    Biscoff Vietnamese iced coffee

The sandwiches here are amazing, I usually get the bbq pork which I got again this time! Tried a newish menu item, the biscoff Vietnamese iced coffee. It's literally cr@ck I can't believe it I was shaking but it was so worth it. I loveee biscoff! There's electronic ordering on a giant iPad here too. The parking kind of sucks but that's alright! It can get packed here for a lunch rush so be prepared. I love the sesame balls too

I expected a bit more out of Lee's Sandwiches, although nothing was too bad it just wasn't as good to warrant a return. I stopped by around 11:30 and there were 2 other people waiting for their order. I didn't notice the order screen at first but nobody greeted me and nobody directed me to the order screen. After a few minutes of looking around I realized the screen was for ordering so I placed my order. I also noticed the kiosk doesn't have all the menu items on the board so I'm not sure if they even take orders in person? I would've liked to order one of the other sandwiches not on the screen, but I went with the grilled pork banh mi and a Lee's original coffee with half ice, totaled $17 after tax and tip. It only took about 5 minutes for my order to be ready as more people started coming in so the wait isn't bad. Both items just lack that classic delicious Vietnamese flavors and quality you typically find in their relative orders from other restaurants. The coffee was definitely strong with sugar but there wasn't enough coffee flavor, it was so rich in milk and sweetened condensed milk that it tasted more like a milkshake than a Vietnamese coffee. Maybe that's what Lee's is known for and although it wasn't particularly bad, it just wasn't what I hoped for. As for the sandwich, it was just okay. The bread didn't have that nice crunch and it was soft all around, but it did have good flavor. The pickled veggies were nice too. Unfortunately for the pork, although it had good flavors, it was way too fatty and grissly. There wasn't enough "meat" for the pork that was in this sandwich. And overall the flavors just seemed a bit mellow.

My first time Yelping Lees Sandwiches in the San Fernando Valley. We have lots of Vietnamese Sandwich Shops in our home area of Orange County. Its nice whenever I visit the Valley, I can now find them here. I stopped here yesterday after a business meeting. I ordered 20 egg rolls with Shrimp Chicken and Pork. I also ordered 3 Bahn Mi Sandwiches with meatballs and beef. They have a huge menu of sandwiches, and other side orders of food. Ice coffees are good here too. I ordered one. Food is very cheap here, depending how much food you order. Nice spot to kick it at and eat. No outdoor seating. Parking can be a problem sometimes with the other businesses nearby. Service is always good, I love coming here whenever in town.

Finally tried this spot for the first time! Oddly enough, I've had their Vietnamese iced coffee from Costco since they sell the frozen concentrated version, super good! Got here shortly after 5pm on a Monday, there was maybe like one other person. Parking is super small and I'm sure gets filled up fast with other businesses around. We got lucky with parking right up front! Walked in and tried ordering on their kiosk but they didn't have the Caramelized pork banh mi on there for whatever reason so we decided to just order with the cashier guy working. We sat down at an open table, good amount of seating and they had the news on the tv. Took about 10-15 minutes for our food and drinks to be ready and we took it to go to enjoy at home. The Thai tea with boba had too much cream in it, I prefer less to get more of the strong Thai tea flavor. The boba was good, surprisingly nice and chewy for a non-boba shop! I saved the iced Vietnamese coffee for the next morning to enjoy at work and absolutely loved it. Super strong but also perfect sweetness, would get it again, maybe even with boba! My bf's sandwich was unfortunately dry and a bit hard. I know these types of bread are kinda known for that but mine was perfect. I got the Caramelized pork bahn mi and they had enough spread and whatever else to make the bread soft! The pork was a bit too salty and didn't have that sweet flavor I'm used to from other bahn mi places. Still good and love that they put a hefty amount of pickled radish and carrots! Overall a great spot, would probably order some other stuff next time but would definitely come back. IG: @ammysalamii

    Croissant Teriyaki Chicken Sandwich
    Penelope

Croissant teriyaki chicken sandwich was very tasty and filling.. Bacon was crispy and not too greasy. Ordered at the self-order kiosk. Service was a bit slow since there were a good amount of people, but definitely worth the wait and the price.

