We went to Ledos for my kids school fundraiser 2/12 and were very pleased. Our server, Alex, was attentive and never once seemed impatient with my kids who can sometimes be annoying. The food was terrible. It certainly seemed to have a local following, but honestly you can get better pizza in a lunchable. The crust tastes like the stuff you buy in a bag and mix yourself. As for the rest of the pizza, I got canned pesto, microwaved bacon and some questionable tomato slices. Even though I'm not in love with their pizza/pasta sauce (too sweet), I'm in love with their service and value... hence the 4 out of 5 stars. We got their largest pizza to split between our family of 4, and had over half left. While I don't care for the pizza due to the sauce, the 3 others with me did. Our server Ben was beyond attentive (and no I don't know him personally) and patient with our some times frustrating children. I also absentmindedly forgot my purse loaded with gift cards as we were headed to the mall, but a bus boy came running out full speed with it. The only tip I can give is that it's seat yourself and was crowded (but service and food turn around were quick). I will come back and get a salad or soup while my kids eat pizza. :) read more

I ordered a large pizza online from this establishment and it was atrocious. I asked that it be well done, and have pre-cooked crispy bacon. The pizza was not well done and it actually had toppings and cheese falling from every slice when I attempted to eat. The crust was rubbery and the bacon was not crispy and in some instances not thoroughly cooked. This is the second horrid pie I have received from Ledo's , White Marsh. On another note, I am irritated as they have discontinued the meat sauce pizza with the sweet, tangy taste and now these past two pies have both been undercooked and bland w/o their trademark sweet sauce. They cannot prepare the bacon correctly either. I am done with this chain. read more

Food was great. Prices are reasonable. Service was less than. First impressions are very important. I arrived with my daughter and son. We were not seated. We were told to just go sit anywhere. I requested a high chair and was told by manager he would bring one right over. That did not happen. Finally, our waitress arrived. I had to ask for a childs menu and again for a highchair or booster seat. Okay, we finally received both. We went ahead and ordered our meals with our drinks since we had sat for so long, we had already decided what we wanted. By this time, my toddler had lost his patience. We waited a reasonable amount of time for the food. (less time than placing order). Then there was the extensive wait again for the check and boxes. I paid at the register instead of waiting again for my waitress to come back. They were not busy at all. Actually, the place was pretty empty. Maybe at best 4 other patrons. We wont be returning. I can get good food elsewhere with far better service. Oh, and the bathroom smells as if someone urinates on the floor somewhere. Pretty unpleasant when releasing yourself prior to eating. read more

It was somewhat busy when I arrived and waited 10 min at the 'Please wait to be seated' sign. There were booths and seats at the bar available that I could see from the while I waited. I was not greeted or acknowledged by any staff member during that time, even though staff couldn't pass without me having to move out the way. After I entered the seating area and flagged down the manager or guy in the white long sleeve shirt I was informed I was to wait to the seated and all the other staff said he was the one that did the seating. Pizza, Wings, Cheesesteak, Fries, Cheesy bread oh my! Grabbed dinner two days in a row and it was great. We had pepperoni, chicken, and bacon pizza and it was the best thing out of the bunch. This place seems to get some rave reviews, and I just can't see why. My order was simple...cheese pizza and an antipasto salad. The crust on the pizza tasted like a frozen pizza...and looked like it wasn't fresh. Sauce and cheese were decent, but a bad crust can ruin a whole pie. Best happy hour around! Food is consistent. Wait staff has almost always been great (with the exception of one time where our bartender was crying the whole night). I'd love bigger tvs for the game. I could not be any happier with the service at Ledo's!!! I recently was passing through Maryland with my husband and 3 daughters. We were coming from Florida and traveling home to Mass. We decided to stop and grab some pizza and subs, that we thought were absolutely delicious!! After leaving the restaurant I realized I forgot my diaper bag. I some how tracked down the location we were at and asked if it was possible for them to ship my bag to me. The owner was the kindest man, he went out of his way during his busy day to help me out and go to the post office not once but twice to ship my bag to me. After a long trip, that was not even half over, with 3 children 4 and younger I thought my bag was gone forever. It did not have anything of real value in the bag but just some things my girls find to be some of their "favorites"!! To make a long story short, the owner is a amazing, the food is fabulous and I would definitely stop in again if I was in the area. I will not go back. The quality of the food has substantially declined since last summer where we ate at this place all the time. I went the other day and I ordered a low cal meal - chicken dish - and it was precooked, microwaved and like rubber. I had to ask for a replacement meal because it wasn't even a full portion of a chicken breast! The second plate was no better. I asked my waiter if it was pre-cooked. Yes - that is what they use. Summary: Longtime patron told by Senior Management not to return to Ledo's over General Manager's outlandish accusations and childish demeanor (General Manager calls from personal cellphone and rudely interrogates and accuses patron at home at 8pm to "follow up" about a carry out order) Unprofessionalism and unreasonableness is rampant in this chain to the top. CHECK OUT Local Pizzerias, such as Matthew's Pizza (Baltimore), DeSantis( Perry Hall), Earth Wood & Fire (Fallston) before Ledo's. -- I had been a regular patron to Ledo's (the White Marsh/ Nottingham, MD location particularly, and the chain as a whole) for years. I've never had an issue - ever - until about a year ago. I spoke to the managing staff then, and it was quickly and professionally resolved, like it should be. That is not why I am writing this. Recently a new issue arose which I personally and professionally attempted to resolve with the managing staff at the White Marsh/ Nottingham, MD location. It wasn't anything serious that should even necessitate a review here. I placed an order. I picked it up, and was asked if the general manager could call as follow-up with me. "Of course", I agreed expecting a call the following business day, as it was 8pm. I am willing to discuss or clarify, apologize for any confusion, or whatever. I'm reasonable. In my experience on both ends of the transactions, a phone I was expecting would have been the manager calling to apologize and better understand. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. I made it home with my carry out order that evening around 8pm. I received a call (from an unknown number) before I was even able to bite into my pizza, at 8:10pm, from a personal cellphone, that began with an interrogatory questioning. "So I heard you've been giving my staff problems?" - Not, "I've heard you've had some issues recently". It took me a minute to understand who was even calling as a proper address was not even made. After trying to defend myself in a reserved manner to crazy accusations made to me in my own house, in the later hours, on my personal cell, by a man I've never met, I realized he was going to side with his staff and their claims regardless of what I said, and wasn't open to a reasonable conversation. Instead of hanging up on this outraged man, I politely tried to end the call. The customer isn't always right - I certainly believe that, but this general manager was as unprofessional as they come, that he couldn't conceive anything but 'the customer is never right'. He ended this conversation, which again, I strove to try to reason and defend myself to his audacious accusations, that I shouldn't ever 'visit this location again'. I could have left it at that. I wrestled for a month, but purely because I do enjoy Ledo's Pizza (above all other competitors), and because an issue like this is such an anomaly to any experience I've ever had with Ledo's I decided to pursue it. I chose to speak with senior management at Ledo's about this general manager's choices to interrogate with crazy accusations. I did this because I would be open to visit other locations, but I personally did not feel safe to do so after that heated phone call with an unreasonable general manager who mentioned that he oversaw other locations and was 'in other locations' on a weekly basis. ("What if he saw me?" "What if my food came out cold and I mentioned it to my waitress and he came over?"). I don't want his job. I don't need an apology or a reason to why I received such childishness. I just wanted it to be spoken to and moved on, like adults. I left a message with senior management who was apparently debriefed by the general manager before about the issue before returning my call. Senior management sided entirely with the general manager, after I tried to explain I only intent in pursuing my concern this far was to try to settle or calm things with the general manager so I wouldn't feel unsafe going forward and could enjoy Ledo's as I have for years. The conversation came to basically the advisement by senior management that I shouldn't go come to Ledo's, because they were backing up their general manager. read more

