I've been a few times before and have been happy with the service but sadly was not as happy this time. I've been for basic pedicures that took longer than the moon sparkle pedicure my mom and I got today for her Mother's Day treat. We don't have our nails done often due to the price but have always thought this location gave amazing service which justified the cost. For the price of the moon sparkle, I would expect the service to at least take 45 minutes -1 hour but the service was done in 20 minutes today. Today is Mother's Day which could be the reason for us being shorted on time, but consistency matters. There is no shortage of nail places in San Antonio so we'll likely check out a different business for our next splurge. read more

Some of the kindest people you will meet! Very clean and welcoming. It was just unfortunately the worst mani/pedi I've ever had. Half my toe nails weren't painted, like the actual nail is just bare. My nails look like they were 2 weeks grown out after the service, I know the importance of not flooding the cuticle but the work over all was poor and rushed. Not sure why it was rushed, when it is always empty. Very unfortunate because again, the sweetest people work there and have the warm hospitality but the work does not match especially for the price. I got a Moon Sparkle pedicure with my friend for her birthday yesterday. The pedicure itself was nice but I was charged for a gel removal (which I didn't have and they did remove the charge) but after sitting for 10-15 mins while my friend finished up, my polish immediately smudged when we tried to leave and had to be redone. Now this morning after I woke up, I noticed the polish is all smudged and scooted around. Growing up Vietnamese, my family owned a nail salon not dissimilar to that of Sweet Moment. Having family in the business helped me understand the ins and outs of this sort of work. My wife came in for a pedicure and I went along with her. I was expecting to be waiting in the lobby as she got her services done, but the owner invited me over to sit in the next massaging chair! That was awesome of him rather than be bored in the lobby. Sweet Moment is pretty popular. It's right off 1604 and sees quite a bit of traffic. I have never been here with less than 10-15 patrons in the store. Despite not getting any services, I was treated with respect and care as if I were family! I got the tropical citrus pedicure and it was amazing! The prices on the website were accurate and it was $45 pre-tip. I was immediately seated when I came in around 10:30am on a weekday but there were at least five other women receiving a service when I was there. I immediately ordered a mimosa and p My technician, Dat, was very nice and asked questions before starting the service to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. He paid lots of attention to the callus removal and to making sure my nails looked perfect. He did a great job with the foot massage also! I came here for the first time after seeing the great reviews. I thought the salon was nice and pretty, I got sat pretty quick, cool. The person started doing my nails and I was trusting the process. I saw one of my nails uneven (long at one end, short on the other) and I politely asked them to please file it down. The person was rude and grabbed my hand as if it was such a bother to fix it. I also again noticed a couple of nails were not even and I again politely asked her to file them. She completely ignored me and did not. I looked again at my nails didn't think they were too bad. I left the facility and noticed my nails were all different lengths, I had to stop at walgreens, buy a nail file and filed my nails in the parking lot. I paid for a service and was dismissed throughout the appointment, why would I go back? I called and let the manager know what happened, he did not care. I told him it made me feel like not a valued customer. I then asked for a partial refund, because I don't want to go back somewhere that is not friendly or going to give me a service that i'm paying for. He refused and told me he would give a gift card. I told him I don't want to return because of the way I was treated, he then hung up. This is not a way to treat any customer, hoping they don't normally do this. read more

The guy who did my nails knew the basics. Like just putting on the acrylic powder and shaping of the nails.which he did a good job. But did not know how to do the designs or French tip. Some girl took over and did them they came out nice but didn't even finish. Left the poor guy to do it an took him 30min for two nails of French tip and still had 2 more nails to do at this point I've been here at this nail salon for 2 hours now. He told the other nail tech to come finish and she was half assing it and was rude. Said she would be back and did another client. They tried convincing me to leave, that the nails looked good like that? I said no I just need someone to finish 2 nails and only French tip. I'm never picky but I know I'm going to be paying a lot of money for a nail set I want them to come out how I want. At This point I was being ignored and it wasn't till I had to literally tell the manger and tell him if someone can please just finish my set. 2 hours is too long to be here just for a manicure. Don't like being that person but they were being rude and definitely talking about me in front of me which is really unprofessional.it was a bad experience and never had come across something like this with a nail salon.
