Took 3-40 min to complete the oil change (like they estimated) and I was out of there and got to work. They even honored the Yelp check-in special oil change which was nice of them to do so. Fabulous service and honest, respectful employees. As a woman, it can be difficult to get my car fixed and not feel like I'm being ripped off. All employees at this location were incredibly patient with me and explained all my options. They ended up giving me a better deal on 4 new tires than Costco. I am able to come here any time to get my tire pressure checked. I will be coming back for all my car needs. Robert at Lee Rollins Firestone was fantastic to work with. I brought my car in for a tire balance to try to address some shaking at higher speeds. When the tire balance didn't solve the problem, Robert had his mechanics troubleshoot the issue. He genuinely wanted to fix the issue and hoped, for my sake, that it was an inexpensive repair. He recommend changing the left front axle to see if that fixed the problem, but after doing so, realized that it was in fact the right front axle that needed to be replaced. He troubleshooted, installed the left, reinstalled the old part, then replaced the right axle. Above and beyond. My issue is solved and the cost was minimal. When the "Check Engine" warning lit up on the dashboard of our car, we wanted it towed to the nearest shop--which turned out to be Lee Rollins Firestone. We are so glad we took it there! We left our car there Robert told us it might take them until the next day to diagnose the problem (it was late afternoon)--but he called us back the same day, explained that it seems to be a major problem with the engine that might be covered by warranty, recommended that we tow the car to a dealer, and did not even charge us the diagnostic fee! Last month I drove down to San Diego from Orange County to visit a friend who'd been having a tough time with the pandemic. On my way back up, a few minutes after getting on the freeway, my tire caught a piece of shrapnel. Late afternoon on a Friday and I found myself crawling along an off-ramp wondering where I could go, the air hissing out of my tire as it steadily flattened. Sheer luck brought me to this Firestone. They'd technically closed and had already begun shuttering the bay doors, but as soon as they saw my car they stopped, stepped up, and helped me out. 20min later it was patched up and I was back on the road. They got my vehicle right in, and assessed the situation and gave me a totally reasonable estimate, esp compared to what the dealership was wanting. He was patient with me and very helpful. I came in without an appointment only 2 hrs before they closed but they were able to get everything finished in time. FEMALE CUSTOMERS- BEWARE!!!! I have known the manager Robert Estrada for years. I have always trusted this man & any Firestone shop that he has mangd.. I was completely shocked at his most recent unprofessional behavior. I took in my car in on a Tues. b/c it had died on me after overheating w/ VSA light on. I explained symptoms to Robert & after having his guys look at the car, he was dismayed that a 2008 Honda Accord w/ only 61 k miles needed a new head gasket. I told him that I had no choice but to purchase a salvaged title auto which I had CARFAXX on & even paid for a prepurchase inpection before buying & driving down from LA just the prior day. He said it would be a big job & ethe stimate was $1700. I authzd. work & he said the car would be ready on Tue. Of course, the car was not ready until Thurs. & although I was in desperate need of my car after them having it longer than a week, I was unable to pick up due to a trip & no ride to shop. On Sat. when I called to arrange pick up date/time, I proceeded to get a recap. & ask some basic questions as to what was done in order to understand why the car was now going to cost me an addtl. $160 to pick up. He berated me for asking questions & said that I should have asked those questions before the work was done. I explained that being a female, not having knowledge of cars, & not having discussion since a week+, I was only asking in order to learn & was in NO WAY questioning his intregity or the work done. Sadly, he continued to belittle and speak to me in a VERY rude manner. After I subtly pointed out that he was not speaking to me appropriately & gave him oppty. to apologize (or even become aware).... I told him that I have been in sales for over 20 years & disagreed w/ his commentary, & that NO question from a customer AT ANY TIME is a stupid one, or one that is not deserving of an answer. A customer that is paying that type of money is never deserving of such disrespect. It is a known fact that females are often taken advtg. of in this arena & when this is the response from a repair shop, I believe it creates feeling of suspicion, which I did not have until the phone call. So I write this just to advise that if you are a female unfamiliar w/ cars & lingo, to try to take car in with a male or family member etc. that knows about cars. My Regular Mechanic Retired so I was in need of a new "go too" place. My best friend sent me here so I took my S2000 in. I had this weird rubbing sound coming from the rear tire area. I thought it might be a wheel bearing. They instantly dismissed this and told me it was the brake rotors. They had them machined and changed the break pads. Bill is $300.00 I went to pick it up and they started by backing it into another car then denied that he hit anything. I was only standing back there watching the other car jolt, so what do I know??!?!!? Since there was no damage I just complained