Okay let me tell you that this place will change the way you think about chain sandwich shops. Starting with Eli here at the Van Nuys location. He was tremendously welcoming and helped me ultimately decide on the Cj Pastrami with the crunch bread. I swapped the mustard for mayonnaise and added a side of their garlic sauce. Let me just tell you that sauce is incredibly addictive! For the chips I went with one of my favorite brands Dirty. Forget that Sub whatever place and come here instead.

Ordered 30 sandwiches for ST week. I asked Dom to put them in boxes cut in halves with cookies, mayo... Without hesitation he said okay. I'm apart of their rewards app program and I love it. Its polly been 2 or 3 months since I signed up and I received 1 free cookie, 2 sandwiches, and one macaroni salad. There are always deals: $5 sammie deals, bogo deals and most recent deal 3 visits and get free whole sandwich until Oct 5th. The weird part is you don't see the deals on their app sometimes but it's on their direct website. My work orders from here a lot because it's down the street from the hospital. Sometimes it gets so busy that it takes awhile for our order to be ready but service is always great. My fav is their Dutch crunch bread. This is my first place where I was introduced to Dutch crunch bread. Idk how I didn't know of this bread sooner... Thank you Ellie and Dom for all your help.

Food is bomb !! I tried the "listen Linda" with French bread and it was very GOOD!! The names of the sandwiches are cute and different. The sand which was amazing and so soft!! I should have got a bigger one instead of the Sammie. But I will be back!!! Service was good and they are easy going!!! I highly recommend. !! I will be back :) -Marshay Dede

Nice location, staff was nice and the place was very clean. I the BLAT sandwich it was very good. Would definitely have it again. I had a pickle on the side and while it was good, it wasn't has crisp as I would have liked.

Della's Deli Mini but no toppings. I can handle lettuce. Lol

So I've been here twice. Good the first time (prob 4 stars) This time my sandwich came almost empty of any toppings and the bread is stale. Like a sprinkle of lettuce is not the works. Hope they can adjust. Would be two stars but averaging.

The sandwiches were fire! They have great quality ingredients and a lot of diverse breads to select from. Nice menu with notable sayings from people like the little boy who was popular on YouTube saying "listen Linda" passage. The menu is big with unique sandwich names. The place is clean and cute inside.

Hey Mr. Pickle's! Welcome to the Los Angeles and L.A.'s SFV. This hot, cold, sammie, mini and whole sandwich shop knows how to hit the spot with classic melts, French dips, savory subs and veggie options that will having you desiring more. I've had the Truly Vegan in the "Sammie" size as well as the "Whole," their house salad and of course all the pickles I can handle. The Truly Vegan is pretty solid especially with the Roasted Red Pepper Hummus to round it out. Lots of veggie options, easy modifications if needed and all the classic deli stand outs. The bread options are fresh, though I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of their style of dutch crunch vs. places like Ike's Sandwiches. Mr Pickle's French Roll is close to perfect, just like the crisp dill pickles. The sandwich shop fun doesn't stop at two sides of bread loaded with choice options... It also includes sides like their macaroni salad, red potato salad, chocolate chip cookies, salads, wraps and then some. You can pop into Mr. P's all seven days a week as early as 9am (10am on Sundays) and as late as 8pm (7p on Sundays) in the Mid Valley Marketplace shopping center on Sepulveda Blvd and Sherman Way. There's some tables and chairs outside as well as in. Friendly people. Fresh food. Plenty of parking in a huge shopping place/marketplace lot with Bank of America, Starbucks, Chase, Jon's and CVS among other businesses. Download the Mr Pickles App to earn Pickle Points which includes so awesome perks and freebies. Check out their swag shop for cool accessories, clothing and items.