A Penny For My Thoughts Holy To-Ledo By Paul Wein On Tuesday, Julie and I arrived in Maryland to join her family to celebrate Thanksgiving. As customary, our first stop was Red Brick Station. While there, I started talking to John, the person sitting next to me. He informed me that he was the bartender at Ledo Pizza - a local place at 5350 Campbell Boulevard in White Marsh, Maryland that has been there since 2007 - and that he would love it if we came on Friday to review it... ...I don't know what was better - the invitation - or the experience itself. Established in 1955, Ledo Pizza has over 100 locations and provides the best of both worlds. The White Marsh location, along with a few others, has a bar for people who want to have a few and watch the game - and a family restaurant perfectly yet subtlety separated from each other wrapped up in a calm, inviting decor - all the while hosted by a very friendly and welcoming staff that made us feel right at home - along with the steady flow of regular customers that poured in like melted wax the whole time we were there. When we first arrived, John introduced me to the other bartender Max and their owner Kraig, who kindly invited Julie and me in with open arms. After a few beers from their amazing draft and craft collection - we started with their very well-known Italian Salad. A blend of Italian meats and cheeses combined with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, Ledo's signature store-made Romano cheese, flat bread, herb dressing and a hot pepper to perfectly end it with a nice kick - I was in Heaven. After her first bite, Julie called it a Caesar Salad with a twist. The freshness of the ingredients, the lightness of the clean, smooth herb dressing and the flat bread were like a perfect marriage. Needless to say, the only thing Julie and I could not eat off of that plate was the monogrammed name on the plate itself. After the salad - as if that was not enough - we enjoyed a trademark Ledo Deluxe. A pizza that combines their hand-rolled pizza dough, signature sauce which is made on site - and, surprisingly, smoked provolone cheese instead of the traditional mozzarella - which gives the pizza a completely unique taste you won't find anywhere else. The toppings of the Ledo Deluxe included pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, hamburger (something you don't find anywhere), and your choice of regular of pre-cooked bacon - of which we chose the latter. As soon as we bit into the crispy crust and tasted the sauce that was perfect but not overwhelming, the cheese that melted in our mouths, and the fresh toppings that perfectly blended together and made every bite taste different then the last one - I knew that they could sell this pizza in my hometown of Brooklyn - and easily succeed. Besides their amazing food, Ledo Pizza is known for a few other honorable and unique services. First and most important, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights, they do fund raising for local schools, churches, and sports teams - with 20% of the proceeds going to the organization. In addition, they do outside catering and even sell their signature sauce in a jar to go - so when you are at home looking for a great meal - you can take their magic home with you. After our meal, Julie and I informed Kraig, Max and John that we would be back in Maryland for Christmas - and that Ledo Pizza would be our first stop. It is very hard for a life-long Brooklyn Italian like me to actually like pizza outside of my hometown - but I must confess - Ledo Pizza nailed it.