that they need to be more careful. I took it home and once I arrived in my neighborhood I could hear the noise again. I took it in again and told them to check the wheel bearings, please. They said that it is not the bearings, so they blame it on the rear axle. They said they don't know how to work on the rear axle of a Honda since most of all of Honda's are Front Wheel Drive. They said that I should just take it to a Honda Dealership. Of course this makes no sense and I take it to Honda in Poway. It took them about 1 hour to call me back and say that the wheel bearings are bad. So Honda fixed it up and I had it back later that day. I called LRF and broke the bad news to them. They didn't apologize even though I expressed to them that I paid 300 bucks to do nothing and then another 500 for Honda to do it right. They gave me a coupon for a 100% free oil change, however. About 1 month later I took them up on that offer and gave them my S2K for the day. I went to pick it up and they told me that they have to charge me $30 bucks because my Oil Cap had fallen off at some point. I asked them politely if maybe they didn't just misplace it. They told me that it was impossible that they misplaced it. I asked them that if it had fallen off at random.. shouldn't there be an oil smell or even oil splatter in the engine bay. They just said "no". So I bought it. Once I got home I noticed some weird vibrations coming from the engine bay. I looked around and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I also decided to try driving with the oil cap off. I made it about 100 yards before I could smell oil in the cabin. I called LRF and told them about my findings and they basically did nothing. I also told them that I have a weird vibration coming from the engine bay and they invited me back. I arrive back and they look into it and like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat, they pull the missing oil cap out from between the engine and firewall. WOW!!! I say.... I go on to tell them how I told them they just lost it in the first place and now it is found. They tell me how it is impossible that they misplaced it and it came off some time ago and just happen to get stuck there now since it was up on the lift that it just fell into that area from wherever it had been. So as one might imagine, I have never been there since. I never got upset with these folks and always looked to resolve this in a fair manor. I just wanted them to take ownership of their mistake, like people should. They couldn't even do this. No way I'd ever go back to this dump, even if they paid me. EDIT.... The owner of LRF contacted me about this review fairly quickly.... "When did this take place? I don't remember this experience nor does the other two members of our Management team. Can you please let me know the date this occured? This is not how we do business at Lee Rollins Firestone. Thank you! Robert" I want to make mention that this happened in Late 2005 - Early 2006. I don't remember the exact date since I have sold this particular car and all paperwork has been given to the new owner. read more

When calling, they already had an appointment for 9:30 and 11:30 and I requested a 10:30 appointment, they politely declined my request because they don't like to schedule their alignments so close to one another to ensure they have ample time to properly align the cars. That adherence to quality really stayed with me and convinced me to try them out! My appointment was at 8 AM and they took care of my oil change and my alignment. My car feels great now! This past month, I brought my car in for a general check up because I had not had my car serviced in over a year. I was so happy with the service that my husband asked me to bring his car in the next week! Here are some of the perks: -Easy Appointments: I always call in to get an appointment so they know to expect my car. The three times I've called to schedule...I was given an appointment the very next day. Easy peasy! -Friendly Service: Everyone is pleasant and respectful whether it's over the phone or in person. They even drop me off at my office nearby so my car can be serviced while I'm at work and it's always ready by the time I need to go home. -Fair Service: They always call to give a rundown of everything that is a MUST versus everything that is a recommendation. They have always been fair about what can wait a little longer in case we don't want to spend too much all at once. I love that I don't feel pressured or guilt tripped into just saying "OK" to everything and then feeling physically ill after seeing the final bill. I've been taking my car here for the last couple years, not just for routine service, but also when my car decides to act up - a couple months ago my brake gauge was broken and Lee Rollins did a great job taking care of it. Very professional, honest, down to earth guys that get the job done well and efficiently. Being a female I always have my guard up that I'll get gypped when it comes to car services, but I never get the feeling that these guys try to swindle me. Free wifi, T.V., restroom, coffee & water in their lobby if you decide to wait while your car is being serviced. They also offer to give you a ride & drop you off somewhere if it's within reasonable proximity (for all you ladies, UTC mall is nearby if you wanted to do some shopping). I'd recommend making an appointment, but they take walk ins. Depending on the service it can range from a few hours to a day or two. Usually I wait around 3-4 hours for scheduled maintenance checks. The oil changes are inexpensive and includes rotating your tires. 