Salmon nigiri, spicy salmon roll, two kpop rolls! Extra ginger

The sushi is sooo good here! This is my go-to sushi spot in Fairfax! The K-pop roll and salmon nigiri are very delicious and fresh every time. When I order from doordash they are very quick! Great service!

Naked Double Salmon Roll ($13.99) + Salmon Sashimi ($5.50 for 2pcs)

Pricey. Nothing wrong with the sashimi itself. We asked for a few extra napkins and were told to ask a different business. The Naked Double Salmon Roll ($13.99) gets four stars for what it is. It's a new addition with good presentation and lots of salmon, and it's featured off the menu on a strip of handwritten green paper. I think it's a good fit for casual food court dining (cursed) because of the liberally-sprinkled tempura crunchies and the meh-but-flavorful orange mayo drizzle. I particularly liked how the exterior salmon was briefly seared on one side, giving it a pleasant and smoky texture. It's a good addition to the menu for salmon die-hards. Overall portion was good. Miso soup was inedibly salty and needs to be fixed. The salmon sashimi ($5.50) is about two pieces. I had the incorrect assumption that i would get more, but that's fine and dandy. I'll just walk back into Hmart 20 steps away and hit up the sushi section. The chefs there are just as skilled and are always appreciative of you.

I ordered the salmon teriyaki bento, which came out to a little over $27 after tax. Seemed a bit steep. The food came out beautifully presented and it was all very good, so I cannot complain too much, just a bit on the expensive side, even with inflation and being Northern Virginia. Service was friendly and the food didn't take terribly long to prepare. The California roll it came with did taste like it was high quality.

10/2/21 $4.00 for whatever bottle you get. This better be some kind of drink.

10/2/21 I have yet to eat the food here, but I seen to always get my drink here. No matter the cost of drinks costing four dollars each time, I come back for more. The drink option at times were better than what the other restaurants had to offer. The Calypso Blue lemonade was delicious, but very sugary. Still, it tasted better than the Pineacolota drinks I bought earlier. Maybe the next time I come by, I will try the food from this store.

Pink Lady Special Roll(12pcs) & Salmon Sushi Food was super yummy. A bit on the pricier end!

The sushi here is what's expected for the price point. I ordered the most expensive platter they offered and the craftsmanship was good on every item that was placed in the tray. There were no luxury cuts like proto, chutoro, amaebi, uni, and do forth. I never order rolls (only maki when they come in an omakase) but they were decently made as well. This is sushi quality that will never get 5 stars, but for what it is, a solid 4 star rating for decent shari, decent rice, decent craftsmanship.

I thought the sushi was quite good. Not out of the world but very good. Location is inside H mart. Its part of the 7-8 restaurants in the mini food court. So don't expecting anything crazy. But its good and fresh. We had eel avocado and bts roll and its better than a lot of places i've been to. I also tried their spicy miso ramen on a second visit and that was just ok. But not bad. The soup was good. Noodle was good. The chasu was too thin and lack of flavor. The egg was hard and not soft and liquid. But its $14. Some of the top ramen in northern va is $18-$20 so thats fine. Overall i like this place. Its a quick grab and sit or grab and go

Found this placed tucked inside the Fairfax H-Mart food court. My kids love udon so I ordered 2x shrimp tempura udon for $9.99 each. Take out only due to COVID and it was packed neatly. The udon noodles were nicely cooked and soup base was perfect. The shrimp tempura (2 per order) was light and crispy, even after sitting in the packaging for the ride home. Highly recommend this place for affordable udon. I plan on returning to try their sushi and ramen.

Good quality sushi. This place is located within the food market of H-market. There are several other options available nearby. Grab sushi and a yammy dessert from the French Baguette bakery.

Maru Ramen & Korean Cuisine was really good, and I'd definitely recommend it (at least for boxes,…read moreidk about the ramen) I got the spicy pork lunch special, and the portion was great. It was around $18.50. you get a lot for the price. The pork was really well marinated, had a lot of flavor, and they were not stingy with the amount. It also felt somewhat healthy since it came with a nice variety of sides. The meal came with three banchan: bean sprouts, kimchi, and cucumbers. They were all good and nicely pickled. There was also a small miso soup, which was a nice touch. The sides made the meal feel like a great deal. You get rice, and the purple rice upgrade was free. The salad was good too. it was not the ginger-style dressing. The tempura came with four pieces, and it was actually crispy panko instead of just being soft batter, which is always a good sign. The sushi was good as well, and the California roll came with three pieces. The vibe was also really welcoming. It was still busy on a Sunday around 1:30, which makes it seem like people really like this place. I also liked that they had self-pour water, which is always nice for a casual spot. Overall, this was a great meal. The portions were big, the food had a lot of flavor, and the value was really good. I totally recommend Maru Ramen & Korean Cuisine.

Last week we went with friends for an early Friday evening dinner at Maru in Vienna. Maru has been…read moreone of favorite DMV restauarants. However, there was a sign on their day saying they were now only open for lunch. Of course, we were disappointed, but were quickly able to figure out that there was another Maru location in the Pan Am shopping center. I was familiar with Pan Am because I buy art supplies at the Plaza store there. So, we headed over to the Pan Am Maru. A friendly staffer promptly seated us. About half the tables were occupied. We asked out server what was going on with the Vienna Maru and she told us they were gradually shutting it down completely. However, the Pan Am Maru is not fully functional yet. They have a sushi counter but it won't open until next year. I also don't know if the current Pan Am Maru menu is the one they are going with going forward. But I do note it is smaller than the one at the Vienna Maru, noting in particular that the lunch options, such as the bento boxes, are not on the Pan Am Maru menu. If they have done away with the bento boxes, I'm not that interested in returning. Service at the Pan Am Maru was very good. The ambience is comfortable. We ordered Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Spicy Chicken Bulgogi, Japchae, and the Katsu special. When they say the pork and chicken bulgogi are spicy, Mary is not fooling around. These dishes are hot spicy! Overall, each of our dishes were well-prepared and tasty. I also ordered the beef bulgogi steamed buns and they were excellent .

I had the szechuan beef noodle soup - the beef was tender alongside its tasty noodles and savoury broth. The scallion pancakes were solid and crunchy. The place was filling up and the ambiance reminds me of a traditional bustling noodle house - perfect for the cold snap we were experiencing at the time. We got hot and sour noodle soup, sichuan beef noodle soup, and an order of their pork soup dumplings. Portions are generous and prices are fair, it's easy to become a regular here if you live nearby. The hot and sour noodle soup is as advertised - just enough spice to complement the sour, but not overwhelm to make it feel like mala. It's served, as expected, with glass noodles, some bak choi, and some pork slices. Nothing spectacular but par for the course. The sichuan beef noodle foon soup was slight notch better. The broth gives really warm vibe and you can tell it's been brothing for a long time. Again just the right amount of spicy to make you keep slurping for more. The noodles were average, chewy, but not bouncy. Also comes with a healthy amount beef slices and bak choi. Again - a great noodle soup bowl but nothing jaw dropping. Soup dumplings were fantastic, however. The pork definitely has its own marinade and the soup is flavorful. The dumpling skin is well constructed and complemented well with the noodle soups - especially in cold weather. tldr; solid noodle soup spot, they seem to be consistent and really hits the mark when you're in a for your noodle fix. Soup dumplings are probably a must get side dish with whatever your main is
