Wayne, Josh, Joey W. and Sara with Legacy Plumbing changed our nightmare into a dream come true. We bought our 93-year-old house in Denton two years ago knowing that it had some neglect issues, but we had no idea how bad the plumbing was. The water heater had been replaced in 2019. I'm not a plumber, but I could see it did not look right. I called three local plumbers. Two actually showed up. They were in my house for about five minutes, did not even bother to look in the crawl space to see the condition or location of the water lines, gas lines and drain lines. Not even a ball park quote was offered, just a lot head shaking, eye rolling, comments of "That's a lot of work!" and "it's a complicated job", "expensive proprietary parts", and they "Had to run the water pipes through the attic and down the walls". After a few days I called the first guy to find out if he had an estimate yet. He gave the quote over the phone. The second guy sent me an email several days later. The prices these guys quoted were too high for us to start, but the lack of professionalism, and follow up was the deal breaker for me. What some people try to pass of as "professional" standards today is shocking at best and deadly at worst. About a week later I remembered calling Legacy Plumbing for some advice before we moved to Denton. I was very surprised, as promised, I got a return call after working hours from one of their technicians. Amazing attitude, cheerful, patient and professional. I called them the next day. Talking with Sara, it became clear, this was going to be a more pleasant experience than the last two. She was very patient and listened. She decided the boss, Theron, should be consulted. Theron called me later the same day. Wayne and Joey W. arrived promptly. They were patient, very professional, had positive attitudes, always respectful and were very thorough in assessing the issues. It was obvious Wayne had been doing this for decades. As Wayne assessed the situation in the house Joey took notes. Joey went into the crawl space to recon the gas, water, drain and sewer lines. He took photos of everything he found. The drain lines from the water heater dumped right under the floor and there was a six-foot open crack in the top of the cast iron sewer pipe under the gas stove in the kitchen. Only after they had all laid eyes on all the parts of the system, (Not just what was above ground) did Wayne form an action plan and prepared an estimate for the work. He explained what needed to be done, how it would be accomplished and the timeline. He said the work was not as nearly as intense, complicated, or requiring expensive proprietary parts as I had been told. He told me he would not even consider running the water lines through the attic in this house. The estimate was a fraction of what I had been given by the other two guys. Then it hit me. This wasn't just about money or a paycheck. He has the heart of a first responder, someone that would do the right thing when no one is looking. They even hauled out the six-foot section of the cast iron sewer pipe they replaced. We have been customers of Legacy Plumbing for several years and they always exceed our expectations whenever our house needs plumbing repairs. Mike is our plumbing technician who is very talented at his trade, dedicated to his job and devoted to his customers. Whatever plumbing issue that we asked him to repair, he did it efficiently and flawlessly. Even after working hours, if our house has emergency plumbing issue, we would text/ message him and he would give us recommendations or advice of what to do to lessen the intensity of the problem until he could come to our house, within couple of days, to fix the problem. If he or Legacy Plumbing would not repair certain type of plumbing issue, he would let us know and give us recommendation on a company that would do that type of repair. We really appreciate his dedication and honesty. Recently, Mike and Brandon came to our house to fix my RO leak detector alarm. They fixed it with ease and perfection. I am a "So-So" DIY person that likes to at least try to fix my home issues before calling the professionals. Now, more than ever it is important to keep your family safe from the spread of Covid 19 so I try to avoid unnecessary contact if I can. I called Legacy Plumbing to ask some questions about my issues and to let them know that If I couldn't fix it on my own, I would be calling back to have someone come out. The person at the office informed me that he would have a Plumber give me a call. I received a call from a gentlemen by the name of Theron. Theron was not just a Plumber but a "Master Plumber". Theron could have blown me off and said that he could not know for sure what my problem was unless he was there and could see it for himself (Typical rebuttal to customer - (Psychologically letting the customers know that, I'm not going to give you anything for Free Buddy) but Theron listened to my problem and gave me the correct solution to my plumbing issue. Now it is up to me to execute properly. Theron is an honest person and from what I can tell believes in treating his customers as well as potential customers with respect. Thanks to Jordan and Logan, we had ANOTHER great experience using Legacy Plumbing! We were experiencing a leak underneath our kitchen sink, which was due to some inadequate work done by our builder. As a result, new water valves and a new faucet needed to be replaced and repairs made to the water line connections. We have used Legacy Plumbing for at least ten years at this home and our previous home in Frisco. They have always accurately diagnosed our issues; given us a quote IN WRITING on the spot; and were able to do the repair on that visit.
