My group of 5 did the Zombie Xmas themed escape room w/ Marnie as our Game Master. She was super helpful and the room was one of the "easier" ones according to her. Still a good challenge for us in our late 20's to early 30's haha. Would recommend this place. We finished w/ about 1 min 30 seconds left. The puzzles were challenging and kept us engaged. We actually had to split into 2 groups which I wasn't expecting. There was a little bit of Morse code, number/letter combinations, etc. This one was maybe 3-4/10 scary. Not too scary. No jump scares or anything. read more

I genuinely cannot stop thinking about this escape room. Asa created one of the most immersive, terrifying, and insanely well-thought-out horror experiences I've ever done. From the second we walked in, the atmosphere was intense -- every detail, from the lighting to the sound design to the actors, felt straight out of a horror movie. The scares were perfectly timed, but what really made it unforgettable was how interactive and creative everything was. read more

We haven't done an escape room with just the two of us in a while so it was time to refresh our skills. We have already done Cabin 13 and Zombie Rising here and we thought it would be fun to do one of the remaining Christmas themed escape rooms in OC so we returned to Legacy for The Grinchmas Carnival which is a spin of their Georgie room. They have two suites in this business park and have the four rooms split between them. The suite with Grinchmas Carnival and Zombie Rising is right at the top of the stairs and when we came around the corner, we surprised to see a sandwich box sign with a personalized welcome which was very cool and a nice extra touch to the experience. We were greeted by game master Christina who was so great before, during, and after. She gave us a very warm greeting and we chit chatted about their other rooms that we have done there. She seemed so happy and enjoying her day, it was very refreshing. In this room, you have the option of being split up at the start or having everybody together. We decided to start together since we were a little rusty. There are a lot of fun puzzles, multiple rooms, and the Christmas theme is strong. I would say this room is a little on the easier side and would definitely be fun for kids and families. We still needed a little help a few times and Christina would give the hint in a fun way instead of just talking in a regular voice. We had a great time and look forward to returning again to do the Sugar Rush Wonderland room to complete all of the rooms here. read more

Please go to Legacy - they have such great game masters here and the owners helped with a minor issue we had above and beyond. We have done the candy-themed one twice and the kiddos were thoroughly entertained! Love the 3 room setup of that one and they do change things up so it was different the 2nd time around. Also, we did Cabin 13 and that was so cool! We loved the intrigue and mystery and the dark theme! Definitely want to try their other ones and rumor has it, they will be having one unique for Christmas! read more

My children escaped from Cabin 13 yesterday with the help of Cali. They had so much fun that we came back today, bringing 5 more players. Today we were lucky to have Vickie as our master. Honestly this was the best escape room location I have ever been to...and I have been to many MANY ESCAPE ROOMS. The theming of each and every room is phenomenal, you can see the love and effort that is put into every single escape room. Even the energy of the game masters are so welcoming, they truly all love their job. Especially my lovely game master Christina...she made our game(s) very special with her charisma, magnetic personality, energy, and the pure joy she got watching us play the game. She legitimately gets sucked into the world as much as the players do and loves her job tremendously. To the point that...she managed to convince us to reserve another escape room THE SAME NIGHT, RIGHT AFTER WE JUST WON ONE! We were so lucky that she was our game master for the second escape room too, just what we needed to bring our energy back to maximum levels and feel ready to immerse into the game. Decided to do an Escape Room and had a really great time doing it. There was only two of us so it was hard to finish the entire puzzle. Thank goodness we had our wonderful guide Vicki who gave us the clues we needed as well as some extra time to let us finish the end. We did the Jason Friday the 13th cabin. Very interactive and fun. We figured out a good 70% of it but needed Vicki's help which she was amazing and patient at providing. Will definitely be back to try the other rooms they will have! read more

Me and my boyfriend did Cabin 13 as our first ever escape room, and it was honestly very cool. Our game master Noah was great at explaining things and gave us intuitive hints when we needed without obviously giving the answer. The room was themed really well and it was super cool and immersive! The puzzles were pretty straightforward with some more obvious than others, but were not easy to solve either (they were not easy but not impossible)! They close 2 rooms off to make it easier for 2 people, but it didn't feel like we were missing out on anything. We weren't able to solve it within the hour mark with it being our first time, but Noah was super encouraging and I would definitely return. Thank you! read more

Had a fun night escaping the room Georgie! The room has lots of puzzles of different types, and our amazing game master Vickie guided us accurately and promptly when she was asked for the hints. Since we are only 2 players, we skipped two of the rooms that are meant for larger groups. This adjustment didn't spoil anything, everything is well-thought and I love this accommodation! Vickie was our game master and she was so amazing. I appreciated how cheerful and welcoming she was. She's a lot of fun and very nice. The hints she gave us were very helpful. She's clearly an escape room enthusiast - it's always so much fun when your game master is just as excited as you are. The puzzles in our room were great. Everything made you think but nothing was unreasonably hard. The only slightly minor thing is that that there was one part of the puzzle that was arranged a little weird so it made it a bit hard to understand it - that's the only thing. Ok so the escape room itself was 4 stars. But Vicky (the game master) made it a 5 star experience! We did the Grinchmas carnival room. It was very kid friendly room with lots of cute surprises. The only downside was that when we unlocked some clues, little doors would open but they were so quiet that you couldn't tell anything happened and then we would realize later that the door was open and a clue was waiting. Also, the Grinch decorations were covering up another room's decorations and we didn't realize we weren't supposed to take them off the wall. It made it a tad confusing. However, Vicky's kindness and positive energy made for a great day. Will definitely be back to try a non-kid-friendly room. read more

