If you're lucky to live long enough, and you live in the same home for several years, you'll encounter lots of problems with fixtures that you might take for granted. Generally, I'm a do-it-yourselfer and don't rely on someone else to repair stuff unless it's major, like jacking the foundation. I've replaced the water shutoff valve to my house twice. Not the one at the water meter (which belongs to the city), but the one in the ground just outside our front door. And, yes, they do wear out. Deposits build up on the inside and rust takes it's toll on parts on the outside. One of the fittings started leaking just a little, possibly due to the Texas snowmageddon a few months ago. Doesn't take long for a drip to turn into a trickle, so the time came for a fix. Digging in our sticky clay soil is a real chore and I've reached that point where I'll let someone else take over this task. After plenty of research, we decided that Legacy Plumbing was our best choice for the job. Alex and Tyler showed up on time and ready to get their hands dirty. After confirming the quote that we were given over the phone, they were obviously ready to get started. We were impressed at how friendly and thoughtful they were, explaining what they planned to do and answering our questions. Then, they dug up and replaced the valve and back filled it in about an hour. They left the area so clean that you wouldn't know that they've been here. I've got a good friend who's a plumber and he isn't as nice to me as Alex and Tyler! I mentioned that rust causes valve failures. My new one is a 1" stainless ball valve. Even the handle is stainless, so no rust problem. Bottom line: the bill was very reasonable, the work was professional and we're very satisfied.

Andre was amazing, he went above and beyond the call of duty. He replaced our garbage disposal, cleaned and replaced the pipes, and also took a moment to inspect the other plumbing around the house at no extra charge! Next time we need anything plumbing related done in the future, I am calling Legacy Plumbing

I can't say enough good things about Trident plumbing. I recently had to replace my pressure…read moreregulator valve and contacted a few plumbers to get estimates and time frames. Trident had availability when I need them and their price was fair. Vlad and his assistant (my apologies I forgot the assistant's name) were the plumbers assigned to my job; They were both professional and courteous. Vlad explained what they were going to do and got quickly to work on replacing the valve. They worked tirelessly digging up and removing the old valve. Despite the heat and humidity they were happily working together to replace the valve and even dealt with interruptions from my son who was very curious about the work taking place outside of his window. They answered his questions and didn't seem annoyed by his curiosity. Once the job was complete Vlad showed me the new valve and explained how to operate it, he also explained the invoice and asked if I had any questions. I don't know much about plumbing, but the quality of the work looked top notch. They cleaned everything up and I couldn't even tell anyone had been in my flower bed. I was really impressed. Lastly, the inspector for the city of Frisco came out to inspect the job and even commented on how clean and professional the new installation was. I highly recommend Trident plumbing and I will use them for all of my future plumbing needs. I was happy with the entire process; I didn't feel like I was being upsold or overcharged for the work. Everything was explained and the work was preformed in a professional manner. Well done!

Hello, We used Trident Plumbing out of Frisco Texas for a slab leak detection during our home…read moresale. The quality of testing was terrible and our follow up requests for support was worse. Trident detected two leaks under the house. One leak they detected was 7 feet away from the actual leak and the other was 21 feet away from where they detected. Because we used their recommendations on access points and measurements we went into the slab in the garage to fix one and tore apart one of our bathrooms to access the other. Based on the actual locations we could have gone in from the exterior of the house. Their errors cost us an extra $5,700 in plumbing cost, more than $900 in bathroom repair and alot of work and time. Each time we followed up with Trident to discuss the situation we were treated very poorly. I also sent them emails with no follow up. Thomas Bates and Brian Brunner miss handled the situation. Follow Up to Response Below: I guess I can't respond to your response below but I can edit my initial comment. 1) We hired you for a leak detection and your leak detection was completely wrong. As a licensed plumber I expected quality work as I would with any licensed professional. The very experienced licensed master plumber we hired to do the digging and repair thought he could rely on your detection as well. 2) Your price per foot to dig was much higher thus we would have had a larger outlay of cash if we went with you to do the work. Furthermore, given the quality of your work, in hindsight I am thankful we did not use you. 3) Obviously you care more about your online reviews than you do your customers because this has been going on since December with no adequate response from you and yet you respond to my Yelp comment within a couple hours.

I called GPS on Saturday evening, they were here as promised at 11:15 on Monday. The price quote ended up being a great value. The two guys that arrived were friendly and professional. Just nice guys. They got to work right away, and were done in about an hour. Included in the valve replacement cost, they excavated and replaced the old and inadequate builder-installed utility box with a much better one. They substantially elevated the water pipe junction to ensure it remains easy to access in the future, installed an additional water shut-off valve, and added pea gravel for drainage. I couldn't be happier, and I recommend them enthusiastically.

At the many recommendations of neighbors we called GPS Plumbing, who answered right away. While we didn't end up using their services, that was only bc they were so kind & helped over the phone, gently prompting our non-mechanically inclined brains to help ourselves. Couple of things to note: 1) rather than being a disinterested automaton, adding us to a queue & charging us a service fee to come fix something that took 20 seconds, she talked to us & now we have a learned skill. 2) the person answering the phone is knowledgeable enough to problem solve & walk you through a basic problem they've received more than their share of panicked calls from clueless home owners about & then she guides you to try to fix it...that indicates to me a company that employs & promotes people with ethics, knowledge & goodness. They will certainly come out to help you, whichever you prefer.

It's been leaking for months after the repair and since this is a rental house and we had Christmas in between, the tenant informed me about 2.5 months later that there was still a leak. I had to dig some of the pipe to find that 5 inches below the faucet there was a fitting that was still loose and leaking. When called the company to come over and take care of the leak they wanted another ~$500 to take care of ~1ft of copper. Even the manager over the phone said and I quote "Even if you had called me the next day after the repair, we will still had to invoice you for the fix" WHAT?? What kind of licensed plumbers are this guys that won't stand behind their work? I just hope they take care of the customers going forward, remember the market has ups and downs and although you are enjoying a never ending supply of customers that will not last forever. One of the worst companies I ever deal with.

My master bathroom was out of commission for five days -- toilet backing up, upstairs bath draining into the master, the works. I also had a neighborhood plumber show up, work without my authorization, vacuum my p-trap (which flooded my master with sewer gas), make a complete mess, and then demand $575. I sent him home. Then I called Hymns Plumbing. One visit. They accessed the correct cleanout, ran their cable, cleared the line, and then ran a camera to find out what caused it. A set of keys. Lodged deep in the branch drain line -- something no snake was ever going to break through. $225. Done. But here's what really got me: when I came back they had cleaned up things I never even asked them to touch. No upsell. No drama. Just honest work at a fair price. Hymns has a customer for life. After reading reviews, I knew my decision wasn't really about the price--I was planning to hire Top Tech anyway. What disappointed me was that the estimate appointment had to be canceled that day, and I was even more frustrated by the interaction with the lady on the phone. As a business owner myself, I believe in taking care of customers and honoring commitments. If I have to do the job myself, I do it--I don't cancel on clients who are depending on me. The phone conversation felt rushed, and it seemed like she was trying to get me off the phone as quickly as possible, which I found annoying. However, Zach came out later that same day for the estimate, and he completely changed my impression. He was professional, honest, hardworking, and got straight to the point. It was 92 degrees outside, and I genuinely felt for the guy working in that heat. He provided a fair estimate, scheduled the work for the next day at 1 PM, and then actually arrived two hours early.
