Picked up dinner from Legaci Eats last night since their food truck was in Ruckersville. We picked up several dishes and all shared. Favorites were the shrimp and grits, chicken and waffle slider (which was really the equivalent to a full size sandwich as it was 2 large "sliders"), and the poutine. Great mission with good food from good people, which we will continue to support.

My family and I had an amazing dinner last night thanks to Legaci Eats. We got a few things to try and share. Loved the poutine and the smores bread pudding is a new favorite for sure. We will definitely be back when they are close by!!

Sooo good! I have been dying to try this place after following them on social media, and somehow kept missing them at events around town. We FINALLY got to try the food today and it was more than worth the wait! The pork belly bao bun was one of the best food truck items we've ever had. And the chicken and waffles and cannolis were delicious too. Not to mention Steve the owner and his partner (I can't remember her name) are so kind and friendly. The nicest people. If the food wasn't enough to make you try them, come just to meet these incredible folks. Can't wait to try more of their menu!

Unfortunately, our last two visits have been marred by the same new server who was consistently rude and dismissive. On our most recent visit, we waited over 10 minutes before she approached our table. My husband ordered a meal (he loves the BBQ), but I cannot eat the smoked food due to stomach issues. I simply ordered a rum and coke with lime. She responded with "Pepsi?" and later repeated back only "Pepsi" when confirming the order, completely ignoring the rum portion even after I emphasized it. When my husband requested sangria -- something the bartender has happily made for us on previous Friday/Saturday visits -- she insisted they don't serve it and that he must have had it on a Sunday. We never visit on Sundays. Later in the evening, we moved closer to the fire pit because it was cool outside. She brought our water over and checked on us a couple of times. We told her we were fine. Toward the end of the night, my husband went to the bar to order another drink (as we've done before when the server isn't readily available). When it came time to close out our tab, the server arrived with the manager (Nolan) in tow. His presence felt awkward and accusatory -- as if we were about to skip out on the bill or posed some kind of problem. When we expressed confusion, he said he was just there to "warm his hands." As longtime, regular customers, we found the overall treatment disrespectful and off-putting. We tried speaking with a manager afterward to share our experience, but it didn't seem to go anywhere. We genuinely wanted to continue supporting this spot for the music and atmosphere, but after two poor experiences in a row with this server and the strange handling at close-out, we will not be returning. There are plenty of other options nearby.

I can for the BBQ and ordered a sampler. Sliced Brisket lean with bark and some of their smoked sausage. Comes with Cornbread and 2 sides. I went Standard here coleslaw and potato salad. I'll start with the good, the coleslaw caught me off guard. It looks pretty generic but honestly I think it was the best thing on my plate. Sweet with tiny kick, maybe some horseradish I think. But I ate it all. The potato salad was just too dry. It needs some mayonnaise, mustard, something. The BBQ sauce is tangy and not too bad. I would have liked a couple of options maybe a sweet or spicy one as well. The smoked sausage wasn't too bad, just wish it was served temperature hot. Also it was a bit greasy and with too much charcoal grit, which kind of killed its appeal. Here's where I get disappointed, no burnt ends, apparently they were sold out. The brisket. It was more like a pulled pork than brisket. The request for dry and bark went out the door or they have no idea what I wanted. This was very moist and greasy. Again temperature hot would have helped it tremendously. The meat has no real smoke rings, just the burnt exterior. Overall it's not bad but I just wouldn't consider this place as a true BBQ restaurant by what I was severed.

Texas caviar was too strong with onions so I didn't even try that (just my preference. Some people like that. GBs were okay. Didn't try Mac as I'm follow a gluten free diet. I was SO looking forward to the collards! Nope. Waaay too salty. Advice: Go for the bbq and see if that's any good but stay away a from everything else. Place has really gone done hill over the years.

Try this spot out!…read more Came here for dinner with a friend on a work trip and would go back again for certain! We shared the platter - pulled pork, ribs, brisket, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. The pulled pork was decent, but the ribs and the brisket were amazing! My favorite being the ribs. The collard greens and mac were also very good! Little salty for the greens but I loved it. The bbq sauce and the whole meal was awesome. The staff were friendly and we actually ran into a cook who is from San Diego which is where my coworker was from also. We finished with the pudding and oh boy was that a blast from the past. Took me back to being a kid and having banana pudding with vanilla wafers at grandmas. Ambiance is a small house style building that is next to a gas station. Don't let it fool you, they know what they're doing for bbq. If I wasn't across the country I'd go back here quite often! I love to bbq and can give a few places a run for their money, but not those ribs... Olde Towne smokehouse had some of the best ribs I've eaten. Good work, and good eatin! Recommend.
