I'd only come back for takeout, though. While waiting for my pizza ("it'll be 20 minutes," so I people-watched for a good 35), I took in the ambiance (offers all a strip-mall chain family restaurant can), waitresses (seemed completely stressed), cashier (bored-looking girl who contributed nothing other than organizing the straws for 30 minutes), and menu (would probably order nothing other than pizza). Decent food, always busy. I wish the food was better. It seems like their "specialty" items aren't really all that special. I've tried the chicken and broccoli Alfredo, wings, sandwiches, pizza and most recently their cheesesteak. I've never walked away impressed with the taste, portion or quality. I was less than encouraged by the presence of "fried ravioli" on the appetizer menu, but it turned out to be the best item I tried: it tasted like someone had covered crappy ravioli in breadcrumbs and deep fried the lot of it. I ordered a personal, white, chicken pizza of some kind. The crust was thin a la Italy but the dough was poor quality and was cooked in what must have been a pool of vegetable oil if the puddle on my plate was any indication. The toppings were flavored like a decent frozen dinner but as starving as I was I stopped after forcing half the pizza down as I began to feel nauseated by the oil and over-processed chicken. We have been going to this Ledo's for several years but the past 2 times we have attempted to order when get placed directly on hold and ultimately the line just hangs up on us. Amazing!!! Pizza, calzones, and appetizers were hot, delicious, and came out looking the part. Our server offered to split our salad for us and portions were generous and picture perfect! Service was awesome and they were packed. Great Happy Hour specials, clean throughout. I can't say enough great things about this Ledo's! This is by far the best salad! Fresh romaine and the house dressing is amazing! I ordered the soup, salad, and breadsticks lunch special for 8.99. It's all you can eat two but the servings are large enough so you might not need any refills. I ordered a second salad because it was so good. I really enjoy this place! It was a last minute decision to pop in for a late lunch on a Saturday. I ordered a small pizza and my husband ordered the chicken parm. Our waitress seemed nice although after ordering and receiving our food we really didnt see much of her. Refills were hard to come by... The pizza was delicious, I really enjoyed the sauce. My husband liked my pizza as well but didnt enjoy the sauce as much with his chicken parm, he thought it was a bit sweet. Not a total bust for him, he loved the garlic bread and ate his whole meal. If it weren't for the teenagers or undisciplined workers, the quality of their pizza might be consistent and would be worth the higher asking price. Alot of times, their pizza's will be undercooked (cheese texture) or overcooked (krispy crust). When cooked right, this is one of the best pizza's in the Rosedale and White Marsh area. Some of their pizza toppings, leaves an obscene after taste even into the next morning. Their sausage is great. Their super thin crust makes their pizza, a bit overpriced. 1/29/16 Update: If you order carry out and don't intend to tip them, only pay them when the food is fully prepared. My pizza was left on the counter for 5-10 minutes, while I was waiting, and I had to 'remind' the clerk if it was done. This occurred on 1/28/16 at around 8:55 pm. 8/31/16 Update: The quality of their pizza appears to be consistent. I've yet to come across overcooked/crispy pizza as I did, a long while ago.
