Traditional diner, not very diverse but good food. The waitstaff were friendly and welcoming. The menu isn't too overwhelming and it's dinner menu all day. We both got fish dishes. I had catfish, grits and fries. The fish had the perfect crunch. My husband also had a catfish dish with étouffée. He said it was a little bland but the portions were huge.

Amazing breakfast of 2 eggs over easy, bacon, French Toast and a side biscuit

Have done lunch here many times but never breakfast. Definitely not disappointed. Eggs were perfect. Bacon was crispy and French toast was so good. Ordered a side biscuit because....... Always loved the diner themed ambiance. The service was spot on. Very local feel here in the morning.

Lees breakfast is like no other. I've tried a few things but the sausage biscuit is my go- to with an over medium egg.

Another good Take Home meal from Lee's. Lee's has Got the Catfish Lousianne - Yum as always, (fried) Catfish covered in Crawfish Etouffee! Also got the Pork Chop (smothered?), the one with 2 sides (rice+gravy, loaded potato), also Excellent

Today, I ate at Lee's in Hammond. We had a very nice waiter named Nathen. I got the fried shrimp, fries and ice cream, my experience with Lee's was a good one I definitely will come back.

Stop everything you are doing. Get to Hammond Louisiana right now! Get to Lee's Drive in!!! It's down town, in the heart of a bunch of restaurants and bars, shopping and such. It's an old Burger Chef building. Lots of stainless steel, black, white and pink tiles mid fifties style furniture. We had a short wait for a table. Parking lot was full!! The staff is friendly like a hound pup. All smiles. The place is clean, really sparkly clean. A good sized menu full of comfort food. I had the Zoro, half pound burger patty on top of Texas toast, piled high with chili and cheese with a big bunch of fries! Julie had an oyster po-boy that was "the best ever" portions are big! They have pie! Ice cream!! Brownies!! I didn't see a frown in the joint! I really really had fun here!! Our servers were wonderful! They asked how we liked it and we raved! We are going to make the trip from Baton Rouge often!! Five stars just doesn't cover how good Lee'

WOW! This place is always on point and truly the very best BBQ on the Northshore, which I don't say…read morelightly. Having lived in Austin and being obsessed with BBQ I'd call myself a little bit of a BBQ perfectionist. Anyone who has done it themselves knows to get it right you can't rush it, takes good prep, cooking process, and resting/proper finishing. Salty Joe's definitely focuses on all of those aspects of making good barbecue and the finished product is tasty. Their Brisket is juicy, smokey, and rich beef flavors, the ribs are tender and seasoned well, and the pulled pork is a good balance of prim flavor and smokiness. Don't skip on the drinks (margaritas are delicious) or the desert

Salty Joe's is more of a restaurant that has BBQ than it is a BBQ restaurant. Nothing wrong with…read morethat just an observation based on their huge menu. My buddy and I stopped in here one Saturday for lunch and decided to split an order of Philly cheesesteak eggrolls and a sampler platter. The eggrolls were solid and came with a cheese dipping sauce. There were 3 of these that were cut in half so really enough for 3-4 people to get a taste. The sampler platter came with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork with 2 sides. We got the beans and corn pudding. The corn pudding is a misnomer as this is really cornbread. Still good though. The meats were all pretty good with the brisket being better than I expected. Their sauces were not my favorite. I think one had some sort of blackberry flavor, but I could have that wrong. The food is pretty good; the service was on point and the place itself is fun and funky.

It was a little odd, we were the only customers in the restaurant the entire time we were there! Yes, it was Easter weekend, but it just felt odd at 7:00 on a Saturday night and we were the only ones there. Any way...we get seated at our table and ordered crab cakes for an appetizer. For the price, we were expecting more than one tiny crab cake. It was just ok. We were served bread with their signature flavored butter which was good. For dinner I ordered the filet cooked medium and my husband ordered the trout special. My steak was decent, slightly undercooked for my liking, but good flavor. My husband's trout was the smallest piece of fish I've ever seen on someone's plate at a restaurant. He enjoyed it but was still hungry after his meal. We opted not to get dessert since we were the only customers in the restaurant we felt like the staff were waiting for us to leave. That may not have been the case but that's how we felt. Maybe we picked a bad time to try this restaurant so we will give them another try. I would say this a great place for a special occasion if you're looking for ambience. I wouldn't go there with expectations of great food.

I vowed to never return here after multiple mediocre experiences. Well...I'm back…read more I must say I had a much better experience. This trip the place was slow and we were seated quickly in the front. The younger waitress did an okay job. She was very friendly and the food was acceptable. I asked what she recommended and she said the Mexican Breakfast I believe is what it was called. It wasn't a fancy Tex Mex type of a meal, nothing with beaucoup seasoning flair etc but I appreciated the simple authenticity of the meal. It was simple and really hit the spot. Also it was something I never would have ordered if she hadn't recommended it. I would have to agree as another reviewer mentioned, they could REALLY work on making things HOT rather than warm. Especially the coffee. The atmosphere is what you would expect from a mom and pop breakfast place with a reserved booth for staff where they hang out in the corner. I'm not sure if the overall service here improved or not yet tbh but the younger waitress did a much better job than my previous trips and I think they might have read some of the past reviews. I would like to leave 3.5 stars but that's not and option. To be fair I believe the young lady earned them more than 3 stars but I can't give this 4 stars so 3 it is.
