Suffice to say, we will return on a day where I don't have an all-day migraine so that I have the energy to push my toddler in that car. Parking is plentiful and is free. Restrooms are portapotties. After our wine tasting, we were able to take the bottle we bought and pour ourselves a cup to enjoy while we view the lavender field. Their lavender field may be a bit smaller than other farms', but it is so relaxing to just watch and listen to the bees. They also have a wine vineyard you can explore, but we were more fascinated with all the little bumblebees and honeybees encircling the lavender field. Toy Story 5 is out and the kid in me LOVES Toy Story.. they are my favorite Disney movies that are animated and aren't Princess-related so I had to see Toy Story 5 and I decided to see it in a format I haven't watched a movie in before (Screen X). I was excited that they have Screen X as I've come close to seeing a movie in Screen X before but ended up not getting around to it. I lived in Idaho for a couple years and the Regal in Boise has different formats for movies like IMAX, Screen X and 4DX. I absolutely LOVE 4DX movies so that was my go to theater for that but I had it in the back of my mind to do Screen X sometime and recently found out that was something offered at this theater. It was nice to see what it was all about but honestly didn't feel it was anything that special. The Screen is basically extended with projections on the sides of the auditorium during key parts of the movie but the images on the sides are darker, not nearly as bright as the screen in front of you and they are blurry looking. It was honestly kind of distracting. I originally wanted to do 3D with Screen X but then decided because I've never seen a movie in Screen X to just do regular Screen X to see if I actually like the format first and I'm glad I went that route because maybe the 3D would have enhanced the side screens a bit more but I could see it also possibly being overwhelming and disorienting if I did it with the 3D. I know alot of people say they think that 4DX is distracting and overwhelming to the senses with the moving seats but honestly I would much rather have watched this in 4DX.. Sadly they don't have 4DX at this theater though and the only theater in Washington that does is the Regal in downtown Seattle. It would be nice if they added 4DX as an option here as I'd rather make the long drive here than fight all the traffic in Seattle to get there but I know it's extremely expensive for them to convert even one auditorium to the 4DX seats so that likely won't be happening any time soon if ever. Overall though, I LOVED the movie and the theater was very nice! I didn't get any concessions today as I felt it would be more worth it to hit up the Wendy's drive thru after for the minion meal, but I do enjoy Regal's Sips by Pepsi- give them a try if you haven't! They cost a bit less than a regular soda or even the small icee and they have unique flavors like a Cotton Candy lemonade topped with real cotton candy and cotton candy boba!! Enjoy ;)

If you want to spend your time wisely, you can use some of that time for something else. Cost for two tickets, two drinks and popcorn: $77. Now the end of the movie. No way that's IMAX. That's a standard movie on a big bent screen with extremely loud (too loud) sound. If they need certification to say they are IMAX it should be pulled. IMAX means Immersive Audio Experience. Nothing immersive here. Go to IMAX in Tacoma!

I had lived in Eatonville for a while and was unsure if they were open or it was another unfortunate case of classic America dying off, but it is only open regularly at 1900 every night or the matinee's at 2. I thought that they were also pretty good about showing the newest movie titles, they may not have it that day, but they will have it usually within a week if not sooner. I saw Jurassic World within a week of it coming out nationwide. This was something I was surprised about and I have checked their website and they generally stay on top of it. They had the new Hunger games out very quick. As to the theater itself it is great, you walk in and pay for your tickets at a window like you used too, and the person behind the glass is always nice, and they have a cash price which I think is $6.00 per person, and all of the drinks and popcorn are well priced as well. It is also fresh unlike many new ones where the popcorn you are eating this Saturday was popped before Orville Reddenbacher had peach fuzz. The value here is incredible. It has an old school feel with a the most up to date amenities save for the new recliners that are there. With that said there chairs are plush and extremely comfortable, so I did not feel as though I was missing anything. The armrests are nice and the drink holder will actually fit your drink and it is not cumbersome. The seats are also wide in comparison to their mainstream counterparts. I am a relatively large person frame wise but relatively lean and the seats fit me extremely well, but if you are larger there is usually another space available to accommodate if need be I would assume. That brings me to the best part, if you want a date Saturday night it is a great choice. If you want to be in a theater where it is only you and your date and MAYBE 2 other people go on a Monday or Tuesday night a week after the release. I did this and it was me and my girlfriend with a total of 5 people in the theater. It was amazing. All in all this theater is amazing and is my favorite theater even though Yelm opened the new one with recliners and beer. I prefer this one for the short lines, comfort, service, and quality of the place. The only advice I would give is the parking is streetside with a small parking lot so you may want to walk if you live in Eatonville, which is no big deal considering the town size, or find a another lot to park in such as the Napa close by, the Flower Shop, or many other options, just not Plaza as they are still open.