I went here on a Tuesday to do Zombie Rising with some coworkers--some of whom have never done an escape room before. It was the perfect experience for beginners, as the puzzles were relatively easy, but still challenging enough to boggle the mind a little. Phones aren't allowed in the rooms and they provided lockers to leave personal belongings. There were 5 different rooms to choose from. We chose to do the Zombie Apocalypse. They have two rooms that are supposed to be scarier and two that are not scary at all. The zombie was in between. We had one hour to complete the room. The room had a bunch of clues. Some were easier than others. We actually bypassed 3 of the locks because we accidentally got the factory reset. That took a little bit out of the fun for us since we didn't need to find the codes for those locks. We end up finishing with 26 minutes left on the clock. Our game master helped out with clues when we needed it and got stubborn and stuck on a single clue. There was 6 of us and total came out to $42/person. This room was fun, but for this price, I was expecting a more intricate escape room with more rooms or interactions. I've been here twice did the Jester and the fortune teller. The jester was fun! We had couple of hints but escaped. The fortune teller was difficult but was challenging. The staff here are friendly and made the process smooth. Would love to try other escape rooms our next visit!

At first I was hesitant with going in only a group of 4, as usually 6ppl is a good amount, but things worked out well. Everyone got their share of solving puzzles and contributing to the plot. Unique things here I'ven't seen at other escape rooms: + An eerie projector display triggered as part of the ominous plot. + The murderer turning out to be someone familiar! (no spoilers) Other likes: + Red herrings were minimal. I don't like red herrings in an escape room. + Good amount of parking. Quiet, safe, peaceful ambience. + Conveniently located near the 405. + The staff were nice and helpful and good at immersing us in the plot. - Weird, after the experience, they email+text us saying they have our photos, but we click the link, there's no photos. - Gripe: Wish I got a chance to put my Braille or Morse skills to use haha

Our gamemaster, Jerry, made the whole experience, especially when we were escaping SASHA. He really paid attention and offered hints only when we were really struggling. I do appreciate that he really abided by the level of help we requested initially. Most places will give you X number of hints which can add pressure to the experience, but Wild Goose offers unlimited hints but based on your groups preference. (Super helpful, only when needed/asked for, no help). Overall, great time! I'll be keeping an eye out for their new rooms. And thank you, Jerry! You were the best!! Couple things to keep in mind: - there's only two rooms - it's located upstairs in Diamond Jamboree (horrible parking)

I like how this theme was different. since a lot of escape rooms are like relics, zombies, etc. We made a reservation and everything was fairly quick to get us situated and started in our room. I would say this one was not as exciting compared to other rooms, and a bit small. I like how it did not rely too heavily on locks and codes. The Game Master was not too involved and honestly not very enthusiastic. I think when you do have game masters that are really fun, it really improves the game. Of all escape room places so far, this was just mid tier for me!

We began with the Aji tuna on crispy rice, topped with a delicate sliver of jalapeño and crispy shallots, a perfect balance of freshness, spice, and crunch. The second course was Stefanie's famous focaccia...one sweet and one savory. The savory version featured parmesan, her homemade bread and butter, pickles from her garden, and a touch of mustard seed. The bread, made simply with flour, water, and salt, takes two to three days to create. The sweet focaccia was equally impressive, topped with brie, honey, and a guava jam made from her own garden-grown guavas... truly special. Next came the sweet potato course, made from her garden's harvest and paired with roasted pine nuts and coconut-shaved gnocchi in brown butter. The flavors were rich yet comforting, and the presentation was artistic and thoughtful. The main course... short ribs with a stunning potato gratin, was a showstopper. The short ribs were tender and deeply flavorful, garnished with delicate edible flowers from her garden, while the gratin was layered beautifully and topped with a fragrant chimichurri. Dessert was one of the best I've ever had: a sticky toffee date cake with a caramel apple sauce made from apples in her garden, served with raw cream vanilla bean ice cream. The balance of warmth, sweetness, and texture was perfection. The wine pairings, thoughtfully curated by Oscar from Sequoia Grove Winery, elevated the entire experience, from the velvety Merlot to the bold Cabernet, every sip complemented the food flawlessly. What makes Chef Stefanie so special is her warmth and authenticity. She shares her passion for food and where it comes from in a way that's engaging and educational, never pretentious. Wonderful summer spot for families with YOUNG KIDS!!!…read more Lots of different ways to play: Large grass area Lagoon/bay with sand and seashells Playground with lots of slides There are also lots of PICNIC TABLES at this location so it's easy to set up for breakfast or lunch. It's a very fun and safe environment for our kids and makes our summers days more fun! Our 3 year old enjoys the playground and the lagoon too. You have to PAY FOR PARKING but that's pretty normal for Newport Beach. We usually find parking very easily near here. Also, there are PUBLIC RESTROOMS and showers to rinse off available inside & next to the "lighthouse" - another thing that makes this spot easier with kiddos!

Showed up on the day to rent bikes and they allowed us to try a few before deciding. The bikes could be in better condition, most of the fleet were showing significant wear. One of our e-bikes had low battery charge and even though someone was able to bike out to where we were to delivery another battery, the replacement was also low and wouldn't be enough for the time we rented. We also lost time waiting for the other battery. However, kudos to the staff and owner because they made it right for us when we returned the bikes. Spot has good staff and a great location. Refreshing the bikes with newer models would bump it to 5 stars.