    Terrible

THE WORST Lees I had so far. I had a bite and felt like I was eating bread with mayo inside. $11 isn't worth the quality or care. There's maybe 2oz of chicken inside. I went up to ask the aunty at the counter if that was normal...she said "yea there's plenty of chicken...see lots of chunks". Also the pickled cucumber is rancid or something. It has a super bitter taste. Bathrooms are out of order as well. Update: I weighed the chicken in the second un-bitten sandwich when I got home and there's barely 2oz of chicken. 1.80oz to be exact.

    Not worth $8

I came specifically for the viral Biscoff iced coffee, and it was a massive waste of time and money. I placed my order at 12:33 PM and didn't receive the drink until 12:54 PM. For an $8.00 drink, it is a total rip-off--it's a tiny cup that is almost entirely ice and foam. The service was a joke. I was ignored at the counter, then told it would be a 15-minute wait, and then the employee completely forgot to make the drink while I was waiting for my sandwich. There is zero sense of urgency or professional management here. Do not fall for the TikTok hype; save your money and your time and go literally anywhere else.

    Vietnamese coffee (Biscoff)

Yes this location carries the Biscoff and banana pudding Vietnamese coffees! I'm so glad this Lee's exists in the valley and I wish there were more around here or else the next closest one is in Pasadena. I love that the inside of this Lee's feels very lush and how the workers have decorated it in a way where I feel like I'm in someone's home rather than an establishment. I also like that when you ask for light ice here they actually give you light ice. Most Vietnamese coffee shops when ordering Vietnamese coffee will tell you that they have to give you less coffee if you ask for less ice. Not here and they're awesome for that. Growing up in San Jose, I'm used to having Lee's Sandwiches locations everywhere around me. The only thing I wish is that this location had earlier opening hours. I'm used most Lee's opening at 6 or 7am while this one opens pretty late at 9am. I'd come more often if that were the case.

    #2 #2. Pork Roll Sandwich
    Bianka G.

Got the #2 - pork roll sandwich (Banh Mi) Sandwich is BIG on a 10" baguette and comes with - House Pickled (Daikon & Carrot), Onion, Jalapeno, Cilantro, Salt & Pepper, Soy Sauce, and House Mayonnaise Sandwich is filling and tasty. Bread can be a bit too hard at times. Sandwiche hits many flavor profiles- freshness from cilantro, heat from the jalapeños, sweet/sour from the pickled veg, saltiness from the soy sauce, fat from the mayo, and crunch from the onion. I think that covers it all!

Grilled pork Banh mi amazing $10

Always love this location. Very consistent in their banh mi making. Love their grilled pork sandwich on the fresh French baguettes they bake lightly smudged with house mayo. Topped with jalapeños, cilantro, pickled carrots & daikon . So so good. All flavors work well together. Grab a fresh baguette on your way out. Don't skip on their iced coffee the best ever and I don't really drink coffee that's a lot coming from me!

Nothing succeeds like excess. In fact, most people will need a take out box for one less meal to cook. Delicatessen means delicate eating in German, but at a Jewish American Delicatessen, the emphasis is on the Eating, which I am not complaining. 1) I requested an off menu item of having a Reuben sandwich where half is Corned Beef and the other Pastrami. Brent's Reuben has warm Sauerkraut, grilled Rye bread, melted Swiss Cheese, 1,000 Island dressing. Thinly sliced, multi-layered Mound of Pastrami is a bit on the dry side. Curing doesn't create a deep meaty Umami and spicing is present but attenuated. The Corned Beef is moister with bit more Umami & plush, thin multi-layered red colored meat. I have to say the Pastrami at Langer's is cured more intensely to bring out a deep Umami as well as more complex and complementary spicing of especially warm spiced cloves that adds aromatic richness. Brent's Pastrami doesn't seem to reach that kind of apotheosis. 1b) I asked for the steak fries to be fried two minutes longer for a crisper finish which was honored. Not much in way of that distinctive potato earthiness, but acceptable. 1c) Coleslaw is mayonnaise based, watery, bland, but a good cruciferous, fibrous veggie to add more fibre, healthful phytochemicals to counter the meat overload even though it isn't flavourful 2) Carrot Cake is closer to a delicate, dense, moist spice cake. A slice is enormous since it is cut from an extra tall cake studded with crushed walnuts and a cream cheese like not too sweet frosting. At $14 it could feed 4 people. Service is fine. They take your order and run with it. Bit of tunnel vision where it may be a bit hard to flag them down. But the job does get done. Overall 3+ stars
