I just love The Grand. Ryan is such a wonderful bartender. He ensures every guest has a good experience and drink! He offers suggestions and lets us try different wines. We have been here quite a few times and always have had a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It really is the smallest bar in sacramento! I think that just adds to its ambiance. It's intimate and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Just like all the other reviews say, [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Grand is quiet and quaint. In a good way though! It's a charming space that offers good hand-crafted cocktails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great place to grab drinks after work or to wind down a Friday evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Grand is an easy recommendation and I will visit again the next time I am in the area.

Cornelius Daniel - gin, lime, apricot, velvet falernum, Szechuan pepper syrup and soda - absolutely wonderful!

Cozy, quaint, little (14 seats total?) hip bar with wines and wonderful hand-crafted cocktails. Stopped in for a night cap. Ryan, an amazing bartender made me the Cornelius Daniel - gin, lime, apricot, velvet falernum, Szechuan pepper syrup and soda - really incredible mix of flavors. Then he made me one of their house- specialty cocktails- the classic Old Fashioned - what he calls a View from the Six - bourbon, fernet, cherry vanilla bark bitters, Angostura bitters, and pinch of sugar. Great end to the evening. They also have happy hour M-F 5-7 pm, $7 wine & wells, $8 cocktails, $4 beer, $5 cider. Totally recommend!

We were told this is the smallest bar in Sacramento. It was about the size of a large closet. There were 4ish tables inside, and about 3ish spots to sit outside. We were there on a Monday night around 8 and it was packed. Because of this, there was a fun vibe. But it was also challenging because seating was limited. The bartenders were fun and friendly. They made great drinks. A great social spot but a little too compact for my liking.

To say this place is a hidden gem of Sacramento is an understatement. Having lived here since 2007 I have always seen people vibing in the outdoor seating and never once checked the place out. Insert all the regret in the world once I finally took the plunge and walked in. This place has to be Sacs smallest bar and I love it. The bartender was so friendly and attentive and made the drinks to perfection each round. My guy and I came here on a random Wednesday as well as a Friday evening and the vibe was on point each time. Friday had a very interesting collection of people and the music both nights was great. A perfect place to wind down the evening or even start. Now that I am in on the secret of The Grand I will have to say this place will definitely be in rotation for many nights to come.

On a recent work trip, I stumbled upon the cutest, coziest, tiniest bar (around 20 seats?) I've ever been to, and I love it! For a moment there, I thought I might as well be in a tiny speakeasy bar in NYC! Perfect for a drink or two, after work, happy hour (M-F 5-7), pre-dinner, & post dinner night cap! The bar program was creative and made me want to try every single signature drink. Wish I had discovered this bar much earlier. Apparently they would change their menus every few months. I had the Jezebel's Joint which was a mezcal drink. Very well-balanced & flavorful. And then there was Parlay, pineapple rum with coconut liquor . So yummy, felt like I was beach side under a cabana Other than spirits, this bar got great selection of wines & whiskies too. I highly recommend this if you are in the area. Got a cutest patio in front. It's a casual cozy friendly neighborhood bar with quality drinks. Situated next to a big garage and there usually street parkings available. Walking distance from many hotels nearby.

Rating 5.0 TLDR: As an updated review, nothing has changed. The drinks from the grand are still "grand". Give this bar a try. See for yourself :)

A small and cozy place (contrary to the name "Grand") great to go to for a drink. They have a happy our until 7 on weekdays (select cocktails are $7, beer and wine discounted too). They do have outside seating as well but there are no heaters. Inside they have some high tables, bar seating and a cozy couch seating area. The restrooms are located outside of the main building, just around the corner and require a key. They have a good selection of wine and cocktails and the bartenders are very friendly/helpful. The light is dim on the inside and outside so it creates a very relaxing ambience. Keep in mind that it can get a little busy during the weekend. I've been here about 3 times and my experience has been consistently great! I definitely recommend you pay this place a visit.

We ordered a pairing of their best selling green curry ceviche complimented by a Riesling. we also ordered the Thai beef tartare. Ok, at first bite of the tartare... FLAVOR! It was so delicious and paired well with the Riesling. The green curry ceviche was refreshing crunchy and zesty. The beef tartare is the best in the Sacramento area hands down. I reckon as the weather gets warmer I may opt for indoor seating, but this option is definitely worth coming back for. I couldn't recommend this place any more. This hidden gem offers an experience that's unlike anything else in the city. The setup is simple but charming: you literally walk up to a window and order your wine. I believe it's one ring for white, two for red, and three or four for sparkling--don't quote me on that, but it adds a playful, old-world vibe that makes the whole experience memorable. The Wine Window is affordable, laid-back, and surprisingly quaint. It's the kind of place where the ambiance, the people, and the energy make it feel more like an experience within an experience--not just a drink stop. I had the chance to chat with John, the owner, who shared a bit of the backstory. He previously owned a full wine room nearby, but when the pandemic hit, he had to pivot. Instead of calling it quits, he leaned into a smaller, more intimate concept inspired by wine windows in Europe. Honestly, I think the scale makes it even better. The outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine while people-watching on L Street, and yes, there's even a restroom available (a rare but very appreciated amenity for this type of setup). If you find yourself downtown, do yourself a favor--swing by The Wine Window, have a chat with John, and enjoy a unique Sacramento experience.
