My husband and I had a wonderful date night at Ledo Pizza in Mount Airy and left impressed by both the food and the service. Our server, Elizabeth, was fantastic. She was knowledgeable about the menu, answered our questions with confidence, paid close attention to detail, got our order exactly right, and everything arrived in a timely manner. Great service made an already enjoyable meal even better. We started with the Chicken Tenders & Fries, which were crispy, flavorful, and served with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ and honey mustard--perfect for sharing. I ordered the 8" Cauliflower Crust Pizza with mushrooms and caramelized onions. The cauliflower crust had a great texture, and the caramelized onions added a delicious sweetness that paired well with the mushrooms. My husband chose the Caramelized Spicy Italian Sausage Pizza, featuring Ledo's signature sauce, spicy Italian sausage, caramelized onions, and smoked provolone cheese. It was packed with flavor and had just the right balance of savory, spicy, and sweet. The highlight of the meal was dessert. The Carrot Cake was easily one of the best we've had in a long time. It was incredibly moist and full of flavor, with fresh carrots, pecans, coconut, pineapple, warm cinnamon, and layers of tangy cream cheese filling. Between the delicious food, welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service from Elizabeth, this was a great dining experience. Couldn't be better! I had thought I placed an order for pickup but I didn't complete the transaction so when I got there I felt foolish. The cashier was super accommodating and friendly and said that he'd take the order and it'd be faster than ordering online. I ordered a large cheese pizza with extra sauce and was quoted 15 minutes. I came back in about 12 and the cashier had the pizza ready in hand when I walked in! Man o man, what excellent service! And the pizza? Piping hot, perfectly cut, baked just right with the extra sauce, amazing crispy crust, and delicious with absolutely no regrets on calories. Plenty of parking out front. They have two main doors but the one on the left is not accessible and says to use the other one. Looks like they are set up for dining (I saw tables and chairs) but most orders were in-store initiated or online/phone pickups. Slam dunk! read more

Service not so great. Placed a curbside order, arrived at the designated time, waited about 5 minutes before heading inside. When asked how I could be helped I replied that I was outside waiting for a curbside order. Cashier's response "yeah I know, I'm busy". Yes, the whole world is busy, but you can be polite about it. Hubby picked up a large pie, cheesy bread, wings, and an Italian salad for Valentine's Day movie night, and it was so very tasty! Very generous portions (we had another full meal the next day), and nicely priced. I am ADDICTED to Ledo's pizza - I love the smaller slices and the yummy toppings, especially the Hawaiian. The food tastes like Ledo's, if you eventually get what you ordered. Haven't had much success with take out, and recently made the mistake of dining in. They need some more staff or training for sure. Most staff seemed really confused as to what was going on both in and out of the kitchen. Nice folks, just maybe not their cup of tea. read more

The pizza is always delicious! The front-help is always a bunch of self-absorbed teenage girls or stoner dudes. I sat waiting for my pizza for 10 minutes because stoner-bro said my pizza wasn't done. after a few minutes he talks to the cook through the window and the cook is like "This pizza right here is that order...". The Mt. Airy Ledo's has always been very good, I have been going to this Ledo's for a very long time and just about every Friday. I understand they now have new owner's and they have been doing some remodeling, but the one thing they could have left was the door between the dinning room and carryout, because since they took it out and they did it the winter time now when you sit in the dinning room and the door opens you get the cold air from outside so now I have to eat dinner with my coat on since they took away the door. Ordered one Caesar and one Italian salad: the latter was fine, but the Caesar barely filled the takeout container. Ordered a medium pizza with sausage, onion and extra cheese, and the pizza was practically raw and tasted like vomit. I called and complained tonight, only to be told by the owner that this has been their best year yet. Really? How does his statement satisfy my bad experience. The pizza here is what I expected from Ledo's, pretty tasty for a very reasonable price. One nice bonus about this particular location is that they're BYOB. The staff was also pretty friendly so I'd say it's an above average Ledo's. Also rather conveniently located off of I-70 if you're on a road trip and want to grab a meal. read more

I've been going to Ledos for years but I gave this location five stars because of the incredible service we received. Corrie was our server. We had a huge party of 17 for a birthday. She was incredibly helpful and accommodating and quick to fill our orders. She gave great recommendations and was friendly the entire time. The pizza was excellent. The wings were better here than in the other locations where I've had them - very saucy and a bit spicy. I'm grateful for the incredible service we received and for their accommodating our large party. read more

I love this place. I always get carry out, but the dining facilities always seem clean and comfortable. The pizza is fantastic with chunky tomato sauce and "cheesy goodness," and a flaky crust. I would usually give Ledo's 4 stars but, this time I was a bit disappointed. The crust wasn't as crisp as usual so it didn't hold up to the toppings. We had to knife and fork it. Their hot chicken salad is nicely prepared and the garlic bread is tasty. Friendly local young people provide decent service. This place is amazing. I always say it's the best pizza on the planet. and whenever anybody in Mt airy asks for recommendations for the best wings in town, I always recommend Ledo's. The wings are always very plump and juicy. Nothing scrawny, dry, and bony about them, unlike other places in town! Aside from the everyday, you CANNOT BEAT their catering! I had a graduation party for my daughter last weekend, and choosing the Mt. Airy Ledo's to cater it was the best idea I ever had. Letting them handle the food made my life so easy. I was able to relax and enjoy the party instead of stressing over cooking, serving, and cleaning up after the food (everything was disposable so clean up couldn't have been any easier). They were very courteous and professional every step of the way, from ordering, confirming a couple of days before, adding food to my original order, and delivery. The manager, Patrick Niggel, personally delivered the food himself. Patrick is always sure to call me by name, even when I just walk into the store to pick up an order. The food was delivered exactly on time, was piping hot and fresh, of COURSE it was delicious, and they were VERY generous with their portion sizes as well as sauces, condiments, etc. They even provided the plates, napkins, and utensils. We had so much food left I was sending people home with some, and still had some to put in the freezer. And it cost me about half of what it would have cost to have other local restaurants cater. All of my guests complemented me on the food. There was enough variety in the menu that I was able to please those who like white sauce, those who like red sauce (again, the best on the planet!), those who were meat eaters, and those who were vegetarian. If I had to do it all over again, the only thing I would do differently would be to go to Ledo's right off the bat, instead of considering any other options. Probably our favorite pizza place ever! If you've never had Ledo' s pizza...Let me first start off by saying it's addicting. The sauce is a one of a kind. I truly mean that. It's not your typical pizza sauce. It's sweet. Pair this sweet sauce with incredible toppings (such as boar sausage) and you've got a mouthwatering winner. I wish there was a star/rating for being disappointment. Been a loyal customer of this particular ledos for over 20 years. Started going to ledos at the original university Blvd more years ago than I care to remember. Over the years, I've watch service at this particular ledos decline steadily over that time but tonight was the Last straw! After losing my phoned in order, the girl remembered taking it, the collection of girls all seemed to agree that the order was taken, and that no one inadvertently had picked it up, the one who seemed to be in charge went back to the kitchen. When she returned, she offered to remake my order for 50% off. I said fine and said I would be back and left. When I returned the manager came out and announced that he could not honor the deal. With that, before I lost my temper, I said no thanks and left, never to return again. Not that I will stop eating ledos pizza there are plenty of other ledos with much better service than this one. I certainly hope that the owner stops this decline before the staff chases away the rest of the loyal customers read more