Your bread options at Mr. Pickles - the Dutch Crunch is a bit sweet

I really, really wanted to like my first try with this place more than I did. The Mama Mia, meatballs and salami and cheese with marinara, was just OK - not quite as flavorful or stuffed with ingredients as I had hoped. My wife's Mrs Pickles garnered a similar reaction, though the amount of meat and veggies was better with this one. One culprit may have been the Dutch Crunch bread choice, which was a bit too sweet - I would choose a different bread next time. Price is just a bit high too - $24 for 2 "sammies" which are the mid size option. The cookie included with each sandwich is a nice touch. I'll probably give this place a second chance, but I'll try something different next time.

Great sandwiches, great service and overall a great new addition to the Valley. I've been here 2x and both times and have been awesome. I love how they offer so much variety of sandwiches, between hot, cold and even wraps. You can choose from the different breads and sizes you can get. The Dutch bread was so delicious and so unique I love the crunch and sweetness. Something I've never had before. The ingredients are fresh and I love that the works include mayo, mustard, garlic sauce, onion, pickle, pepperoncini and lettuce. I would like if they could add a little more toppings next time. I'll make sure to ask for this. All the sandwiches are custom made to your liking. I love pickles and I loved their cookie. My go to right now is the Listen Linda, I've had it on the Dutch bread and in the wrap. The owner was really nice and I plan on coming back, wish they were a little closer to me. They are in the shopping center and have plenty of parking. Would recommend.

Free chocolate chip cookie included with every sandwich!

Mr. Pickle's has been open just a month or so now in the shopping plaza off of Sherman Way and Sepulveda Blvd. Finally decided to give them a shot and took some lunch for my wife at work. Since it's relatively new, the interior of the sandwich shop is still sparkly clean (here's hoping that lasts!). You order at the counter and wait for your sandwich to be ready. Not knowing what to get, I ordered the Italian while wifey got the BLAT. Sandwiches came out in a reasonable amount of time (got lucky and arrived just before the lunch rush). The BLAT is a triple decker with bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato - must try if you're an avocado lover! The sandwich was huge for my better half so she could only finish half. There's 3 sizes for the other sandwiches - mini, sammie (regular), and whole (large). I got the Italian sammie size - originally I thought it looked pretty small, but it turned out to be just the right size for me as they really stuffed the sandwich! Tummys/appetites may vary. Overall we really liked Mr. Pickle's and will definitely be back to try more of their menu! Friendly employees, clean shop, good sandwiches, and free cookies are included with every sandwich (a nice and soft dessert). You can order online for pick-up and sign up for their loyalty program if you're into that - they also sell merch!

I meant what I said in my first review, And it appears you guys took it to heart! Today was your second surprise inspection. I didn't anticipate having Mr Pickles today but that removes bias from us both. My work grabbed us a bunch of sandwiches and I had a MR PICKLE on Dutch Crunch- You guys executed flawlessly. The bread was excellent and sandwich was made well, didn't lack anything, it was everything I hoped had made it way down to LA when I first saw this location opening. Wishing you guys all the best. Pictures added as a reference.

Prioritized an online order for someone absent while we waited 30 minutes. Poor order management.
    John M.

The food was just okay, nothing special. My partner got the tuna sandwich, and it was really bland. The only thing giving it any flavor was the sweet Dutch roll it was served on. The service, though, was really disappointing. We waited 30 minutes for just two sandwiches, and this is supposed to be a fast food place. If you're taking a quick lunch break, that kind of delay is frustrating. Sandwiches made with "fresh ingredients" as the worker stated when I tried to follow up on my order, shouldn't take half an hour to prepare. With that being said, I won't be coming back, nor I would recommend eating at this place.

