We are long-time Ledo pizza fans. This has to be the worst pizza we have ever gotten. Actually, the past several time has not been the best but being fans we still hung in there. I can not believe they allowed this to their customers. Now Ledo pizza is like a thin crust but this was half of that and only a little sauce on the edges. I have had Ledo's pizza in the past and was less than impressed. Recently tried the 14" cheese pizza. I had difficulty recognizing this as pizza - sorry... (Frozen pizza is much better, and I like a lot of different styles) The cheese was very yellow. I could not tell you what cheese this was. It appears the dough was rolled very flat and then heavily docked. Spiked holes all over the crust. I have friends that make special trips for this pizza because they think it's great. Called yesterday to order a pizza to go . Staff there are super nice and the pizza has good flavor but the crust is WAY TOO THIN . When you pick up a piece everything slides off , you need a knife and fork to eat it . Also , they didn't have any paper plates to give us so we literally had to pull out a piece and devour it before the cheese and topping were all over the place . From their iconic pizza, to the fried ravioli, I have yet to find a disappointing dish. On the plus side, I did get my food a little faster at this location than the one in Georgetown and the girl behind the counter was nice and gave my daugher some free chocolate milk. Horrible customer service. But, I guess if you are craving Ledos, and it's the closest one around, what can you do? I placed my order at 6:15pm. Headed to Ledos, and got there at about 6:45pm. I was told 30-35mins, so, was thinking I'd wait a few minutes. Paid, the employees talked some and I started my wait........after about 15mins, figured I'd wait outside, since about 10 people came and left with their orders. Went back in, and waited.......Told it would be a few more minutes. Now, it's about 7:20pm......pizza is done. So, seems I placed my order and they didnt send it to the kitchen. Forgot about that until I showed up and paid. Was I informed? No. I mean, at that point I would have gotten a refund and headed to Dominos or Harris Teeter for pizza. I don't even mind that they forgot, things happen. They are busy. Could they let me know what happened? Nah, cover it up, like kids do. The service reviews are accurate. I read them before coming to this location to dine in and should have just went with my instinct. We arrived around 8ish, before sitting down I asked the cashier was it ok to dine in; she said yes. We sat down and the place was empty, (I have a newborn with me), not even seconds later the waitress comes over "are you ready to order because our kitchen is about to close?". Thankfully, I ordered quick since this was Ledos and I came for pizza. I also ordered chicken wings and specifically said "fried hard". The wings were not fried hard, they were mushy and just, no. Another batch of wings, again, mushy with the skin still soft. The waitress placed the check on our table before we were halfway through the pizza by saying "whenever you're ready", first time ok, didn't bother me only slightly because clearly we just started eating. The waitress asked three more times "whenever you are ready". Let's talk about RUSHED! Worst part, another couple came in while we were eating. We intentionally listen to their waitress seeing if she would rush them; nope. Moral of the story: don't come to this place after 7pm because it's evident these young waitresses having no customer service training and need to schedule a different shift if they don't want to be there till closing. I am a fan of Ledo's although this location has rude, inconsiderate staff who understand nothing about customer service. Restaurant deserves no stars. Without going into a long story the bottom line is some of my order was sent back to the kitchen because it was not correct. They insisted that the item still be paid for and continued to say that it couldn't be taken off the bill. They became loud and aggressive where as the police had to come diffuse the situation. Problem solved- item was taken off bill. Situation will absolutely be reported to corporate. Never have I experienced such nonsense! Ordered Ledo pizza for the first time (to go) while I waited on my ride. Uber was taking a while and it was raining, so I sat down to take a few bites and the server nastily told me that I could not eat inside because I ordered my food "to go", and they thought I might leave the trash on the table. I ordered a pizza at 1:30pm to be ready at 5:30pm, and when I went to pick it up, it is as if the pizza had been sitting out since I ordered it 4 hours before! It was ice cold. I called the store and spoke with Tiffany, who was completely rude and unprofessional, never apologized for the situation, and instead tried to tell me I was wrong. Ledo's Pizza has a good pie that's for sure. However, after eating it a couple times, there is no way that I can have it anymore. 1. It tears up the digestive system. 2. The service is just as bad as #1. We decided to have a work lunch there and we had called ahead with our order so they could start making it and it would be ready by the time we got there. Well for starters, make sure you clarify if you need to order with the restaurant side because apparently they have two different systems for orders to go and eat-in. Seriously? Haven't been to this location in a looong time. So, we ordered wings for appetizers, half honey bbq and the other half was chilli lime. I thought it was alright, even the rest of our order was borderline OK- shrimp alfredo pasta (shrimp was deep fried and they used red sauce), large supreme deluxe pizza and cheesesteak sandwich with a side salad. They have the pizza ready for you in a reasonable amount of time and the restaurant is large enough to accommodate a larger group. The pizza is rectangular in shape and cut into square pieces. The pizza is a bit thinner than a dominoes or a papa johns, but not thin crust either. The pizza sauce is perhaps a little sweeter than most sauces and more reminiscent of a marinara sauce. Although it can be a little greasy, I like the pepperoni. The topping selection is probably a bit more diverse here than most places (offering both precooked bacon and just bacon, for example). It's been said many times before, but I think it still holds true: pizza is like sex, when it's good it's really good...but when it's bad, it's still pretty good. As a "former" regular to this location, I used to have good things to say about this place, Well after today I will NEVER give them a dime of my money. I pulled up at 10:45am and the lighted sign stated "OPEN".......I walked up and pulled on the door, and it was locked. I saw two young girls staring at me from behind the counter. I twice asked are you open? They both looked and then ignored me.....So I walked to my vehicle and noticed a lady whom Im familiar with come and unlock the front door as I entered my vehicle. I watched as the two young girls began to laugh. I exited the vehicle, returned inside and stated that they saw me outside asking them if they were open and basically got ignored. 3.5 stars I first tried Ledo's when I first moved to MD years ago. It was the deluxe version and I loved it. For some reason I hadn't had it in a few years but decided to add it back into my pizza rotation because I haven't found any brick oven pizza nearby that I really like. A few months ago, we went in on a Friday night and it was a madhouse! The environment was not conducive to winding down after a long work week. I didn't order the deluxe and it just wasn't the same as I remembered. We also ordered garlic bread for the table and it was not good, just plain bread (barely toasted) with too-sweet sauce. A couple of weeks ago I went back and ordered a deluxe for carry out and that was the Ledo's I remembered. For some reason, I only like the deluxe. Went here since my family raves about how great it is. The place itself was nothing to rave about, a big room with tables. So, I went into Ledo cheering them on. I don't eat chain pizza. I love hand-tossed crusts, fresh toppings and chatting with entrepreneurs and their employees. Family pizza parlors. With Ledo, I like the spirit of the establishment, evidenced by its promotion of the house pizza sauce and by the "What competition?" slogan on the backs of the servers' t-shirts. My server, Rianna, was incredibly attentive and pleasant. She answered my questions capably and accurately. The letdown came with the food. I can't place anything particularly special or good about the sauce. It was functional, at best. I couldn't figure out why I'd want to buy a jar to take home to use in my own cooking. Ultimately, it was my own cooking that helped me deduce the real tragedy with my square pizza: the time it'd spent in a freezer. The toppings moved around too easily on the crust, and the taste was of a just-microwaved grocery store pizza. A freshly made pizza crust neither tastes nor jettisons toppings that way. The owner should keep their business model's winning ingredients but lose the freezer burn. read more