3. Timing. This place is always busy but they ALWAYS tell you when they will be finished with your car. When I was shopping around for quotes and estimates, they gave me the best deal at a very reasonable price. They were also very responsive and were helpful to answer any questions that I had. I took my truck into Lee Rollins Firestone because the brake booster was bad and the master cylinder was on it's way out. Basically my power brakes were not working very well at all. Since my truck is not worth much anymore, I usually do as much of the work on it myself as I can. However, a brake booster is a bit more involved than I wanted to take on. I first contacted Charlie at The Brake Shop and Tune and he recommended Firestone since my problem was a hydraulic issue. I contacted Firestone through Yelp and spoke with Robert who was very helpful and asked me to bring the truck in so they could verify what was wrong with the vehicle before beginning repairs. I took the truck in the next day and dropped it off. I met Robert in person and he is very nice guy. The garage space seemed clean and well organized. I left my truck with him and after verifying the problem, the techs went ahead and replaced the brake booster and master cylinder. I also had them replace the brake fluid, front and rear differential fluid, and the transfer case fluid. I checked over their work and everything seemed to spec and the truck is running great (for a 20 year old vehicle) now. Based on my first experience with Lee Rollins Firestone, I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

I am personally satisfied with their work. My '99 4Runner was vibrating pretty hard when it reaches 40mph. I had no idea if i was going crazy or if it was the car. Lee Rollins Firestone exceeded my expectations. I typically go to PepBoys for my oil changes however making an appointment with them is a nightmare. I work quite a bit and the last thing I want is to be stuck waiting for an oil change for hours. So after making 2 appointments with PepBoys and walking in at another time, I still didn't get an oil change because I just couldn't handle the wait times. My car was past due now over 1000 miles and I was frustrated. I called Lee Rollins yesterday at 11:30am and make an appointment for today at 11:30am. The guy who answered the phone was so friendly and it was easy to do. I showed up today around 11:31am and I was running in the door. The guy at the counter was so nice about it. Someone took my car in the shop right away. They have a great waiting area where I was able to study for a bit. Also the shop is close to MCAS Miramar so I also got to watch amazing aircraft fly as well. It took less than an hour for my oil change and tire rotation. The best part was they actually checked my car thoroughly. I had put air in my tires recently and each had a different reading. I am so glad the mechanic noticed this and fixed my error (I am not great with cars). I was told to come back anytime to get my air pressure read and fixed for free. They also gave me a heads up about my cabin filter needing replacement in the near future. I appreciate the extra time and care they gave to me/my car. I will definitely come back here for my next oil change. No more PepBoys for me!!! And I will refer my friends here as well. I've been a Firestone customer since 2000 and have done business with many store locations in California. I used to regularly visit the Mira Mesa Firestone store up until they closed a few years ago due to the remodel of the shopping center they were located in. I am well versed in automotive mechanics, repairing my own cars, boats, motorcycle, and RV, and the only time I bring my vehicles into the shop is for tires and alignment needs. I know what is right and what is not right, and FIrestone has always been an honest and fair company to do business with. The last two visits to Lee Rollins were for a tire rotation, and most recently, installation of a new set of tires for my Ford Expedition. Vinny assisted me over the phone and we worked out a package, and within a matter of 15 minutes I was down at the store dropping off my vehicle. The service experience here is very ergonomic and well organized. I am very happy with the customer service overall, along with fine workmanship which is pretty hard to find these days. Lee Rollins has straight shooters who know how to find what really needs to get fixed and then they do a great job. I've been a loyal customer for many years. I started going when I worked in the UTC area and I immediately could tell they are car people rather than sales people. I trust them when they say what needs to get fixed because they never try to push me to do repairs that aren't necessary. During my last oil change, they let me know that my CV joints were going bad. It was making some noise so they let me know I should get it replaced sooner rather than later. I was busy that day so I waited for the next convenient time for me to take in the car. It's easy to set up an appointment. They got you in and let me know it would take a couple of hours. They did a great job as promised. When I had brought the car in for the repair, I told them about another issue with the 3rd row seat not releasing to fold down properly. I had just taken my car in to the dealer (to fix a recall) and asked them for an estimate on the seat. They quoted me over $800. I didn't trust the dealer so I asked the guys at Lee Rollins to look at it. Within 5 minutes, they figured out the problem and let me know it would be a half hour job. I"m stoked that they figured it out so quickly and fixed it for a fraction of the cost.