I was intrigued when I saw a spot that I had never heard of with a good yelp rating, I had to check it out. After reading a few of the reviews, and looking at the photographs I was sold. The Antidote delivery was close by, but let me tell you I had difficulty finding it. I want to make sure that others are aware of the challenge because it is definitely worth it. The issue is the signage. I was confident when I walked in and told Arthur, the gentleman behind the counter, that there was no sign, indicating Antidote Delivery, he politely corrected me. It turns out that next to the "market" sign there is an exclamation mark Which shows antidote delivery. My eyes went right over it and I never saw it, as a result I found myself circling around, trying to find the correct location. Once you find it, you may be hesitant to enter thinking that this is just a liquor store. In fact, this market has been here for 25 years and they prepare a fresh submarine sandwich that is delicious. So here is what you need to know upfront, the ambience is not desirable, so plan on a takeout. But if you're looking for a local business with a fresh delicious submarine sandwich, I would give this a try. Arthur was very kind to explain that they do deliveries within 5 miles for $2.99. So if you live within 5 miles you can order your sandwich and have it delivered. It's convenient because it's also a liquor store. You can order anything else at the same time and have that included for that nominal fee. It's always nice to support local places, this feels like a family business but I didn't ask so I'm not sure. One thing I'm certain of, I will be returning.

If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!

Great sandos. Picked up for the Hollywood Bowl…read more Grillen chicken caesar wrap was a 10/10. The wrap itself is insanely thin. The fillings are abundant. And the generous side of caesar dressing is the very BEST I've ever had. Wish I could have saved it and slathered it on everything. The Turk sando was very good, but more like a 4/5. Solid fillings and good ratios, but not a WOWER. Added chips and 2 desserts: the chocolate chip cookie which was outrageous, loaded with chocolate in every bite, and the lemon olive oil cake was divine. Pro tip: do not skip out on the desserts. Our order was accurate and pickup was easy. Prices were fair. Will visit again, especially for the wraps.

Ggiata is the only place I know of that carries my favorite Italian Rainbow cookies, so I figured I…read moremight as well try a sandwich while picking those up. One of the seasonal specials is the Martha which is an upgraded version of chicken salad (Tarragon chicken salad, apples, shaved fennel, arugula, basil, lemon, garlic aioli on grilled Ciabatta, $16) which sounded pretty good. I placed the order online and headed over to this busy section of Studio City. Street parking can be tricky especially in the afternoon, and there are 'parking ticketers' out in force. This was my first time here at this location, but they had a handy takeout window at the one end, and a friendly guy handed me the bag. As for the food, I could only eat half of the sandwich; one reason is because it was a Lot of sandwich and second, I didn't really enjoy this for the most part (I did give the other half to a hungry co-worker who did like it). Then my favorite part, the cookies. I ordered two orders (two come in an order) so I had four to enjoy. The first bag was a decent sized pair of cookies, but they shafted me on the second order. This was basically one cookie cut to make two which was clearly noticeable compared to the other order. I was too far to return these but next time, it's something I will check on before leaving. I didn't have this problem the first time I came here (even though it was a different location) but as for anything, I recommend checking your order prior to leaving. Otherwise, I will be returning to Ggiata but maybe for a classic Turk or Antonia, or even the arancini side-

There's plenty of seating in the outdoor patio, and lots of free parking. My food was ready very quickly, and it hit the spot. The pastrami was delicious, and the chopped pickles/onions/tomatoes on top were fantastic. I would buy the seasoned toppings on their own! I got the small sandwich, which was still pretty big! If you need a good lunch spot, I couldn't recommend DeFranko's more.

I'm actually glad I didn't go out of my way for it, as we only stopped by because we happened to be nearby at Lake Balboa Park. The shop itself is a tiny shack with fewer than six seats at the counter. While they have picnic benches out back, you have to head inside to order, which can get pretty cramped. To their credit, they do a good job of limiting the number of people inside at once, but I would recommend ordering to-go to avoid the tight squeeze. I tried their most popular items--the Italian and the Pastrami--and honestly, both were a bit underwhelming. I enjoyed the chopped onions, pickles, and tomatoes, which reminded me of the sandwich shops back home in Boston, but there are definitely better Pastrami and Italian-style sandwiches available in the greater LA area. I'm happy I finally crossed this off my list, but I likely won't be making a special trip back.
